Our mattress pump stopped working in September. Since then, we have called no fewer than nine times trying to get this resolved. Nine calls. Nine different representatives. Zero solutions. We were essentially told to keep living with a broken product, and we did, because at least it was stuck at a livable setting. Fast forward to this week, exactly one week after our one-year warranty expired. Suddenly Sleep Number has a solution. We need a new pump. And of course, it is no longer covered. Let that sink in. Nine months of documented calls about the same issue, acknowledged by their own customer service team, and the fix only becomes available the moment they no longer have to pay for it. That is not a coincidence. That is a pattern. To make it worse, I have received regular outreach from this store location asking me to refer new customers. I told them directly how unhappy I was. They kept asking anyway. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I will be sharing this story every single time someone asks me about Sleep Number, which in my world is often. These are expensive mattresses sold on the promise of better sleep and better health. What they deliver, at least in our experience, is a broken product, a runaround, and a company that times its "solutions" to coincide with the end of your coverage. Save your money. Our Sleep Number bed was supposed to be delivered this morning between 8-11am. Entire room moved out to accommodate movers. My husband is disabled. I took off work for this. We get a call at 9am stating 'someone got injured and bed cannot be delivered for 3 more weeks. One bed cost $7000. Sleep number is a big company. Do they have 1 delivery person? I'm confused. Neal at the Cerritos Sleep Number store is amazing. My 84 year old mom recently broke her hip and we decided to ugrade her bed and purchased one on online for her. We didn't expect her home until after her bed was due to be delivered on July 18th. However, in rehab, we found out my mom had stage 4 lung cancer. They decided to send her home sooner than expected with a hospital bed, which they were unable to get into her bedroom. Not wanting to be in a hospital bed in the family room, she is now sleeping on a old bed that is too uncomfortable after having hip surgery. I called Sleep Number hoping to maybe order the same bed from the outlet in Cerritos, only a few miles from my mom's home, but was told the delivery would be 10-14 days. After explaining the situation to Neal, he made a call and after about 15 minutes, we had a new delivery date, which is this Wednesday and she will be sleeping in comfort in a few days. I just want to recognize Neal. We didn't buy a bed from him at this store, but he went the extra mile to help me and my mom. Salesmen are nice and accommodating. However the product itself and after sales customer service is terrible. I received a defective bed on delivery, which they refused to replace/exchange for a working one. They attempted to repair it on three separate occasions, none of which fixed the problem. After the third repair attempt, I asked for a full refund and return before the "free" trial period ended. Of course it wasn't free to return despite what their advertisements claim. They charged me $750 to return the bed initially until I spent an hour and a half on the phone arguing how the bed was delivered broken. Eventually they dropped it to $250 after removing whatever bullshit fees they pulled out of thin air. At this point I just wanted to get rid of the piece of junk so I can make room for a real bed in my room so I paid that amount to get it returned. Arrived at '7:15pm on Wednesday 1/22/25 and although lights were on and open sign was lit up, doors were locked and we did not see anyone inside and the parking lot was empty. We also called and no answer. Your hours are posted online as open until 8pm so I do not know why no one was there to help us. I bought sleep number bed near 5 years ago and paid almost $11000 and expected for the good night sleep bed. I am very disappointed with the product and service. Although I still have 5 years warranty, the bed has become separated in the middle. It woke me up when I am turning at night. I called for the service but I was told that I have to pay for the assessment and pay extra for the repairing. It is so unfair. Horrible experience here today! Manager Chris assisted us in buying 4 pillow about a week ago. Today I came to exchange 2 of them. There was no greeting or acknowledgment. Neal, says, " we were fighting over you" and laughed. He mentioned it would take sometime to exchange them. Neal had to ask Chris a question across the room which he answered him. I said "well Chris sold them to us maybe he should do the exchange". After everything was done, Neal's printed jammed so he asked Chris if he could print from his, he said I'm busy. A customer walks in and Chris says, "you have an exchange" and proceeded to help that customer. Neal couldn't print from