We went to the Millbury Raymour & Flanigan expecting to buy quality furniture. The salesman confidently sold us what he called their "best" bedroom set, which turned out to be a complete joke. First delivery only the couches show up. We call and are told the rest of the order was never even processed. That alone should have been a red flag, but it only got worse from there. Next delivery: missing dresser and a damaged chest. Then again. And again. And again. Eight separate delivery attempts and they STILL couldn't get it right. Every single chest arrived damaged. That's 9 days of taking time off work for a company that clearly has zero quality control and no respect for its customers' time. After the 8th failure, we demanded an exchange. They sent us an hour away to Warwick, RI, where we wasted 5 hours of our day, only to be blindsided with a demand for over another $4,000. Nearly double the original cost. No one mentioned that beforehand completely misleading and unacceptable. We were baffled at how another set could be so much more when we thought we were getting one of the best sets. Their response to this was "We apologize your salesman doesn't have great product knowledge." That's not an explanation that's an admission of how poorly this place is run. We were forced into a 9th delivery - still not right. After over 2 months of dealing with this mess, we scheduled a repair, only for them to cancel the day before because they "overbooked," and push us out another 2 weeks like our time means nothing. We've asked to speak to a manager 8-10 times--and have been completely ignored. No callbacks, no follow-up, nothing. At every single step, this company has failed--sales, ordering, delivery, customer service, and management. Damaged products, repeated mistakes, wasted time, zero accountability, and complete disregard for customers. This isn't just bad service--it's a complete failure and disgrace of a business. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!

Let me say that I am 82, still very active but have some back and hip issues. I received the new chair a few days later and sat in it whilst the delivery men were still here and gave the ok that it was fine and they left. I covered the chair with a blanket and towels which I always do to keep it clean, sat in it for two days and realized it was not a good fit for me. I called to see if I could return it and was told no returns. i can return shoes or clothing or other items if not used for full refunds but not a $$1,349 chair, I did not use the chair while I was going back and forth with customer service to no avail, but eventually told they would let me return it after but would take off 25 percent, restocking fee, but i could only get credit in the store, no refund, and would also have to pay another pick up and delivery fee. On the brochure they handed me with my receipt for $1,609.14, tax and delivery, it says "due to the care we put forth, unable to process returns once merchandise has been accepted". I am keeping the chair but I will not do business with them again. I believe your salesmen should be trained to tell this to potential buyers. PS: I let my husband read this before I send it and he would not be as pleasant as I am.

Let me tell you how incompetent some places can be, and I blame myself for trying to save some…read moremoney. I ordered a sectional online, I got the next day delivery. The delivery arrived on time and the delivery people were polite and kept our house clean and dent free. However, after pulling the three layers of plastic, foam and cardboard off of one of the two pieces it was discovered that they had sent me a sofa instead of the other half of my sectional. So I had one piece of a gray sectional, and one royal blue sofa. I called the store to reveal the mix up only to be met with severe confusion. After multiple back and forth phone calls, it's been determined that the correct other half of my sectional was still at the store, which they showed to be a funny mistake by laughing about it. Someone accidentally allowed the blue sofa to be loaded in its place. Sounds like a simple fix, right? Have the delivery guys who were just here come back and get the mistake sofa, and then come back with the correct sofa. Well that didn't happen. I waited for hours only to be broken hearted to learn the mistake was never being corrected. Here we are over a day later, no "I'm sorry for the error", no "we have a plan to fix it", but I'm met with push back on the telephone from the store. Finally I get a hold of the new delivery company and they tell me it's going to be more than a week before they can come back. I'm sorry but that's not acceptable. This should have been corrected the same day, if not the NEXT day. Big lots does not care about you, just your money. I'm sick over this. I will not ever buy another thing from this place ever again. I will be continuing my attempts to contact corporate. And hey, Bruce Thorn , I'm not done with this shit until I am able to contact you so you understand the frustration I'm going thru with this. I STILL don't have a couch to sit on, but I do have a couch I CANT sit on that belongs to someone else.

