This is our second purchase of a bed from the Covington location and the experience was once again above and beyond great. We bought our first bed there in February 2022 and loved it, and the customer service was so great that we returned for another bed. I have had many surgeries and I face more in the next year due to health issues. Because of this, we need to change from an adjustable bed to an adjustable split frame, (each side adjusted independently of the other). Brett Marrow the store manager, helped us. Brett was fantastic. He listened to my needs and the concerns I had. The only sad part is we have to wait until the 28th for our bed. Brett was great to work with !! read more

It's crazy how I've been in the market for mattress for more than a couple of months now. Been to Macy's, Mattress City, Mattress Firm, you name it, I've been there. Even considered online shopping. One random day, I've decided to walk down all the mattress stores at Northgate and stumbled upon this small store in the corner. ZERO stars. Beware of slimy business practices. I purchased a pillow last week, unused, and realized it is too thick and will literally injure me. I have a serious neck injury which is easily exacerbated by pillows of the wrong thickness. I explained this to the employee when I purchased the pillow. I should have brought my main pillow in with me but we were out running errands and decided to stop in. I was too busy to come back to return it for about a week, but again the pillow was unused. The employee said NOTHING about no returns when I purchased this pillow for $120!!! Don't you think I would have hesitated if I had known? I would never have purchased a $120 pillow with no returns with the condition I have. They say it's on the contract which he gave to me without mentioning anything about zero return policy. He saw that I did not read that part. He said if I had come in the next day he could have done something for me. Well if he had told me that I would have! He refused to do anything about it. I asked if there is someone else I can call he said no. They owe me $120. read more

***You should shop at this mattress store!*** After an unfortunate and unexpected incident with my last mattress, I needed an inexpensive full size mattress within a few days. I just got done traveling from Texas yesterday, and my family and I were over being stressed about specifics. We just wanted a mattress for me to use for 2 years. As soon as we walked in, Kiante was attentive and tuned in to our needs. He asked about my preferences and took the time to make us feel comfortable and listened to. He didn't try to sell us the most expensive mattress in the store, and instead tried his best to help us out as much as he could. I was directed to the stock of items I was interested in by 13:25. I made my selection by 13:27. My purchase was complete by 13:32. I was back in my apartment (in Belltown) by 13:58. My mattress and box springs were delivered by 14:30. The bed was made by 14:45. All that for under $300. I went to Sleep Country and Mattress Only and Ikea before coming here. At Ikea, I can never get anyone's attention. Mattress Only was nice and agreed to price match by 5%. Sleep Country was very aggressive and rude. The woman's name was Allyson and she was very aggressive in her sales tactics that I left even though she offered me a better price than Mattress Only. She seemed intent on beating them whereas the guy at Mattress Only was more honest and told me to go look at Sleep Country across the street. Mattress Depot was great. I was probably here for an hour debating the merits of the different mattresses and Christian was helpful but sometimes a bit too technical with the details. I wish I had read the other reviews earlier and talked to Kyle because he sounds consistently great. I was able to get same day delivery when I ordered by 3pm and on a Sunday the mattress was at my place by 6pm. read more

I came to the Northgate location in dire need of a new mattress. Will and James spent over two hours answering my questions, making recommendations and ensuring I found the right fit. I walked away with a Sweda 11' memory foam with adjustable base. Mattress Depot even hauled away my old mattress! I didn't tell my boyfriend I bought this mattress, I wanted him to find out for himself. When he came over the next night he asked if I bought a pillow top (because he couldn't feel springs like my old mattress). I've never seen a grown man so excited. He said my mattress was more comfortable than his and the next morning said it was the best sleep he's ever had. It's true, this mattress feels amazing. I won't name names here and embarrass the associate we worked with, but my husband and I definitely felt like he tried to take advantage of us based on the fact that we had a nice car and looked like we had money. He kept trying to guess what my husband did for a living and continued to mention that we had a nice ride so we probably like nice things. That's great, compliment all you want, but when you try to overcharge me for things that are clearly included in the Labor Day deals you promote, I know you're trying to take my money. Listen, I get that this guy has got a family to feed, but I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to promote a deal and then charge certain customers more. See attached picture. The deal clearly states free box spring, but the guy wanted to charge us $300 for the box spring. I asked him about the deal on the promo sign and he made up some story that I can't even remember anymore because it made no sense. So, because I'm not as dumb of a customer as he thought I was, I went to the Lynnwood Mattress Depot and asked if the box spring was included and they confirmed that it was in fact free. AND they also offered to include free delivery, which the Northgate guy was trying to charge me $60 for. So you can probably guess where I bought my mattress set. But, I am giving Northgate two stars because the guy did give us a good deal on some pillows. read more

