We stopped by Mattress Firm to look at mattresses. We met Larry and he was amazing! He showed us several models and described the pros and cons of each one showing great knowledge of the products. He was also quick to look for answers when he wasn't sure. He wasn't pushy or biased, in fact he was particularly patient as we visited the store three times before making a decision. He did not steer us toward buying the most expensive mattress. He was paying attention to what we were asking but also gave us space to try out the different options without pressure. The store itself wasn't crowed or seem full of clutter. They even provide water bottles! If you visit the store, definitely ask for Larry! read more

He called surrounding stores to get me the best price on a bed frame and as it turned out, his store beat all of the surrounding competition. It doesn't even deserve one star. In fact, I wish I could give it negative stars. I don't know why discount places think using skeevy sales techniques work. Also, discount places like these are usually not a discount at all! They hike up the prices and then have a "sale". They also like to go after uninformed shoppers to take advantage of them. They start off showing you a crappy mattress and then work your way up, making you think you need the most expensive mattress in the store. Well, that ain't gonna work on me cause I do my research and can't be fooled by such tactics. The sales rep thought he could get me to buy some overpriced mattress probably because I was an Asian female shopping alone. He tried to tell me that it was my "lucky" day because he just (seriously like 5 minutes before I walked in) got an email for a sale that only lasts til noon that day. He warned me that I should make my purchase now before the deal is off. Do I have the words "DUMB ASS FOOL" across my forehead??? I sorry I have to get this off of my chest. Barely a year and my mattress is sagging on one side. I'm extremely disappointed. I rotated just as I was instructed to do and now I get up with an aching back. To make matters worse I called customer service and for $24.95 they'll send out a kit for me to measure to see if I "qualify " for a new mattress. $40 for a guy from Sleepys to come out! After I get this done it's over with me and Sleepys or whatever they call themselves! read more

I spent two days looking for a good mattress and a reasonable price as it was my first purchase for my new house..so I was obviously on a budget. Aside from going to multiple stores I also went to different sleepy's locations as I realized they all differ in the price and in attitude!!! I met Czarr Freeman at the Avon location who was extremely knowledgeable; honest and throughly explained everything and once he did realize what I'm exactly looking for he gave me a price on the items without trying to include million other things in the sale like a car salesman!! After a full day between Ikea and Jordan's, I was too tired to continue shopping for bedroom furniture and bedding, but I did not want to spend another day doing it. We stopped into Sleepy's on our way home, just one last attempt to look for a memory foam mattress. I had shopped at Bernie and Phil's, Bob's and the like and so sleepy's was our final stop to find the right bed. I would just like to add that the furniture at Jordan's is very outdated, and does not fit my wife's and my personal style. Ikea is cheap and works in a pinch, also they serve food, so that's good. The bedding at Jordan's is very expensive and the "sleep techs" are just pushy sales guys. I think prison bedding is better than ikea's. The Temperpedic bed we wanted was there, in stock, and on sale! Sam - our knowledgeable salesmen, wasn't pushy, and let us take our time. My wife and I had tried all the others, and heard all the other pitches. Sam told us a lot of the same stuff we've heard from others, but encouraged us to try all of the memory foam beds before we made a decision. We ordered the bed, it was delivered in a few days - earlier in the day than we had expected, I might add. I was very pleased. Great job sleepy's! Great Job Sam! I would like to mention one more thing. We were shopping on a Thursday in mid-August. I would expected that anyone who wants to order a mattress on / or around September 1st should be prepared to wait and understand that almost 80% of apartments have leases that expire on August 31st in Boston. read more

PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE! Bought a mattress there and the mattress developed ripples, turned mattress, same thing, went to turn over? Guess they do not have padding on both side anymore?! Called manager and they said they do not guarantee ANY mattresses, called the manufacturer out on a number of occasions, they would not do anything to rectify the problem. They definitely took advantage of my problem!!!! I had a back problem at the time and needed it shipped the next day, paid for it, next time I will do research before my purchase! I've had the worst experience with this Mattress Firm, specifically with agent Jessica who was very friendly upon meeting/buying my mattress but was not truthful or helpful in getting my refund. I purchased a full sized Tulo Medium mattress which I still believe is a great mattress but it was too small so I went back to Jessica for an exchange. Upon buying the full, she had promised me to come back to her if I wanted an exchange and she would waive the $100 delivery charge. However, when I called weeks later to take her up on her offer, she claimed she knew nothing about this and that it would be impossible to do that. I actually wanted to buy the exact same bed but in a Queen size yet she gave me 0 incentives to make an exchange and I ended up making a return (buying the queen size at another location shortly after). I've waited more than the 10 days for my money back and I've only received 1/4 of what I'm owed because apparently they weren't sure the other $400 was a return and not a mistake (?) So now I have to wait another week past when I should have my money. Also, Jessica told me the refund would go back on my credit card so I thought I would have a credit of $600 but turns out I'm getting the $400 as a check in the mail which is not what I was told! I'm so frustrated with my experience at this location and the lack of responsibility and accuracy for my hard-earned money. I would not recommend going here! Sidebar: the agent Fabio at the Braintree location is very helpful!! He took his time explaining all of the deals and how you can get the most bang for your buck. We just got a king size mattress and base from Chris Benoit at this Sleepy's branch who sold it to us without being pushy or salesy. He was very knowledgeable and was able to guide me to the most appropriate mattress that met all my needs. I shopped around 3 other furniture/mattress places and had to come back to Chris to close the deal. He is an asset to the team at this location. It's always refreshing to meet a sales person who isn't trying to make a quick sale and gives us the freedom to make an informed decision. Would never come to this Sleepy's again. Ran into a very rude, pushy salesman. Prices were a little steep but we wanted to keep Sleepy's in consideration. Salesman was busy with another couple when we were leaving. Once outside, the salesman ran out and attempted another sales pitch to have us come back in. Politely declined without telling him we may be back. He says "fine, go spend more money somewhere else then" as he walks away. Very rude and unprofessional. Ended up buying somewhere else with a much better experience. When we have to buy another mattress, will definitely not be going to Sleepy's. read more

Just went to purchase a mattress with my husband and the sales rep never once discussed or explained verbally or in paper that our total amount would double. I asked how much would the monthly payments be, he couldnt answer that. He only said ill get an email with the amount. The invoice i signed was for the correct fair amount and the email showed my total doubled with ridiculous monthly payments. we're giving them a high rating for overall satisfaction. we dealt with chris and alex in the Avon store. both were pleasant and professional - listed to needs and made suggestions. we chose one mattress. after close to 30 days it was sagging and there were obvious problems brewing. we were able to talk to Chris and Alex and they took care of the exchange and helped us get squared away with a new bed.