another printer he had tried so Chris says again from across the room "you will get a email copy of the receipt". Ummm, no I want a printed one just like I got last week. Neal,gave me the back copy of my receipt that had printed before the paper jam and wrote the order number on there. I'm a repeat customer who purchased my first sleep number bed about 10 years ago, a bed frame about 5 years ago, another bed for my mom just a year ago, all from this same location. At the end, Neal was great as he ran to my car to give me my actual full printed receipt. Time for a new manager at this location! Maybe promote Neal. If you are considering buying a Sleep Number bed let me offer you a word of caution. I've had mine for 4 years and it came with a 15 year warranty. Recently a part inside the mattress ripped and one side collapsed. Sleep Number charged me $150 for a technician to come out even though it was well within the warranty period. The tech said it couldn't be fixed and I needed a new mattress. Customer Service is now charging me $185 for the required replacement part and another $150 for the tech to come back and install it. Basically their warranty is worthless. I would not buy from them again and I urge you to think carefully before you do business with them. read more

They observe all covid protocol and even ask if we wanted them to take off their shoes which we advised them they were OK leaving their shoes on. They came earlier than expected and the process was very quick. Not sure if there were a 3rd party company they had sleep number uniforms on and came in sleep number truck. If you don't read anything else, remember this: do not purchase any adjustable base unless you know 100% for sure that you are going to keep this mattress. The ADJUSTABLE BASE IS NON-REFUNDABLE!!!!!!! My wife and I just moved into a new home and were looking for a king-size mattress. We managed to save enough for a new mattress as well and wanted to explore some options. We walked into sleep number and were greeted by Frank (who I might add was an exceptional guy). No problems overall with the sale process (a little long) but overall, we chose to go with the top of the line I10 with adjustable base. I was a bit wary of the large purchase (almost $10,000), but Frank repeatedly assured me that if we were unhappy for any reason, there would be 0 problems with processing a return and that we had a free 100 day trial and would be able to return for any reason, no questions asked. We received the bed a few days later and were looking forward to trying it out. My wife woke up the next day with an extremely bad headache and back ache despite using her verified sleep number from the store, but we decided to adjust it and try it again. Every day for the next 10 days, my wife woke up with huge headaches to the point where she was unable to even make it in to work. She spent last night on the sofa bed and woke up without a headache. I realized that the sleep number bed wasn't a great fit. We went back into the store today to inquire as to the return and were told we weren't doing this right or that right or needed to try a new bed with less padding or more padding etc. Suddenly I realized that man...I just purchased a product from a company that sells items like a used car dealership. I was told to contact Customer service to initiate the return which I did. I was told that the mattress was full refundable but that there were 2 return options. I could pay $29.99 and prep, pack, box and label the products and deliver it to a ups drop off location, or I could pay $179.99 and have them come and disassemble the bed for me. However, the adjustable base is NON-REFUNDABLE!! I said my sales person told me that everything was fully returnable and never mentioned any fees or that I would be stuck with the adjustable base if I wanted to return the base. She said, "Sir, each customer is required to sign a document stating that they understand that the base is non-refundable. I was not present to witness what the sales representative may have said or not said with regards to the return policy; however, I do have your signature that states that you understand the base is not returnable." Sounds like the company has had this issue in the past and has a nice script in place with their customer service reps. At any rate, I chose to eat the cost of the base and pay for the disassembly and pick up of the bed (total loss of about $4000) rather than have them bully me into keeping a bed that my wife cannot tolerate. Supposedly the base is able to be used with other conventional mattresses, so we are off to sit'n'sleep where I hope we will have a better experience. Hopefully the money spent on the base will not be a complete waste, but who knows for sure. I'm sure some people love their sleep number bed but a couple things to keep in mind. 1.) It is an air mattress. You can put whatever padding and such on top of it, but at the end of the day, it's an air mattress. 