The crappy base model was just a bait and switch to get us into the store. Then he did the whole "this price is only good right now" which was followed by his offer to call another store to price match. Bottom feeder sales tactics on display! We walked out and got something comparable at another local store for $1300 less, aka a real BF deal.

Bassett was a very large store with many different types of furniture. We saw multiple couch styles and there were different types of cushions to sit on and test out. We saw several sectional couches, a reclining couch, a recliner chair, and a few stools. So many items to look at. After everything we didn't actually find the type of couch that we wanted and we didn't end up buying anything but we did appreciate all of the information. It does have some great options but it was a little overwhelming for me.

Between sale items not being available for showing and backed up for delivery towards end of August and pushy salesmen we didnt manage to get anything going. We just moved into our new build home and wanted to find some light furnishings and more importantly some beds for family to sleep on since we decided to junk our old smelly mattresses from the place we were renting prior. Almost home and we saw mr. Nabb sign from other side of highway. Decided to stop for one last shot at finding something and was I glad we did. Met by such a personable family that owned the store. They made us felt welcomed, listen to our story and began to pull out all sorts of mattresses from the back for is to lay on and try to find a perfect match for our preferences. It was closing time for them but they were doing their best to provide us with unparalleled experience. Not only did we get fair prices on all items we chose, but they actually had them available right there and then. Owner even offered to deliver them to us that same night so my family wouldn't have to sleep on the floors not one night more. I couldn't even begin to explain how much that meant to me. My wife and I…read morepurchased a really nice mattress set up from another Mattress location about 10 years ago and it's not as comfortable as it used to be, so we were looking for a potential replacement. Upon entering I met Daniel, the sales rep, who shared his expertise on all the differing styles of mattresses they offer. The one thing you notice almost right away is just how expensive mattresses can be depending on the maker. I've included quite a number of photos to drive that point home. With that said, you are spending a third of your life horizontally on a mattress so it's worth getting something that fits your physique. They do have deals and incentives and they can text or email you any additional information concerning your choices. They currently offer a $300 gift which can be applied towards pillows, sheets, and accessories. They do have some less expensive mattresses at the back of the store, which are perfect for guest rooms. One of the best deals I spotted was for $500 where you could get a nice mattress with an adjustable base. If you want something locally made, they have Stearns&Foster mattresses which are made in Brenham, Texas. You will also find a unique type of mattress known as the Purple mattress which has its own unique design (see photo below). They will also haul away your old mattress for $100, but they can probably work out a better price depending on your purchase. After we review all the information will be back to make our choice. I really need to try out beds and listen to my spine as I do so. I need a firm mattress, BUT I am NOT a side sleeper. Yet, the mattress can't be too firm. We met Daniel, who was so, so kind. He listened to our needs. We told him we don't want any bells and whistles--no adjustable beds. We wanted a King, with the 2 twin box springs below. The beds we were looking at were REALLY more than we wanted to spend. Upwards of $2500.00. Daniel went to the back wall and pulled down a Sealy Posturepedic and got us a GREAT DEAL within our budget. I didn't think it could be done. I suggested that we wait for the next sale and return. We have had our bed for a week now, and we are so happy with it. The comfort level is PERFECT for my spine as well as for my husband. We are BOTH happy. We also wanted to buy a new bed for our son, who is only 16 and is 6'2" tall. Still growing. We thought getting him a Full mattress would help. Daniel explained that our son would actually need a Queen and that a Queen would be the size that would be appropriate for his height. He found a mattress for $500.00 for our son. We are going to buy that mattress and one for our daughter next month. I hope to go when Daniel is there again. He made the process of finding a bed EASY. It's NEVER easy for me. EVER. The last time, it took over an hour, and I left because I couldn't find one in our price range that worked for my spine. I anticipated this was going to happen again. It did not. As well, he helped us with our son's bed and taught us a lot. Daniel was a professional. He managed to get us discounts as well. Our bed has been here for a week, and for the first time in MY LIFE, I look forward to going to bed. :) I love our new bed. My HUSBAND loves our new bed. Um, our dogs love the new bed, too. Nobody asked them, but they felt they should share their opinions as well. Mattress Firm, seriously, you need to do whatever you can to keep Daniel with your company. He is professional, kind, and courteous. He knows his facts about the products he is selling. A note, though? People with spine issues need a firmer mattress- but that doesn't mean they are back sleepers. I can't sleep on my back because I have too much hardware and arthritis. It's just that we need to keep our spine straight and aligned whilst sleeping. Let your associates know. It really was a pleasure working with Daniel. I do hope our paths cross again. On Friday I was told the warehouse was closed and to go back on Saturday. On Saturday when I was picking up my furniture I was told the spider lamp I bought did not come in and I had to wait until Thursday. Again, on Thursday I called and was greeted by a rude woman who told me I had the wrong number and hung up on me! It was not wrong because SHE gave it to me I called again and she ignored my calls. It wasn't until I called from another phone that she picked up again and I asked to speak with her boss. I told him she was rude but he didn't seem to care. Like if he was used to getting complaints on her. I finally got my lamp almost a week later and that's because I kept calling to see if they had it. They had no problem taking my money but made it a nightmare to get me my things! I will NEVER buy from them again and I definitely do NOT recommend them!