Absolutely fee ripped off. I bought the mattress over the phone. I had a particular mattress in mind, and I needed it quickly. I was told by Casey that there was another mattress available that was even better than the one I was after. I asked if I could return the mattress I was ordering if I didn't like it. I was told I could as long as I bought their mattress cover for $90. We received the mattress- a Sweda 11 which is supposed to be plush, but if it hard as a rock. I wanted to return it for a beauty rest black, and then I was told they no longer carry that model. I then said i just wanted to return the sweda and get my money back so I could go buy the mattress that I actually want. I was told that is not possible. The return is only good for a different mattress of the same size and price. Now I am stuck with a mattress I hate, and can't sleep omg I regret ever calling mattress depot. read more

How refreshing it is to walk into a space that will determine the quality of your sleep for years to come and be given not only a warm smile, handshake and intro, but also your undivided attention, a quick mattress 101 on single vs continuous coiled beds vs latex vs memory foam beds, a comparison of what the other stores offered, and all with NO pressure to buy (no "hurry up and make your decision now, because you know, we could sell that very mattress you want in the next minute!"), NO hidden fees or behind the counter "discounting" but just honest, in your face, here's what you'll get, here's why we're more economical, here's why we can sell that for this price, here's how your spine will benefit, and here are the prices and here's the discount, let's calculate it together so you can see. I was very impressed. Impressed enough to not dabble and leave to think over the decision overnight. Thank you Kyle, you won us over with your honesty and you did not make me feel icky and want to run out of that store empty-handed. You are GOOD at your job. Seriously, a good's night sleep is important, and gone are my days of buying $50 used, dumpy mattresses. I can and will skimp on all of my apt's furnishings, but I will no longer skimp on mattresses. Humanity is united not only by our banalities but by our peculiarities and hang-ups. Sometimes we need sarcasm as a reminder that all good people are capable of stepping back and laughing at the world. It's about keeping things in perspective or, in the case of something as inherently absurd as buying a mattress, an opportunity for everyone in the room to acknowledge just how odd this life can be. It's hard to fathom the experience of buying a mattress until you enter a store like Mattress Depot USA. Sleep is a basic human need; without it, our brains go soft and our bodies turn to mush. You might even say that sleep is a right. The idea that a good night's sleep is bound up in space-aged material and deep variations in box spring structure is, to say the least, insulting to any of us who see sleep as no more exalted than pissing or crying. I suppose that there are people out there who are true connoisseurs of sleep, who really get off on the difference between memory foam and latex oxide. But those fools are few and far between. Most of us just want a bed to call home. Stepping into a mattress store invites a certain level of paranoia: Have I been sleeping to the fullest extent? Am I only barely alive? Will a $1500 bed make me a better person? Why can't I just piss and cry and call it a day, sated? That's why it was so great to walk through the doors of Mattress Depot USA and meet Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. Actually, there were only two Justins--one over-the-top and boisterous, the other laid-back and blasé--but in a way, everyone in that store was a Justin. Justin #1 was the point man. He didn't exactly welcome us at the door or press us from the outset, but he immediately perked up, bounded over, and without missing a beat, asked if we wanted to look at any mattresses. And it didn't let up from there. Justin #1 walked a fine line between talking a lot and talking too much, between pushing buttons and crossing line (a different line than the fine line at the start of that sentence). As we looked at mattresses, he highly mocked us, he feigned exasperation at our attempts to save as much money as possible, and he offered us a deal with little fanfare because duh, a deal is a thing you do that seals itself and contemporary adults know the score on that front. Justin #1 was not fucking around but he was definitely fucking around, if that makes any sense. But it was Justin #2--kicked back on (what else) a mattress, staring up at the ceiling, and hanging out like "Just Kicking It: With the Dudes" was the name of the business, lost in some combination of thought and ennui--who really told the full story of what made Mattress Depot feel like a palace of Justins where the price of admission was a simple willingness to sit back and marvel at the utter strangeness of piles and piles of beds worth thousands and thousands of dollars, all with the express purpose of making that their future owner fall asleep safely each night and not be subjected to a world of horror and delirium. Sleep is so basic, so close to who we are that it is invaluable. Beds are horribly mundane but so is the human heart, except that it is also an extraordinary piece of engineering that keeps us going to enjoy the day--the profundity at the heart of mundanity. The everyday isn't the opposite of living, it's the essence of it. The deepest thing in the world is doing nothing at all. Mankind at rest is where dreams are hatched and if we aren't aware that dreams are coming true, are we really fulfilled? Doubtlessly, Justin #2 knew all of this. He communicated it telepathically with Justin #1, even as they couldn't have played more different roles out on the showroom floor. It was about what it means to be Justin, no matter what number they give you or who manages to slump over first for the day. Everyone who steps inside that store becomes a little more Justin. And when you leave, you can smile to yourself because in a way, we are all Justin. read more