2.) If you're not sure if the sleep number bed is the right fit for you, don't buy the adjustable base right off the bat. Get one of the cheap bases that are fully refundable/exchangeable just in case you don't like your mattress. You'll only have to pay the return fee and won't be stuck with something you won't like then. If you decide that the sleep number bed is the greatest gift on earth, then exchange your base for an adjustable one at that point. My wife and I have always considered ourselves to be careful shoppers, but sleep number really bamboozled us on this one. I will definitely take the time to read the fine print on these things before signing in the future. *UPDATE* Received my new mattress from Sit 'n Sleep today. They disassembled my sleep number bed, and I was shocked to find what I paid for from sleep number. Take a look at the photo - literally an air mattress with some foam padding underneath the air mattress and some padding up top. We bought a sleep number bed about 5 years ago, with an adjustable base. We hated the bed and returned it. It's nothing but a bags of air, not evenly distributed, and making the sleep number lower just results in a hammock-like mattress. We were not allowed to return the base, so we are using it with another mattress, but both of the crappy sleep number remotes for it have given out. I tried twice ordering a new one from Sleep Number, and they failed both times to deliver it. (Remotes are back-ordered indefinitely.) Not only did they not deliver it, but they also failed to notify me of the back order status, or ever contact me whatsoever. I had to call and ask for my money back after weeks of silence. They charged me for two-day air delivery, by the way. If I cannot find a remote to power their custom AirFit 1 base, I will have to buy a whole new base. Stay away from any sleep number. I bought pillows online and they cannot be returned. I took their pillow quiz and bought the recommended pillows. Since the quality was very poor and not firm at all, I tried to exchange them. You can only do one-time exchange within 30 days but the shipping took 1 week. The store nearby is closed (due to covid) so I was not able to drive 15-20 miles for exchange. Now they wont let me exchange so I just wasted $200 and end up with the trash. My husband and I decided to splurge on a Sleep Number mattress because we are not getting any younger and figured it is better to take care of our backs sooner than later. We went during a Labor Day sale which offered free delivery ($199) and a discount depending what kind of bed you purchased. Our sales person, Vincent, was very nice and knowledgeable. It was also good to know that he sleeps on a Sleep Number himself at home. He also gave us alone time to really talk about the bed without feeling pressured or overwhelmed. The delivery took 2 weeks, which was fine because we had to prepare for it. We bought our own bed frame and my husband built an impressive king platform for about $300 (made of plywood). However, this is only an option if you prefer to build one rather than buy one. As like the other reviews have mentioned, the platforms/bases are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are at all doubtful about the bed, it's best to just place it straight on the floor for your 100 day in-home trial. These beds MUST HAVE a solid platform and if you don't have that, it's not going to work well. The delivery and set up went pretty smoothly. We had everything ready for the guys to do their thing. They were very polite, clean, informative, and wore booties to protect our white carpet. Also, it was pretty interesting watching them put the bed together. They were in and out within an hour, which included set up and taking away our old mattress and box spring. So happy we went for the king size. It fits our room perfectly and the bed is so ridiculously spacious. It's been almost a week since we received the bed, and it has been pretty damn amazing. Hoping this mattress lasts us for a long time. Lastly, if you are confused between choosing a Sleep Number or Tempur-Pedic, the thing that was the biggest factor for us was movability. Do not buy!! I purchased 2 K1 twin beds and a King. Customer Service is useless with support. Sales pitch is great! Customer Service and quality HORRIBLE! One of the pumps for my twin bed is defective and the quote to replace it is close to $300. I asked what the price was without warranty and was told $600 +!!! Wth is the warranty for then!? I've never actually really dealt with anybody else there but I bought my mattress from him a couple of years ago and a year later decided to buy the platform with the bed adjustments for legs and head and everything was always smooth. Jeremy took his time to explain every single detail to me I needed to know. I called him today cuz I noticed some tears in my air chamber covers and HE REMEBERED ME JUST BY MY 1ST NAME AND THE SOUND OF MY VOICE! EVEN REMEBERED MY CAR! We bought the split