I stopped by Dania recently to scope out their couches, ottomans, outdoor furniture, etc. After this long winter I am sick of looking at my furniture! After browsing through I have to say that this is an underrated store in Spokane. Great prices on very cool pieces! People- do not- I repeat do-not drive all the way to Seattle for Ikea nonsense. Dania will get you the modern stuff, you won't have to put it together, and its really affordable (and you can avoid the stress of cramming things into your car for the drive home). The only thing is Dania doesn't have meatballs...so there is a drawback. For apartment dwellers or smaller home folks they have the modern, smaller scale pieces but also huge sectionals for your epic lake cabin people. I have to think this furniture would also work in traditional homes as well. read more

I have probably spent tens of thousands of dollars at the Spokane Dania store for my offices for my homes. Just last week they were to deliver a couch, a chair and a desk for me in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. That was Wednesday. We're now on Friday and they still don't know when they can get the desk to me. It didn't make it on the truck. They literally say it could be a week or more.. read more

Great selection. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It's a family business who know how to do business right. The delivery guys were also very kind and took extra care moving things inside the apartment to be sure they didn't damage the new items and the items already in the apartment. Prices were very reasonable and they were able to deliver the couch on hand the next day and the chair on order when it arrives for one fee as well as taking the old couch away. After a recent move, we purchased all our new furniture from Dania, and I'm incredibly glad we did. The showroom is absolutely beautiful, and my partner and I were easily able to select the pieces we wanted. We bought a bedroom set, desk and bookshelf, and a coffee table and sideboard for the living room. All the furniture was delivered to us and assembled by their amazing delivery team, who were wonderfully professional during both deliveries. We had the best experience at Dania. Devin was the most attentive sales representative without being pushy. My husband and I perused Dania for living room furniture. Devin let us look by ourselves but checked with us on each floor to answer questions and direct us to different chairs and sofas. When we go to Spokane we always stop in at the beautiful Dania store. They sell different kinds of Scandinavian and contemporary furniture.There are four floors ( yes there is an elevator) beautifully curated with everything from office, living room furniture to bed frames, mattresses and some interior decor. We love this old brick building with the cool fresh interior. This has to be the best place in downtown Spokane to visit for your home needs.. The staff here is very helpful. Dania has beautiful furniture, a beautiful store and excellent, caring delivery contractors. However, their customer service, knowledge of stock availability, and warehouse furniture handling leaves much to be desired. Approximately a month ago we purchased a bedroom set based on website photos and store display. Purchase was uneventful. We found out that the furniture had arrived and was ready for delivery from the delivery contractor, not store sales personnel. The furniture was delivered but it was a mismatched set. Apparently, the furniture style had changed while keeping the same name. Not sure about SKU numbers. The manufacturer had discontinued the dresser and high chest style and replaced it with something similar. The bed and nightstands remained the same. Dania never got the memo maybe. So we arranged to return the pieces that had the new style with the original matching pieces. We went back to the store to discuss our options. They called the warehouse and were told they had a dresser and high chest in the original style. But the store staff store was not sure it would be sent to them. So as a backup we were told the floor display pieces would be tagged for us. With a possible discount. The delivery people called us to let us know only the new high chest had come in. Once again the store staff were not the ones who notified us. So we headed back to verify what we were actually getting and if we would get a discount for the floor model. They didn't remember us. And they had no clue the one item had come in. We went upstairs to pick out the best dresser. Now remember this was supposed to have been tagged for us about 10 days earlier. Surprise -no tag. One display model was in good condition. The frame on the second was bent and extremely unstable. Why was it even in the floor? Moving forward to delivery day. The movers brought in the dresser. It was good. Then they called us outside to look at the high chest. The back leg was bent and the wood inside the damaged. The bottom drawer would not close. The movers had noticed the shipping box was damaged. They said the warehouse had told them they had checked the piece for damage. I don't think so. It was obvious the box was damaged. So we had the movers take back the damaged chest and its matching dresser. We kept what had been delivered in error in the first place. It is obvious there are problems at Dania. Communication is poor Not only with customers, but within the organization. We got more information from the delivery contractors than from store personnel. Warehouse staff should be checking orders for accuracy and items for damage. Sales people need to keep current with latest developments from their furniture suppliers. And keep in touch with your customers. And if you say you are going to do something, do it. We're done with Dania. read more