I recently moved and decided it was a good time to replace my old mattress. I was pressed for time (and patience) and wanted to make the transaction as quick and painless as possible. I called several area stores and received varying levels of crappy service. When I called Mattress Depot and spoke with Kyle, he took the time to listen to my criteria and made several mattress suggestions based on quality and price range. He didn't try to push any models, but simply explained the benefits of each related to cost. I ended up selecting a model over the phone (30-day trial period!) and it was delivered the next day by two very professional delivery men. I have to say, I am very pleased with both the quality and comfort of the mattress I selected. You should definitely call Kyle if you are shopping for a new mattress. read more

I needed a real bed, real bad. For years, I've slept on dorm beds, then cheap futons, and finally cheap memory foams on top of my cheap futon. Now that I have a real home, I felt it was time to treat myself to a real bed. My first shopping experience was at Sleep Country (see other review). Mattress Depot was right next door, so I figured, why the heck not?! As soon as I walked in, Herb (the friendliest, most quiet spoken sales person you will ever meet) greeted us and helped find what we were looking for. No pressure to buy, no pressure to decide immediately. He started off by showing us the cheapest bed they had. Then showed us one level up...then another level up. In the end, we bought the cheapest full size bed (for the guest room) and the 3rd level he showed us of their queen size. The deal came with 1/2 off the full size box spring, as well as a free queen size support frame (valued at $165) in lieu of the box spring. Herb also gave us free delivery on the first bed and then just charged $10 for the second bed. On top of that, what sold us was the fact that Mattress Depot was started by a local Seattleite! read more

There were no gimmicks, the sales man (Kyle) was super nice, and our mattress was delivered the next day (on a Saturday) when they said it would be delivered. There was no pressure to go up in price (we paid $499.99=$612.80 after taxes and delivery fee) from the sales guy and I've never seen delivery guys work so fast. The $499 included the box spring Delivery is free if you get a mattress that is $599+ There are also financing options through Wells Fargo. My 12 year old mattress that I've had since college was causing me some serious back pain. I decided it was time to be an adult and buy a legit mattress. After reading some reviews on Mattress Depot I went in on a Saturday morning to just start looking. I walked in and was welcomed by Kyle. He asked some great questions and showed me several different mattresses based on my preferences. I was taken immediately by one but was concerned about the price. Never once did I feel that Kyle was just trying to make a sale. He completely understood my need to take a bit of time and think it over. He told me the total price of what I would be spending out the door and let me know that he'd be there all day. I left, had some lunch and went back primarily because of his honesty and knowing that this was probably going to be the best price for the type of mattress I wanted. I felt so good about the way I was treated, and the no-pressure sales tactic by Kyle that I plunked down my card with the greatest of ease. I bought a mattress and frame from them a couple years ago, and was sorely disappointed. They told me the frame was pine. It was not. They sold me a mattress that sagged and gave up so fast that after only two years, I had to go buy another. Thinking it was some freak occurrence, when I shopped for my new mattress, I popped in. Kyle is a great salesman-- he asked a good set of questions to get a sense of what we were looking for, and gave us a range of options. What's our budget, how long we want it to last, who's going to be using it, even how we sleep (side, back, stomach,etc). He can get technical if you want to, and is not pushy. After reading so many reviews I was committed to speaking with Kyle (since everybody raves about him) and luckily he was there when my husband and I went into the store. We just had a baby and realized that our queen size bed was way too small for co-sleeping and we would need a king. We prefer our beds on the firm side, but since being pregnant my hips have been burning and so we needed something with some softness as well. We also did not want a box spring, because we would be putting the mattress directly on the carpet so if our Little One rolled off it would be a non issue (not that we wouldn't prevent that from happening of course). I was shocked initially by the prices for mattresses and figured I was going to need to shop on Craigslist, but after talking with Kyle we learned more about mattresses. He is very knowledgeable and so NICE!!! He was great at asking questions to see what we might like and led us to the clearance section. We found a great king size bed and it ended up being more than what we had hoped to spend, but I am POSITIVE that we got the BEST deal out there, because my idea of what was a reasonable price was very warped. We also got a mattress cover that is waterproof since we have a little one and they last a long time. He packaged it up and we put it on our car and drove home. We slept on it last night and AHHHHH it was so comfortable AND firm (which I LOVE)! On David S.'s response: It's true that the additional charges resulted in only a hold on funds, and eventually those funds were "let go." While they were being held, however, they were removed from my bank balance and were unavailable for use. As for the customer providing inaccurate information: I was never asked for the proper address. The salesperson used the address I had given him previously without confirming that it was for the credit card number that he charged. But these details aren't really the issue. Things like this happen, people make mistakes. The salesperson's response was arrogant. He was right, I was wrong. Rather than apologizing for the inconvenience, he insisted that it was not his fault, there was nothing he would do, and he recommended that I just bear it. And, were I the owner reading about a customer's dissatisfaction online, I would be immediately reconciliatory. I would contact the customer directly, apologize for the situation, and ask what I personally could do to make things better. I would never post details of the transaction -- much less claim that the fault lay with the customer -- in public. read more