kingsize 360 smart bed this summer after having a sleep number bed for 15 years. We were satisfied customers until this latest purchase. The bed and mattress were wonderful the first month and then stopped working consistently after that. We don't know if the issue is with Comcast or the bed itself but their out of state customer service is horrible! We waited on a phone call for over 45 minutes just to speak to someone and so I signed up for a service call. The first time they just had a store manager call me instead of the tech dept. I bought a Sleep Number mattress for the first time and it is a full size mattress with dual Chambers meaning that my wife and I can adjust our own side individually. But what happens is you roll to the middle or roll to the softer side. Not good . No warning that this is a problem. I have slept on memory form mattresses and they are predictable. On a hot day the bed seems to fill on its own (heating the air and expanding) these mattresses are odd and you are readjusting daily. read more

I am not typically the person to complain or write reviews for stores or companies, but I feel like my experience is worth sharing in hopes that it will prevent the same thing from happening to someone else. To begin, I have retail, management, and customer service experience and I was appalled with the experience that I had with Sleep Number. Back in May, my boyfriend and I went to the Sleep Number store in Cerritos, CA to purchase a bed. We asked a ton of questions, because that is just how we are -- we are very careful with our money and justify every purchase/investment. The salesperson, Dave, was pretty pushy and kept us there for quite a while, but overall very friendly; however, we asked him some questions about returns/return policy and this is where the problem begins. He told us the beds are rarely returned (more about this to come) and didn't mention that there was a fee to return the bed. Well, we purchased the queen CSE model and the contract was folded up and provided after purchase. I was confident that since I asked the right questions, that there wouldn't be any surprises later (wow, was I wrong). After about 60 days, we were really unhappy with the bed that we purchased. It was uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on an air mattress, so I called to start the return process and they offered to send us a better foam topper free of charge to make us more comfortable. That didn't help either... so I call to initiate the return once again and was told that there are 3 different options to return (all at their own cost). I can spend another $180 to have them come pick it up, I can pay $29.99 plus tax per label per box (and box it myself...it takes numerous boxes), or a generic label where I am in charge of whatever shipping cost (I was advised that this would be incredibly expensive unless I have a shipping connection). I become furious, as I had asked about returns in store and wasn't provided the correct information. The returns rep then tells me that since I wasn't provided the correct information, they may be able to waive the return fee, but only if the store manager could verify. So, I call the store, speak to the manager and he agrees to put a note in my file so that returns/customer service can see it. I call the returns office back and a female supervisor starts to help me, so I begin to re-explain my story, but she continuously interrupted me and was incredibly rude. She told me it is my fault that I didn't read the contract correctly (the contract that is provided AFTER purchase is complete) and tells me there is nothing that they can do to help me. In my opinion, this is a huge ethical issue --- I felt that asking the employees the right questions would provide me with the information needed. I became very frustrated because of the inconsistent information that I was given and genuinely felt that the supervisor didn't care about the ethical issues at hand. At this point, I had used up my lunch break 4 days in a row trying to sort my issue out --- I did not want to make a scene, but I was so frustrated that I was losing my original $180 delivery fee (required) and now I was going to have to pay more to have it taken away--- essentially losing $300+ for a bed that we no longer own. I was able to get ahold of the original returns rep the next day and explain my new frustrations. He was able to help us out a little bit by covering the cost of 3 labels (so we still had to find the boxes, pack up the bed, and drop them off at UPS). Although, he did help us a lot, we were still incredibly unsatisfied with the policies and customer service. We still didn't receive all of our money back because of the fees, but overall, I am relieved to be done with this company. If you are contemplating purchasing a bed from Sleep Number, I will advise against it. There are many other incredible mattress companies with better customer service, policies, ethics, higher morale and ultimately, more deserving of your money. read more

