They have very high end, good quality, nice fabric mattresses that is very over priced. They have recliner chairs, home and office products to help and improve sleep and just give you a pain free indulgence. Rich showed me few things that were NOT on sale and let me lay and sit on them. He brought out few items for me to try. 1st item was:Saco Ease (for car), 2nd was a Tempur-Pedic Luxe adapt Firm mattress for my bed. Last, but not least, he showed me ergonomic Curve Cushions Lumbar for my back/neck support. Everything was very nice and comfortable. When it came to discuss their payment options, that's when I told him, sorry but the things that you offer is very comfortable but WAY out of my BUDGET!! I had high hopes for Sleep Number, but my experience was incredibly disappointing…read more I spent nearly $4,000 between the mattress, pillows, shipping, and related fees on what I believed would be a premium sleep setup. Unfortunately, the mattress that arrived felt nothing like the one I tested in the showroom. The in-store model felt supportive and high quality. What was delivered to my home felt more like a glorified air mattress. The pillow buying experience wasn't much better. I had to make multiple trips back to the store and exchange pillows several times before finding one that was even remotely acceptable. After three trips back and forth, I finally settled on a pillow that I still don't particularly like. For a company that markets itself as a sleep expert, I expected much better products. The entire trial period was filled with anxiety because I couldn't wait for the return window to open. I kept trying to convince myself I would adjust to it, but every night I was reminded that it simply wasn't comfortable. My fiancé would move a leg and I would feel my shoulders start to move from the motion transfer. The biggest shock came when I actually lifted the mattress and realized that most of what I had paid for was essentially an air chamber system. It was difficult to understand how a mattress at this price point could feel like it was made up largely of air. The fees made the experience even worse. I paid over $500 in delivery and related charges, which is far more than what many competing mattress companies charge. Most competitors offer low-cost delivery and free returns or pickups if you're unhappy. Sleep Number charged me a substantial amount to deliver the mattress and then another $250 to return it. Paying some of the highest delivery and return fees in the industry for what is arguably one of the lightest mattresses on the market is hard to justify. What really frustrated me was watching the pickup crew remove the mattress. They literally dragged it across my apartment floors and down the outdoor entrance onto a dirty sidewalk. Seeing how casually it was handled made it obvious that the mattress wasn't being carefully returned to inventory or even donated. It looked like it was headed straight for disposal. Knowing that, it's even harder to understand why customers are charged such excessive delivery and return fees. To me it seems like it could a way to fully cover their costs for the horrible mattresses even when customers are not satisfied. For a company that markets itself as a premium sleep brand, I expected a premium product. Instead, I received a mattress that felt nothing like the showroom model, spent weeks counting down the days until I could return it, had to repeatedly exchange pillows to find one I could tolerate, and ended up paying $500+ in fees for the privilege of returning everything. Between the massive fees, the difference between the showroom mattress and the delivered product, the pillow hassle, and the realization that much of the mattress is essentially an air system, the entire process felt more like a costly lesson than a premium purchase. This was one of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering Sleep Number to carefully review the product construction, fees, and return policy before spending their money. My response to Chris V: Thank you for your response, but my concerns are not limited to the return fees or customer service. A major part of my disappointment is the mattress itself! I had horrible anxiety each night of the trial because every move I made was affecting my partner's sleep and vice versa. I haven't slept on an air mattress since i was a teenager and after night two or three i woke up and realized thats exactly what this was. In addition mattress I tried in the showroom felt nothing like the mattress that was delivered to my home. After spending nearly $4,000 on the mattress, pillows, delivery, and related fees, I expected a premium sleep experience. Instead, the mattress felt more like an inexpensive air mattress. To be clear, I do not expect to try a mattress for 30 days completely free of charge. I understand there are costs associated with delivery and returns. However, I find it ridiculous that I had to spend over $500 in delivery fees for a cal king mattress i can lift with one arm, that gave me a month of awful sleep and failed to live up to what was REPRESENTED IN THE STORE. My review reflects both the poor value of the mattress itself and the excessive fees associated with purchasing it. I would encourage prospective customers to compare Sleep Number with other mattress brands before making a purchase decision. I advise you, Chris, to have the team at the store along with upper management come up with a solution and reach out to me, as over the phone customer service could not provide any solution and were actually quite rude and talking over me.

I found my way to their website to do a little further research and then texted my son asking if I could have a Sleep Number bed for my Christmas gift. That's sort of how gifts from him go. I never know what I want and often weeks and months pass and then I come up with something and he gets it for me. It's never anything as practical as a bed, it's typically boots, a handbag, jewelry... so I'm sure he was shocked at such an ask. He laughed at me and said Sure! He wanted me to go check them out in person before I got one to ensure I liked it. Luckily for me they have a location in Studio City on my regular neighborhood walk route. I kept forgetting to go in and eventually found myself through their door last Saturday. I was greeted by Damien who start to finish helped answer all of my questions. The entire experience was a breeze and I told him I'd think about it and get back to him. My son purchased the smart bed, base and frame which will be delivered ten days from now. This also includes the removal of my current mattress and box spring. If I'm lucky I can get them to drag my old frame downstairs too. I'm most excited about the sleep data, since I'm a big nerd and geek out on stuff like that. As a very active individual I am very much looking forward to some quality rest and rejuvenation in the new bed. I'm so thankful for my sons purchase and Damien's assistance, it's a serious upgrade from the HoMedics white noise machine I ordered months back to try and get some sleep. I'll update my review after delivery but so far so good. I've downloaded the app and I'm all set. Maybe I'll order a new set of bedsheets and investigate pillows next.

