First off, I never go out of my way to write an online review but this time, given the above-and-beyond customer service I received recently I feel compelled to do so. My experience started with an online order to get a new mattress. I did so with ease and was ready to pick up my new mattress! So I went to pick up the mattress I ordered from the warehouse out in the valley. I walk into the front office with 15 minutes left until they close. (I know, I don't like being that person that walks in right before close but that's what my schedule allowed for that day). Anyways, I am greeted by a gentleman hunched over in an office chair in front of a computer screen in the back corner with his head leaning on his hand, looking like he is very ready to be off the clock. After muttering, "how can I help you" I say that I am there to pick up my mattress. He asks for an order number and after I say the number, he types it into the computer, turns his head, and blankly replies to me, "yeah we don't have that in stock". I said, oh. I just confirmed with the store that it was here, in stock,superiors and ready to be picked up. He adjusted his tone to an angry, impatient, louder tone suggesting that I go yell at the person that sold me the mattress and demand to know the F, (Yes even went to the level of spouting off profanities) my mattress isn't available. With a smile, I replied, ok no problem. And calmly walked out the door, went to the car, and called the store. This is where the experience turns around. I spoke to a gentleman named Evander at the store who was so sorry to hear about my experience at the valley warehouse location. I didn't have anything to say that would belittle or stander the other location, just a quick summary of my experience. He informed me they would take care of it for me and make sure I didn't go without a mattress. He called me back a couple of minutes later after talking to his superior and informed me that they were going to upgrade my mattress for my troubles and that it was ready to be picked up. I hurried over to pick up my new mattress and was in and out of the store with a quick signature and a smile. THAT is customer service. I think the valley location could take a page or two from this store's book. Thank you again for the awesome customer service Evander at Mattress Firm. The mattress is great. Where. to begin. On August 6th we went looking for a new mattress. We went to Mattress Firm on Division because we bought a mattress from them before and were very happy with the service, everything went very smooth so why not go to them again. The sales person was very nice but really wanted to sale and never listened to what we were telling him. We wanted a mattress but we also wanted the item that would allow my husband to raise his head and feet. We also explained that we had a bed the had drawers under it and we wanted to keep those. We also told him our bed was very high and we didn't want it any higher at 93 and 80 we didn't want to use a latter. He said they could make it all work. When they came to delivery the items the two guys delivering it spoke very little English so communicating was difficult. He said they couldn't make it work with our bed they weren't allowed to take anything apart and if they put it on top of the platform the bed would be up about our waist. So I told them to return the items don't even take it off the truck. Then I called Mattress Firm and the manager wasn't in so I had to wait until Tuesday to talk to him. I told him the problem and ask him to just credit our account. He then offered to give us $300.00 to have a carpenter come in and work on our bed. I told him no and again ask him to refund our money. He said it would take 3 to 10 working days to refund our money. We waited the 10 days and call him back he said he did the refund and the holiday slow it down so we waited again. Finally I call and he said he would send us paper work showing he did the refund but the paperwork he sent said they would refund the account not that he DID refund it. We waited few more days and I called agin and the manager said he would check with his people and call me back. He did call me back and said for some reason they put it on hold but they would do the refund. We waited another three days before we finally got the refund. BV read more

I purchased a bottom line mattress unsure of what to get my toddler. After two busy months I was still able to return the mattress and get an upgrade. These guys gave me a great deal on the first mattress and an even better deal on the upgrade. These guys are super nice, I am so glad I came to mattress firm and not another retailer. I'm also super impressed with the mattress I ended up with second time, super comfortable and just what we needed. read more

A lying sales consultant told me he would give me a friend and family discount if I payed him only in cash. Being a sales consultant I knew it was very sketchy. Anyway I was looking at a mattress priced at $1000 but he said he could give me half off and have it for me $600 out the door in cash. I left did some research to to find that the mattress was priced at $500 actually and with tax $551 so it seemed as if he was going to pocket $50 for himself. I can't believe at a place like this he is allowed to work there he kept talking to me on the low when no consultants were around saying I have to pay cash. In addition, he let me see only one bed and didn't show me anything else. Don't suggest going here if you want quality customer service. read more

We just bought a king size/split twin from Andrew at the store on North Division and Queen. We could not be more thrilled with the results. The head and foot go up and down, it's a memory foam and I have had the best night sleep ever. More importantly than that is the customer service we received. Andrew was outstanding in answering questions, helping us make a decision and, tolerating my going from bed to bed. Great service and great product. I highly recommend seeing Andrew if you're interested in a new mattress or bed. read more

My husband and I bought a king size mattress set from this company. Months later we had issues with our bed..we called the company and all they did was give us the run around for months. So our issue was resolved. We got a new mattress which is great, but still wouldn't recommend Mattress Firm. Had to really work to get it resolved. I never got call backs I was promised, they never acknowledged their lie, never apologized, and made it seem like they were doing me a big favor by making it right. We had to go to valley to pick up our items.. That was not the problem. Mr Sheets sold us items that were not available until the 10th. The warehouse called him and he tired to tell us another store had them in stock. We had the warehouse call since we were hauling a trailer to pick up all the items purchased. They did not have the items either. The warehouse manager asked him to simply do a return and credit the money back.. Receipt was received in the mail however no credit has been issued. I guess a follow up visit to the store will be required. Mattress firm as excellent deals but I feel like Mr Sheets is nothing more than a snakey car (mattress) salesman. read more

I worked with the district manager Joe on Labor Day. He's a fast talker and makes you feel good. He worked with me well. However, the box spring didn't fit up my stairs. When I called for split box spring, I was ensured it would arrive two days latter. Guess what, it didn't arrive and I was sorely disappointed. When I called the store JARED, helped me and told me it was a computer glitch and won't receive what I ordered for another week. He then went on to "Welcome me" for not charging me extra delivery fees. I'm sorry, but it's not my fault your computer system sucks. He was demeaning and arrogant. Literally the worst customer service I have ever received. Don't work with JARED if you find yourself in this store. JARED is terrible at what he does and was worthless in apologizing for his mistake and working to make the customer happy. JARED SUCKS! read more

Moved here from CA where Mattress Firm is HUGE. Needed a new bed, wife and I decided to have a look on a whim. Walked in with ZERO idea of what we wanted, no brands in mind, no budget, only thing we knew was we would need to spread payments out and was greeted by Chuck. He asked us easy to answer questions about sleeping habits and guided us through their "shop by color" system. Very easy to eliminate over half the store and narrow down to what you really need. Able to guide us through the store to find the right mattress quickly and effectively. Will be coming back for next mattress purchase 100%. Would recommend 100%. read more