Although on the expensive side of things it's well worth the money. I purchased a California King over 5 years ago and it's been super awesome comfortable. I've only had one issue with one side that leaked out but once I contacted customer service it arrived at my door faster than I expected. I walked into this sleep number store to see if I could purchase parts but alas I could not. All part sales are made through customer service. Even though I did not purchase anything I was greeted quickly and attended to in seconds. Customer service in the store is 6 stars if you ask me and everyone was really helpful with the information I needed(two women at the counter). It's funny, some retailers, heck businesses in general thank you for being a customer for a long time. My wife and I have owned a sleep number bed since 2001/2002 or somewhere close to that. I walked into the Cerritos store and after a while was greeted by a lady asking what I needed help with. A bed cover is what I indicated. I couldn't think of the word bed sheet. After going through all the possible items sleepnumber nowadays provides to put on top of their mattresses, from padding to air-cooled-layers, we found out that I just needed new bedsheets. I brought an old packaging label to make sure I would walk out with the right size. "Wow that's old" was the first reply, "let me check you in our system..." Jokingly I said, I think we had our bed from before computers, which prompted her not to even look me up in the system. My inability to explain fully what I needed made her laugh a few times and even the chap helping other customers behind the register overheard and had a 'laughing' expression as he looked at me. I'm just thinking all this time, hey I'm the customer, and have been for over a decade. But that aside, my wife and I are thinking about getting another bed from sleep number, however I felt uneasy in this store, and I came in for a little thing. How will you treat me when I purchase a big thing? Would you take the time to pretend it is okay for a customer not to know the exact word for a bed sheet or will you be as none-caring as today. When I walked out I knew that the chap behind the register would turn and watch us leave. So I open the door and turn around. Yup laughing with his customers and looking right in my face. Absolutely terrible experience so far! I can't even review the mattress because they won't get it to me. We purchased a new sleep number bed on November 29th and have just been rescheduled for the second time when my bed was supposed to be here in the morning. Now we are told our bed won't arrive until March 1st!! We paid $8500 for this bed. For this kind of money, our bed should have been in our home within a week! This isn't some discount store BS. When we were rescheduled the first time, we were told delivery is almost never rescheduled a second time but yet here we are within 24 hours of our promised second scheduled delivery. Just offering free sheets doesn't make this better. This is the absolute worst customer service and no excuse. Nobody should spend this much money and wait 4 months to receive the item. Who's to say it's really even going to arrive March 1st? I could have picked the bed up anywhere myself and done a better job. You should absolutely be ashamed of treating your customers this way! The only pleasant part of this has been Nicole at the Covington, LA store. It's definitely not her fault y'all can't get it together. We purchased a bed and had it installed the second week of March. Before purchasing we did a lot of research. We previously had a memory foam bed and it sucked, it was literally flattened to the point where you could feel the bars. Anyway, We decided to take advantage of the holiday sale they had going on. ( We purchased in February) it takes three weeks to have the bed delivered I suppose. My husband went so I entrusted him to make the final decisions. He came back with a California King split. Which means the top half of the bed is split into two separate beds. So If I wanted to have it lifted I can while he sleeps, Our feet can also be lifted up. Anyway, The total cost was about $8,000. The first few nights it took some adjusting, it takes a few weeks for your body to find a number and get comfy. I honestly love this bed, I was having ankle surgery in mid March, So it was so awesome to be able to keep my foot elevated. My hubby said the associate that helped him was very nice and was very sale orientated, Which I'm sure is normal since I'm assuming they work off commission. Tip: When you finance through the company directly they send you a credit card but really its just a loan, that you pay like any other loan. We had an offer that for the first two years its interest free. So two weeks ago we both sat down for bed and we heard a rip. We turn to the middle of the bed and close to the split of the mattress we saw the fitted sheet ripped. for two weeks it ripped more and more, my hubby didn't want to go back and ask for an exchange. So I did. I mean why not, the sheets themselves were a whopping 240 dollars. So I called and got the persons name down and went back this afternoon. We were assisted by the same associate that helped my husband. Very nice and cheerful and processed our exchange and we were on our way. So personally we didn't have any issues thus far besides the sheets, but that was taken care of. My only draw back is the fact that the fitted sheets aren't sold separately and are wayyyyyy over priced. read more