Their "Beat Anyone's Advertised Price" Guarantee Is Full of Loopholes…read more I contacted Sit 'n Sleep about purchasing a queen-size Nectar Premier Hybrid mattress. Sit 'n Sleep repeatedly advertises that they will beat anyone's advertised price or your mattress is free. That sounds like a straightforward promise, and it was one of the main reasons I gave them the opportunity to earn my business. I presented two substantially lower advertised prices for the same mattress. Best Buy Furniture listed the queen Nectar Premier Hybrid for $929, with an additional 5% discount using code BESTBUY5, bringing the price down to approximately $882.55 before tax. Best Buy Furniture also identifies itself as an authorized Nectar retailer. I then found an even lower advertisement from Mattress Store San Diego for a queen Nectar Premier Hybrid at $788. The listing identified the mattress by name, size and hybrid construction and stated that it was available for local San Diego delivery. As soon as the Sit 'n Sleep representative heard the $788 price, they quickly refused to match it. I was told that the competitor was outside their "approved dealer" list. There seemed to be no serious attempt to verify whether the mattress was new, in stock or otherwise identical. The advertised price was apparently disqualified simply because Sit 'n Sleep did not consider the retailer an approved competitor. That is a major restriction that isn't emphasized nearly as prominently as the company's bold promise. "We'll beat anyone's advertised price" apparently doesn't mean anyone it means only the selected retailers, locations and advertisements that Sit 'n Sleep chooses to recognize. If the company can exclude a competitor whenever the price is too difficult to beat, the guarantee offers customers very little meaningful protection. I understand reasonable requirements, such as confirming the same model, size, condition and availability. However, if the guarantee only applies to certain authorized competitors, geographic areas, warranty arrangements or other undisclosed conditions, Sit 'n Sleep should state those restrictions just as clearly and prominently as "beat anyone's advertised price or your mattress is free." I was ready to purchase this mattress from Sit 'n Sleep if they honored the promise used to advertise their business. Instead, the experience made the guarantee feel like a marketing slogan filled with convenient loopholes. Customers should ask for every condition in writing before believing or relying on this advertisement. I left disappointed and with considerably less trust in the company.

Last, but not least, he showed me ergonomic Curve Cushions Lumbar for my back/neck support. Everything was very nice and comfortable. When it came to discuss their payment options, that's when I told him, sorry but the things that you offer is very comfortable but WAY out of my BUDGET!! He didn't take it personally and wished me luck. Parking is shared with 100 businesses and the store was very clean, nicely organized according to their items that they had in store.. He had the good fortune to speak with the Studio City Store Manager, Ron Erb, who went above and beyond with his customer service. Ron had the spare part and volunteered to bring it to our home in Oxnard and repair the chair. We offered payment for his services and he politely declined. This type of personal service is almost unheard of today. Thank you Ron and please don't hesitate to visit Relax the Back!

Some have been good, most have been just okay, and a few have been downright bad. But let me tell you--I've never experienced anything like Custom Comfort Mattress. I met the owner, Gary Schiller, at a seminar last year and told him about my ongoing struggle to find a mattress that was actually firm enough for me. I've literally slept on board-like mattresses in the past. I asked if I could come in and see what made his store different. I went to the West Hollywood location, and honestly, it blew me away. Gary has an entire section of cut-open mattresses--his and competitors'--so you can actually see what's inside. And what I saw was... pretty shocking. Many of the so-called "high-end" mattresses (the ones costing $5,000+) were filled with cheap foam and glue. A lot of them won't last more than a couple of years before sagging. And don't even get me started on the "bed-in-a-box" models--mostly foam, no real support, and almost all one-sided, so you can't flip them. We spent about 45 minutes going through everything. I asked a lot of questions, and Gary was incredibly knowledgeable and transparent. His mattresses are the real deal--steel coils, cotton, no junk foam, no toxic glues. The toppers are made from organic cotton and natural rubber sourced from actual trees. You can feel the difference immediately. I ended up returning my previous mattress and getting the firmest model they offer with a #4 topper--and it's hands down the best bed I've ever owned. The best part? Their mattresses are flippable. That alone is almost unheard of in this industry anymore. When it eventually wears down, I can just flip it and extend its life. That's huge. I know this might sound like a commercial, but the truth is I haven't felt comfortable referring my patients to a mattress store in years. That changes now--I'll be sending people here without hesitation. They already have 5 stars on Yelp, but from me, it's a million. They also offer a wide range of pricing--from around $1,500 to high-end options--so there's something for everyone. And yes, they even have a massive 10x12 bed in the showroom, which is worth seeing on its own. Everyone there was great, and another big plus: they don't work on commission, so there's no pressure to upsell you into something you don't need. If you're in the market for a new mattress--and honestly, you probably are--do yourself a favor and check out Custom Comfort Mattress. You'll have a completely different experience than any other mattress store.
