I was dre ading shopping for a mattress. David made it easy. The mattresses are displayed in a way that makes it easy to compare. The showroom was nice and not overwhelming. He asked my budget and suggested mattresses in that range. He did not show me mattresses outside of my budget, nor did he pressure me in any way to look at others. He explained the difference in the coils and cost. I was allowed to take my time in trying different mattresses. Once I chose a mattress there was no pressure to buy accessories. I went during my lunch break after reading everything I saw on Yelp about this awesome store. I had the pleasure of getting help from David, had a budget in mind, and a general sense of space limitation that I brought up. In seconds, David asked the right questions to narrow down my personal preferences. The best things I thought about this experience was that we shared an INTERACTION, not a TRANSACTION (common in larger firms that just don't care). This meant there was no BS; David was up-front and was extremely easy to communicate my needs to. After the criteria had been established, I could see David had a simple and adaptable system, which could help facilitate my preferences. We were able to figure out which mattresses fit my needs in less than 10 minutes, and then move forwards to my financial needs. David gave me an awesome deal, which included the mattress and frame set, a bamboo pillow, free delivery, and a very reasonable delivery date. Even better, the package I got was initially WAY over my budget, but he helped me out so much on the deal, where I was still within my budget. The entire interaction was 23 minutes, where my financial , physical , spacial needs, and time of availability were met. I gotta say, David really knows his stuff, is able to communicate extremely well, and is overall an awesome and kind guy. In anticipation of housing some out of town friends, my gf and I set out on a quest to find a comfy yet affordable bed to replace the futon in our guest room. After checking yelp for mattress locations, we decided that the Best LA Mattress store would be one of the stores we visited. We didn't end up getting anything from Best LA Mattress but as we were leaving the area we came across Mattress Stop which was literally just a few stores down. When we entered the neighboring Mattress Stop we were greeted by the owner, Richard, who was really friendly and really asked a lot of questions so that he could pin point the perfect mattress for our needs. After we told him what we wanted, he intentionally showed us a couple high end mattress just so we could get a baseline feel of a high end mattress. Richard then led us straight to his recommendation for our guest room. After our trying out his recommended mattress, he was happy to show us other mattresses, but ultimately we could have saved some ourselves some time by just listening to Richard in the first place. We ended up going with the mattress that he recommended and he gave us an awesome price which included the box spring, bed frame, and free shipping. This was the first store I went to when shopping for my new mattress. I talked to Richard, who helped me pick a mattress. I walked out with a couple favorites, but wanted to go to some other shops to compare. None of the other beds felt quite as good, and no one else was able to take my, admittedly undescriptive, descriptions of what I wanted and understand exactly what I meant. I spent a few days thinking about it, then came back to buy a mattress from David. I had not yet bought the bed frame or bunkie board, so I had to move my delivery date a few days later after finding out that my room would not be ready. Then, I found that I bought the wrong board the night before the delivery date. They were able to add a bunkie board to the order the morning of the delivery. The customer service was great, and, not for nothing, the prices were the best I saw. read more