They are very good selling you a $10'000+ Bed, but if you need them, forget it. I like the bed, bud I have being sleeping on a deflated Mattress for over a week and can't get anybody to come out. Can't even talk to anybody on the Phone. I have being calling for 3 Days, Day and night, nothing. What good is the so called best bed, if you can't use it? My family has had sleep number beds for the last 25 years. My husband and I decided to replace our king that was 22 years old with a queen size. We bought the complete set up including a tufted headboard. After sleeping in the queen bed for a couple of days, we decided we wanted to go back to a king size. We did not use the headboard at all yet. So we ordered a new king and decided to give our son the new queen since his select comfort bed was old. He didn't need the tufted headboard (it is still in the box and never opened) So now we have spent over $6500.00 dollars on these 2 beds to replace the old ones. We called customer service and spoke to a manager to return the unopened tufted headboard and they would not take it back. They told me all sales were final on those items. So I canceled my order of the king bed and I'm returning the queen also. They lost over $6500.00 because they would not refund $600.00 for the headboard. They would not even consider it. This is an establishment I would not ever buy from. Please look elsewhere before purchasing from here. My husband and I went there sunday, cash in hand! there were Kids lying on the beds, no room for paying customers to actually to try them out. we walked around for at least 20 min. no help in sight. when we were leaving a lady was starting to make up a bed on a dirty mattress by the door, had enough and walked out. read more

UPDATE: we finally got the frame delivered which is most definitely NOT worth over $600. It's literally just 4 metal bars that can be easily put together, but they make it seem so complicated that they HAVE to send techs to do it for you. No headboard, no nothing. watched them assemble it. It took 10 minutes, and it was not hard whatsoever. The fact that these things aren't returnable is actually a joke. Especially when Ben didn't even discuss the different bases with us. I didn't even realize that there were until after we had it installed. Customer service finally reached back to us when we weren't at work and compensated us about $500 off of our payment plan. So at least were only paying about $200 for the frame. He sounded extremely annoyed with they way I explained how unhappy this company has made me, but at this point I didn't even care. We've now had the complete bed setup for about 3-4 weeks. Is it worth over $5000? Definitely not. The only pros are the fact that you can adjust the firmess & lightness of it whenever you want via air pressure. I set it to the firmest during the day so that we don't sink in when sitting on it. Some nights I want a little firmess and others I want to be laying on a cloud. Do I still wake up with back pain and kinks in my neck? Absoutley. I've tried every number setting and have woken up with one on each. No mattress can get rid of those. I also thought you could adjust by the number, but it goes by 5 I.e 50, 55, 60. It also claims to have cooling technology. I can definitely feel a difference, but it's not much. The app turns off privacy mode for you which is an incovience (you turn it on when you're not in bed to sleep) and could definitely be a lot better at tracking your sleep. Some nights it registers that I fall asleep at 5am. The apps recent update is definitely better than it was though. Still can make more improvements. All in all, if you're seriously considering sleep number, don't expect it to be an easy process, do thorough research and ask every question you can possibly think of. read more

