Good mattress store they delivered on time and did what they said they would do I would buy from them again

I was in desperate need of a good mattress. Waking up to painful hips and back is not fun. After checking local companies, my husband and I headed off to Mattress land. We were dreading high pressure sales people trying to sell us something we couldn't afford. That was not our experience at all! From the moment we walked in, Tim listened to our needs and price limits. Within minutes, we fell in love with a floor model that was 80% off! No delivery charges and no added pressure to buy extras. Delivery was an hour delayed due to snow. The delivery men were wonderful. Set up went quickly and they took my old mattress (for charge of dumping fee). Overall, this was a great experience. I had a very positive experience when shopping for a new mattress recently at Mattress Land. Tyler, the owner, took lots of time to answer my questions and showed me a wide range of mattress options. I had visited several mattress stores prior to going to Mattress Land but learned more from Tyler than any other place I visited. I never felt any pressure. I purchased a mattress and frame that best suited my after trying out many options. The delivery and set-up went great. I would definitely do business with Mattress Land again. read more

If I could give this fewer stars, I would. All previous reviews seemed promising so I decided to give this location a try. When my partner and I arrived at the store, an employee, who informed me that she was the manager, seemed very friendly and easy to talk with. We decided to purchase a mattress that day but were told that the mattress would not be ordered until the following Monday. When Monday came, my partner called the store to check on the mattress. The manager informed him that they had not shipped it yet and that it was now on backorder. However, she said to not be worried and that they would ship it within the week. This was THREE weeks ago!! Not only has this business lied time and time again about when our mattress would arrive but the repetitive inconsistencies, along with the employee's incompetence are the reason for this very review. Most recently, we called the store again, to which no one answered all day. When my partner called the store manager directly, the man answered stating that he did not know where our mattress was, whether or not it had shipped, that the store was being sold, AND that he did not have any further information. This has been one of THEE worst experiences I've had, not only with a mattress store and company but with customer service in general. Would NOT recommend. read more

The customer service here is exceptional! We have purchased multiple items from here and have always loved the items we bought and the prices we paid. These people went out of their way to accommodate us. With so much competition out there, this is a store you shouldn't miss. read more

Needed a decent set of twin mattresses for a day bed, walked into the store, the man in charge of the store that day greeted us almost right away, we talked, sat on and bought two twin mattresses, they are great, a little tall but oh well, our guests will sleep well on these two mattresses, but not too long I hope! read more

Ok. So me and my fiancé went in to mattress land to get our new mattress. Chuck is the coolest and nicest sales person and I think he's the owner. He didn't pressure us into buying anything. He was very helpful. He took his time to answer our questions. We bought a tempurpedic which came with 300 dollars worth of gifts, super cool. Great customer service and a comfy bed. read more

