"Porter" line comes in any color you want, as long as that color is dark brown (inspired from a quote by Henry Ford). I like dark brown for my furniture color and it's a very well made and an excellent value. This store carries an abundance of floor samples and everyone else there is quite professional as well. Save your money and buy a cheap cover online for the dining room table leaf that you'll keep in your attic when not in use. After all, you'll be the only person seeing it.

This is a second review/complaint regarding our purchase at Ashley Furniture at the Ledgewood NJ…read morestore, where we purchased some expensive defective barstools for our kitchen. Now one of the replacement barstool is making a noise when you lean back on the chair!! Upon my inspection and troubleshooting as to why this was happening, I noticed it happened mostly when you leaned back in the chair. I then discovered the annoying noise was coming from the metal frame attached to the backrest and seat of the chair by 5 screws. I proceeded to check the screws on the bottom where the frame of the barstool is attached and a few were loose and not snug. I tightened them up and the cracking noise stopped when I leaned back or swiveled in the barstool but the fix was short lived and the noise would continue again and the same few screws would loosen up even though I really made them tight. It's obvious the problem is in the frame and the way it was forged on that particular barstool. The other barstools that were replaced don't or never did this. I called the company once again , the girl was rude and was no help except to tell me they'd have to schedule a service tech to come out here and inspect the defective lousy but expensive barstool making this annoying noise when swiveling or leaning back. I'm gonna file a major complaint against Ashley furniture for the new problem and ongoing issues I had with these barstools. All I can say is DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY , their products are defective, SUCK, & are not designed or built well. The manager Jerry there also a typical salesman also just wants your money and when we had our first issue he failed to respond to us, himself. We have a NEW problem with one of replacement bar stools they delivered and customers service told us we have to go to a process of having a service tech come out to see why the freakin' lousy barstool is now making a horrible cracking noise when you lean back in the chair. I'm gonna trash this company all over social media and also report them to consumer affairs and other consumer protection agencies. They can't sell garbage nor treat their customers like they do when we have legit issues and problems with their lousy furniture products!

My first couch was damaged so I sent it back. I had to wait several weeks to get the second one. My second couch was defective. The wood for both arms of the couch was sticking out and my son got hurt on it. They had to send a tech to fix it, which took a few weeks. Also, my headboard was a different color than the rest of my bed. That went back and the second one is better, but still isn't right. It's off-white and the bed is white. The rest of the furniture and my rug is nice. Some delivery people are good and some bad. The first one gave me a really hard time. He pretended not to see the headboard color problem, and tried to minimize the couch damage. He didn't want to take back the furniture. He didn't install the doors correctly on my TV stand (which the service technician came and repaired). He also didn't clean up his mess and left packing material all over the furniture and the floor. So much for white glove service. The second delivery team was great. Based upon my experience, I will think twice before buying Ashley furniture again.

The past few purchases at the Ledgewood NJ store not so good. As much as I liked the so-called selling manager salesperson that helped us, we feel that her not disclosing to us the special deal going on with the particular dinning room set we bought , as well as, the 30% off Labor Day sale we were losing out on had I not saw the Hot deal & Sale on this exact same dinning room set we wound up purchasing the same day we went there, I might add, but we would've been overpaying for it by almost $600. After confronting the saleswomen that sold us the set , she did match the online price when I told her I found the sale online but "AFTER" we got home and paid more than we should of. So after some back & forth text to her and screenshots of the sale , again, she adjusted the invoice and matched the sale price on the dinning room but she cleverly added the full price of the protection plan back that she previously gave us for half off on after adjusting & revising the invoice to reflect the online sale price. I thought that was trickery and unfair. So we lost the $200 she originally gave us off the $400 price of the 5-year protection plan. She claimed she could not give us the Labor Day or Hot Deal discount and ALSO the $200 off the she originally agreed to give us the day we bought the set, which was only this past Sunday. So if I let the order go through , I lose the additional $150 -$50 she gave us off the PP. I probably won't shop there again, and even more importantly , I'm not happy about how that operate as far as transparency and telling potential buyers about deals and sales going on UNLESS we find it and mention it to them!! That's crazy, and something she already knew and should of disclosed to us "up front" on the day we were there!! Disappointed with how they do conduct business. Ps.. This supposed store MANAGER Jean responded but did nothing to compensate us the extra $200 we were initially given off the furniture protection plan by the salesgirl who never disclosed the Labor Day sales & offers.