Since Ray at Better Electric retired, it appears that Sclamo's has assumed the customers from Better Electric. Asked Peter about free delivery and adding washing machine hoses as Ray had done at Better Electric. Peter went on to tell me that he is the largest dealer in Worcester County and has a large payroll. He told me that if I wanted free hoses to go and find Ray. Looks like he is now wearing a big hat and has a pompous attitude. I would never shop there again and urge others to shop around. I found prices that were better in Milford and Bellingham. Arrogant and pompous describes my experience at Sclamo's. You've lost a customer for life and word spreads fast!

It was new and priced $999 marked down from the Macy's price of $2999! Furniture Now stores their leather sofas, ottomans and chairs in a big unheated old mill building. They have some others a mile away in a trailer type building. If you visit the mill building in winter, wear warm clothes. Bring a flashlight to accurately see the color of the furniture and feel free to take a cushion outside to see the real color which is what we did before buying. They recommended delivery by Braveheart Moving. Brad is the owner. He charged $150 to deliver the very large sofa to us which was a great deal. Brad did a great job setting up the sofa and removing the packing material. If you're up for an adventure and want to save a lot of money on leather furniture. Check this place out.

I've been scouring Craigslist on the regular and then I came across a listing for a Claudia ii couch from Furniture Now. I called the number and Bruce, the owner, picked up. I've called with questions a couple of times and each time Bruce picked up the phone. He is great at answering questions. My husband was working, but I was determined so I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to come for a ride. We decided to make a day of it and stop by Ikea as well. I rented a U-Haul and off we went. We arrived at the address and walked inside. We were greeted by Bruce. He knew why we were there, but he still asked if we saw anything we were interested in, and not in a pushy way, more in a inquiring way. The showroom is full of stunning couches, I would have loved any one of them in our place, but I was set on the couch I picked. Bruce said that my couch was at their warehouse just 2 minutes down the road. No to be overly dramatic, but a girl has got to be careful... We thought, warehouse... two ladies, can we trust him? We know how to protect ourselves and I REALLY wanted that couch, so we said, lets do it! The answer is yes, you can trust him. He really put us at ease when he began to share about his own two girls, he is clearly a very proud dad :) The warehouse is exactly that, nothing fancy, but for storage it really doesn't need to be. When you walk inside you will see an ocean of couches, sofa chairs, love seats and even some mattresses. They were all really enticing, so much so that my friend is now considering buying one from him. Bruce showed me the couch. He had a few of it in stock and even went to the extent to unwrap some for me to let me pick which one I wanted. I was a little surprised that the cushions are attached to the couch, I wasn't sure that I was going to like that. So far the cushions are holding up great and they aren't sliding around, I think it's okay that they are attached. I can say nothing but good things about my experience with Bruce and his business Furniture Now. I felt really comfortable buying from him, I wish every buying experience was like this one. I am so happy with my purchase that we are definitely going to him for a new mattress. New Leather Couch vs. Cats - Our Experience: We were nervous about buying a leather couch because we have 3 cats. They have some Maine Coon mixed in them and are really large kitties. The fur was the problem for us, it is actually the reason we considered buying leather. Our last couch became the larges pet bed we ever owned. It was a huge, soft, cushioned, and had a soft microfiber feel material. Even with pet couch covers and large microfiber blankets, the fur was a nightmare! We have purchased a lifetime worth of lint rollers, but they were never enough. Keeping fur off the fabric was an everyday job and having guests over was just embarrassing. I read quite a few blogs and the general consensus was that cats do not like the feel of real leather on their claws; it's too smooth for them. Keyword "real" leather -- they love tearing up the fake pleather stuff. With the new leather couch there is no fur to be cleaned up. It saves us about 15 minutes of lint rolling and washing blankets a day. Our cats are SUPER cuddly cats and love to jump up when we are there, but they don't go on it when we are not around. Our cats actually treat this couch so much better than our last couch; they don't use this one as a scratching post. We keep their claws clipped and they are great with it. Right in the beginning one of the cats tried to see if she could jump up on the back ledge, they used to lay on the back ledge of our old couch. Well she failed and left a 3 inch scratch. It being less than a week old, I was so upset and though what a mistake we made getting this couch. But we rubbed it a bit and now you can't even see it. And a if a little mark is left, it won't bother us because real leather, being the hide of an animal, always has some natural markings.