This place rules. We saw a few of their listings on CraigsList and called to see if they had anything we wanted. Showed up a few minutes later, laid on several of the mattresses, talked to the guy there (Daniel) and left with a factory 2nd king with delivery set for tomorrow evening. Nothing wrong with the factory 2nd, just a 2" rip on the top. Just enough where it's no longer covered on a warranty. We had considered buying completely new for a warranty, but just about anything done to the mattress (rips, tears, whatever) would void it..so we went with something that was brand new but less than perfect. Daniel himself delivered us the mattress (with box spring and the metal bed frame..which he somehow included in this great deal) the following night, right on time. Incredibly nice guy, fantastic deals here. Would be happy to go back and buy a bed for our guest room. Yes, they do have those really cheap king/queen beds for like $200-300..they are soooooo hard and springy though. He let us try them out for kicks. Heh. But it's better than the floor. This review is primarily for the customer service we received from Kyle, the manager of Mattress Depot in Northgate. Will update with an actual review of the product we received at a later time. My wife and I had been consistently putting off a purchasing a new mattress for the past two years until this past weekend, when we decided that we absolutely needed to bite the bullet and make the investment. After having looked around online for days, we came across Mattress Depot on yelp and noticed the high reviews and emphasis on quality customer service. After having visited Macy's and JC Penny, we figured why not try this out? On Saturday morning, we entered the store and were immediately greeted by Kyle, the store manager. He took the time to ask us about our needs, our budget, and what kind of mattresses we were interested in. He then led us through the process of testing out a couple of the selections, and provided a brief mattress 101 on the differences between the types (memory foam, latex, inner coil, etc.). This was extremely helpful as we were able to really distinguish between the different mattresses we were testing. The best part about the whole experience was the straight-talk and lack of pushiness from Kyle. He gave us time to test out the products, talk about it alone, and come up with our own opinions. In addition, while we didn't hit the exact price we were looking for, he did help bring the cost down significantly to a point that we felt comfortable. We received our brand-new Englander latex plush mattress the next day with no damage and great service from the delivery guys. We've only had one night of sleep on it, but so far I am quite pleased. We'll be updating our review after a couple of months in hopes that we can provide more content for other potential buyers. read more

I went mattress shopping with a friend as moral support in the quest to find a decent bed whilest fighting off predatory sales people. Walking into this store and conversing with their owner and sales associate was a breath of fresh air. They took the time to educate us about their products and mattresses in general even after we told them we were looking at their competitor's stores before making a purchasing decision. In the end their excellent low-pressure customer service won both of us over. Not only did my friend purchase her bed here, but I will be going directly to Mattress Depot the next time I'm in the market for a new bed. read more