If you're looking for a great furniture store with high end items and great customer service visit Bide & Burgeon, The Tin Roof, Pottery Barn, West Elm, CB2, basically any other store except for Dania Furniture. I feel like I couldn't even make up how horrible this experience has been and how they've treated me throughout this. December 2021: Ordered a modular four piece couch December 2021 in store with Nichole, the manager. The reason why I ordered this couch in particular was because it was in the US so the delivery time on it would be 4 months, not 6 if its international. April 2022: Once April arrived without the couch I called the store to check on the order. They said there was no update but that it hadn't been shipped out yet. May 2022: Finally, on Saturday, May 28th, the truck pulled up to unload my custom couch I had now waited 6 months for. They unloaded the first piece and instantly I got that feeling you get when you think "no, not another thing wrong." I ordered an oyster white custom 4 piece couch only to receive 2 of the 4 pieces in a gross green color straight out of the 70s. The drivers apologized saying they would make it right and I asked them to have the store call me. Jody from the store called me while the drivers were unloading the rest of the pieces. She said she was so sorry and that they would fix it. She said I could do whatever I want with the green mess up pieces but unfortunately I'd have to wait for them to reorder the two white pieces I'd need to complete the set. Her words were, "trash, burn, or sell them." Which was to be expected. August 2022: I called to check in on the couch and get an estimated delivery. I spoke with Nichole the manager and she apologized for the error again saying she felt so bad so she'd be giving me 10% off and "free delivery" on the two remaining white pieces... so the ones they messed up on that they shouldn't be charging me for anyways. Multiple people figured they would be giving me the two white pieces that they forgot to order correctly to me for free. So when I talked to Nichole I assumed it would be a discount to reflect the error that had been made. She admitted she messed up and completely ordered the wrong color and never checked up on it. September 2022: Saturday, September 3rd, I get a call from the delivery drivers saying they are on their way to drop off the two white pieces and EXCHANGE them for the two green pieces. Last I had been told by Jody was I could trash, burn, or sell them. So closer to the arrival of the two white corrected pieces I got rid of the messed up green pieces to make room for my finally completed couch. The warehouse manager who was also one of the delivery drivers called me and said he spoke with Nichole and it's supposed to be an exchange, but again, I don't have the pieces because I was told otherwise by Jody. He said that Jody wouldn't do that because then he would have to discipline her. He was yelling at me on the phone and he was on speaker phone with my friend sitting right by me. We were shocked at how he was treating me and accusing me that I was lying about what Jody said. He said he wouldn't be delivering my corrected two white pieces since I didn't have the inventory for him to exchange it with. At this point I told him I just want a refund for the couch, to come pick up the other two white pieces, and be done with this. He said he was calling Nichole and hung up. The other delivery driver, called back and said Nichole would call on Monday. It's now Friday, September 9th and I haven't heard a word from any of them. They have my two corrected white pieces just sitting in there warehouse rather than giving to me after I've PAID FOR THE PRODUCT, nor will they refund me. The way they've handled this whole situation has been alarming and unacceptable. They made me feel less than human in how they talked and treated me. I shouldn't feel this crazy about a couch I was so excited to receive. This has been an absolute nightmare that I hope no one else ever has to experience. read more

I love my Scandinavian recliner ! i have wanted this recliner for a very long time. i looked long and hard before finally making my purchase The staff at the Spokane store were wonderful ! i was able to take my time and sit in every chair to see if it was the right fit. The staff Was friendly, helpful but did not hover over me. I was given frequent updates of delivery time. In fact, I received a call the chair could be delivered earlier than expected. the deliver guys were professional and friendly They even placed pads on the bottom of the chair to prevent it from scraping my floor. Over the past several days my wife and I have dropped by nearly all of the furniture stores in town. Dania was one of our favorites. The selection is excellent and there seemed to be a noticeable upgrade in the quality of their products compared to most others. The prices are also competitive with the other stores as well. The store staff was excellent as they answered all of our questions yet let us be to walk around without hassling us. We walked out knowing that we will be back at some point. If you are checking out the stores between Division and Ruby I would highly recommend driving downtown and giving this store a look. read more

We needed to work remotely to get our home in Coeur d'Alene furnished and they always picked up the phone when we called. I ham not been in this store in 17 years, and I was wowed. I went to a few of the local chain stores Mor, Furniture Row, Walkers, and my middle aged self realized that shopping in chain stores is for furniture is the equivalent of buying jewelry in a Zales, Ben Bridge, or Fred Meyer. Dania Spokane is a nice store to shop, and we have spent thousands there over several years. However, over the last year their customer service has deteriorated to where it is no longer pleasant to shop there. Devin is the worst. He is rude and dismissive, looking only for a large sale/commission. He delivered the wrong item to us and now after almost a month waiting can only say we'll it's here; where's my furniture? What a cool store! Dania is one of the few furniture stores in Spokane that actually carry their product in the showroom so you can test it out and see it in person before buying. This store is MASSIVE with a very large and diverse selection of products. From more affordable design products to higher end Scandinavian designed pieces or pieces even made in the USA - Dania has it all. Take some time because there is a lot to see in over 4 floors of showroom space. Finally in retirement we decided to get what we we had wanted for so long. chose about 12000. dollars in this fine modern Scandinavian furniture. nothing on sale, paid retail. waited along time for its arrival, paid about half down I think. New store manager tried to get the balance of the money because our stuff would be here shortly. That was just a lie to collect money for nothing. he tried again and finally called with good news except it wasn't. Delivered damaged goods and not the ones promised. Said he would replace damaged goods in one week. A month later he sent out obviously the wrong furniture. He finally wore me out. today I was moving around my Scandinavian fine furniture only to discover its made in China. I'm embarrassed in front of my family and friends. You took advantage of me, lied to me, and finally blew me off. You played me on top of it all, I've been treated like a chump. I really want my money back, pick up the furniture. Take it back. With todays final straw I intend to get the dates, names, dollars spent, lies told and give it to the BBB. read more

We purchased a bedroom set from Erin Gordon at the Lynnwood store for our daughter who's attending Gonzaga in Spokane. She was absolutely the best salesperson we ever dealt with she even arranged for us to pickup the furniture at the Spokane store so we didn't have to rent a truck to drive it and all of our daughter stuff over to school. But that's just the beginning. When we got there the Dan warehouse manager really took care of us helping us load our vehicle (and we had to make multiple trips) and make sure we had everything we needed.