My boyfriend and I just got off work so yeah we look kinda beat up because we work in customer service lol but damn is it so hard to get service here? I know we look don't look "presentable" but we're still customers. We been here for approximately around 30 minutes and only been approached a few times. Was asked how we were doing but that's all. No questions about what we're looking for, the price range we're aiming for and such? My view in customer service, the way I use it, I usually ask customers how they're doing, is theres anything I can help them with and such. It's saddens me that another customer had to help us on how to adjust the sleep number for the beds. Customers whocame after us even received service. Anyways, we decided on the cSE. My boyfriend wanted to puchase the bed today but I told him to come back some other time when I'm not feeling this disappointed on the service we just received. Hopefully, it'll be better on our next visit. UPDATE: The post above was months ago ^ I forgot to press the "post" button but anyways. We never came back. I told my bf that if a business "shows" that they don't want our money, why spend? Again, we know service. Here's one advice for the service I received on my first and will be last visit there; Never ever neglect customers. It doesn't matter how they look or whatevers. Looks can be deceiving. They're there for a reason. To spend money which can benefit both side of the parties. Awesome beds. Crappy service. I'm not saying all the reps are crappy. Just the ones that were working that day. Wish we received water too like the other customers but I guess my bf and I "weren't" good enough. Anyways, we ended getting a bed at Sears. Really comfortable and similar to the sleep number. This has been such a regrettable experience. I was so looking forward to purchasing a Sleep Number bed since I slept on one at a hotel I'd stayed at previously. For me, this was a pricy investment, but I know that I need a firm bed due to back pain that I experience. So I made a decision that the cost would be worth it. With a 25 year warranty, I felt I was making a smart overall purchase. I purchased the dual chamber mattress in 2017. The salesman was friendly and helpful as I asked many questions. One of our conversations was about purchasing the base with the mattress. It was an extra expense and the gentleman told me that it wouldn't be necessary as long as I had a decent box spring, which I did. Within a couple of days, I noticed that the right side chamber was significantly lower than the left side chamber at equal settings. I called sleep number customer service and they sent me a piece of foam to lay over the lower chamber. This only made the right side of the mattress now higher than the left side. I called sleep number again, which wasn't easy for me as I work full-time during the day. My work hours are the only hours that I am able to reach the store over the phone and the wait times to speak to a representative was usually 20/30 minutes. After several phone conversations, emails and online chats, I was given more unsuccessful remedy after remedy. At some point, I asked about the warranty and was told that at that point, there were no options for return, only exchange at a depreciated rate. I was given another remedy and told to call back if that didn't work. At this point, I was so tired of dealing with the frustration and going back and forth that I gave up, especially as a return was now out of the question. Two years later, the problem has progressed so that it became easy for me to determine that my right chamber has a slow leak. I decided that I might as well buy a replacement chamber at the discounted rate rather than have to buy a completely new mattress. Rather than get caught up on the phone again, I decided to use the online chat function. As not to have to retell/rewrite the whole history, my first question to Mariah was, "Are you able to review the history of my purchase?" I asked several time and she wouldn't respond to my question which meant that I had to explain the whole above matter. At some point she asked about whether I had purchased a base with the mattress. When I indicated that I didn't (which she already knew) this was her response... "Mariah at 13:23, Jun 4: The box spring caused damage to the bed. Which now voids the warranty Martin at 13:24, Jun 4: What? When I bought the mattress, I was told I could put it on a box spring. When I was in contact previously with your representatives, I was never told that using a box spring voids the warranty. Mariah at 13:25, Jun 4: I don't know who told you that you could put it on a box spring, but we have always recommended that our mattresses be put on a platform style base as box springs are not supportive and issues like this arise. It doesn't say in the notes that you even brought up a box spring so I'm not sure what was said. They did note however that you should've contacted us right away back in 2017" I asked to speak with a supervisor, she refused to allow that. I asked her to show me where in the warranty it states that using a box spring with the mattress voids the warranty, she wouldn't provide that. I also asked how she could determine that my box spring damaged the bed as, at this time, it has not been determined what the nature of the damage is. She then ended the chat conversation. Sleep number and their customer service has been a total disappointment for me. I'm not rich and I've never spent this amount of money on a bed. I never expected this kind of service or treatment.