I walked in with a good idea what I wanted and Chuck had a good idea what I needed. I came here because of the good reviews and because anything I might need dealt with was local. I was very pleasantly surprised. His guys brought my new system and took the old one away no problem. Later when I decided I wanted shorter legs with casters on them, he found them and sent his guys to replace the legs. They were very quick and professional. I paid for the new legs but not for his guys to come and change them. If I ever need a new mattress I would gladly shop here again. I would recommend this store to all my friends and family. The search for a new mattress set is not a fun one, in my opinion! There are too many stores who promise the "best" prices and service, but sadly do not seem to actually care about the customer. My husband and I were headed to Sleep Country on the corner of Biddle and McAndrews when we happened to see the sign for Mattress Land. As usual, I went online to see if there were any reviews. Yelp had zero reviews, but Google had 3. All of the google reviews were excellent, so we decided to drop in and see what they had to offer. Mattress Land is not a fancy store with slick sales people who leap out at you as you walk in the door. No - this is a low-key, but well-kept, store with friendly salespeople who give you a little room to breathe (take note of that Kevin at Sleep Country!). After looking on our own for a few minutes, Michael asked us what we were looking for. He quickly directed us to the type of bed (firm) we wanted and then gave us time to try them out. When we had found one we liked, he talked to us about availability and prices. There was no hard-sell, just friendly information in a relaxed atmosphere (again - Kevin at Sleep Country - please take note!). When Michael discovered the set we wanted would not be available for about a week, he called the owner (?) Chuck over to help. Chuck offered to deliver a loaner bed of a similar type so we would have something to sleep on while we waited. This solution was satisfactory to us, but wait! There's more! Chuck asked us a few questions about price, then had us try out another firm mattress set that was in the next price tier. We liked it as well - so Chuck went ahead and discounted the price to get it within $50 of the original set we were going to buy! Bonus - this set would be delivered in 2 days, and he threw in the frame for free!! All that was impressive enough and my husband and I were very pleased with the service at Mattress Land. However, when they delivered the bed, we were amazed all over again! We happened to have gotten a new couch set the same day as the bed delivery and were trying to get it set up (had to put the feet on) while the guys were putting the bed together. One of the fabulous delivery guys noticed we were struggling a little and he ran out and grabbed his drill and put the feet on for us! No questions asked - just a kind deed! He then proceeded to take away all of the plastic wrap that had been around the couch (since he was taking it from the bed, he took the stuff from the couch too!) saving us from filling our garbage with it! What great service! I know this review is too long - but I had to make sure everyone knows what a fantastic business this is. If you need a mattress set - please go to Mattress Land! Wow! Excellent service! Walked in right as they opened in emergency need of a bed! Chuck showed me really nice mattresses in my price range and was very knowledgeable about each one. This process was very quick (about 30 mins) and I'm very excited to sleep in my new comfy Sealy bed :). Which also came with a box spring and 45$ frame. I also got a sweet deal on a freakin awesome pillow with the purchase of my mattress. I will definitely recommend this mattress land and be back for another pillow also free delivery in the area! read more

We went into mattress land 5 or 6 years ago looking for a new mattress set. We had trouble deciding which one we wanted, Chuck helped us with our decision and we went with a hybrid set of split king adjustable. This bed has exceeded our expectations and is still in new condition. Still the most comfortable bed we have slept on. read more

Zero stars for Mattress Land. My partner and I had a terrible customer service experience here and they lost our business because of it. We bought the exact same mattress at Macy's because the Mattress Land salesman was a condescending, rude, unhelpful, and bitter human. We walked in and told him the brand/style we wanted, and he launched into an uneducated and unsolicited lecture about back care. I am a medical professional and my partner has been a spinal care patient for over a decade. Not only was his information false, but we couldn't get a word in edgewise to discuss the mattress we wanted. Needless to say, we promptly excused ourselves from Mattress Land forever. read more

We had the very best experience thus far. We went to three different places and ended up buying at Mattress Land because they were personable, knowledgeable and had the bed we liked the most even if it was not the cheapest. They gave me a great price on the king frame, box spring, mattress, mattress cover, bamboo sheet set and two excellent pillows as well and they delivered on time and had me set up in 15 minutes. DO NOT let them convince you to buy the "guaranteed waterproof" mattress protector!!! It is a ripoff! I just had my second one that I bought a year ago fail when my daughter wet the bed. I have always washed it with mild detergent, cold water and line dried it ( they will tell you it fails because you wash or dry it too hot) . The warranty process is a joke! You have to ship the protector, at your expense, to the manufacturer and wait with a soiled mattress while they decide IF they will replace your mattress. I have a protector on my other daughter's bed that I bought for a third of the price from Walmart. It is much softer and has never leaked in 4 years of potty training 3 kids. I have always bought mattresses here and always had a good experience but am disappointed that they push these protectors and make it sound like THEY really stand behind them but when all of the sudden you have nowhere for your child to sleep because you trusted it they can't help you find a reasonable solution. read more
