A mattress store is not something I generally get excited about, but these folks are good, they know their products, and they are friendly and kind too. No pressure to buy, full service, convenient and reasonably priced. Many people would like to actually try a mattress before plunking down $2-3000 for an online order. If you've tried that, its not a great experience, even with a "360 day return policy" (read the fine print). And those returned mattresses are not resold - they are donated or junked. My back and shoulder suddenly declared war against n my tried and true Sleep Number bed. After 20 years, I needed more padding. I am a hot sleeper, so memory foam didn't work for me, plus I had an allergic reaction to a memory foam topper I tried. Bought my first mattress here a few years ago and was amazed by the customer service I received, especially by the owner Alex. I came back recently to purchase another mattress and they helped me pick out a mattress perfectly suiting my needs at the time. Well, 6 months later I'm super uncomfortable on the mattress, I feel like it's too soft, and not only that it was completely sunken in the middle. (Due to thick carpet, the bed frame was sunken a few inches deeper in the middle than on the sides of the frame. ) I called Alex and he said no worries we will take care of you. So I came in to pick out a firmer mattress which he completely replaced for me, and not only that, he had two men come out with delivery and set up a whole new under the bed system specifically for my thick carpet. Our new king-sized bed arrived with two men who tried to assure us that it was set up properly and ready to use. However, after they left, we tried to put sheets, etc on it, only for the frame to come apart. When we called the store, the woman who answered the phone told us there was nothing she could do, except send out the men late tomorrow to fix it. We cannot sleep on it and we have hardwood floors. I said we'd have to sleep on the floors tonight and she said, "okay. ". We are VERY dissatisfied and disappointed with this business. read more

The only thing I didn't think about was the weight of the mattress. It was my first time buying a "real" mattress, so I did my homework and shopped around before I came in. I ended up buying one of the queen beds they had on the showroom floor as it was the last one left. They knocked $100 off the price, so I said yes to it. After the sale was completed, there seemed to be a lot of relief on their part, almost like what I would see when sales were closed at car dealerships. They delivered to my place in Carson for no charge as it was local enough. If you're a bit further out, ask nicely and I think they would be willing to waive a delivery fee for you. Setup was included as well. Overall, when compared to other mattress shops, I would say that the salespeople (especially the owner) come across as more genuine and definitely a lot less pushy. The prices are clearly marked instead of some convoluted financing plan taped to a headboard. If you know what you're in the market for and have done your homework beforehand, I think you'll find this to be a pleasant shopping experience. read more

I had a wonderful experience here today. Marija helped me today. She was very patient with me as I must have tried out every single bed in the store. I didn't feel pressured to buy, but the prices are amazing so I ended up getting a mattress set today. I spent a lot of time researching prices and types of mattresses online so I was really happy to see that the prices in store were excellent. They also have headboards and stuff here, which I didn't know. I didn't end up getting a headboard today, but they have a lot to choose from (even a catalog of things not in the store with pricing). Looking for real down to earth people to purchase a bed from, here's where to find them. Here's my story. So, I've decided to estrange myself from my wife and move into my own room in late October 2017. Went to this store. Spoke to Alex. Explained my situation with not only my relationship, but as well as my physical health. Alex totally understood my needs. I was pretty much an easy sell for him, because I already knew which mattress and that I wanted an adjustable base because of my physical health. Within minutes, Alex had me test out the TempurPedic mattress (already decided on a TempurPedic). It was perfect. Next he shows me the base and goes and gets the mattress I just test drove. Puts in on the base. Played with the remote and the various settings available. Decision made. Purchased everything to be to told delivery will be next week. Alex fully understood my situation and scheduled the bed to be delivered the next afternoon. They were on time and setup everything without issue. Their driver and helper were awesome and extremely professional! Earlier this week, I called with a concern about the bed and the base. Alex was here the day and time he said he'd be here. Wow, Of course I read reviews on here with caution because I think-and rightly so-that too many 5 stars means some reviews may be fake. However, this place is very local and I simply did not trust the dudes I was talking to at Sit N Sleep so I gave Good Night Mattress in RPV a whirl. Actually, it was a second whirl as 3 years ago I purchased a twin mattress from them and that experience, as this one went without a hitch. I sauntered over in search of similar mattresses to the ones I located at the Torrance Sit in Sleep. Mattress makers/sellers are evil in the way that they all sell the SAME Mattresses but change the names. The same Mattress called a Plush Karen at one store is a Plush Kimberly at another and they change the outer skin to screw you up more. They simply do not want you to be able to compare apples to apples or in my case Simmons Beautyrest to Simmons Beautyrest . This issue can be circumvented by studying the tags and jotting down the special features for example coil count, foam thickness, firmness class etc etc. However, some places including Good Night Mattress was not so upfront about this info. For me I much prefer READING myself the tags than having a salesperson with a goal of selling me something harping about this coil stuff or that stuffing. I ALREADY know what I want going in and I will ask you if I need your assistance. Thankfully, the cool chick there left me alone after she started her coil schpeel and I rolled my eyes. A man would not have gotten the hint. hahaha Anyhoo, I plopped on a few of their mattresses, assumed the appropriate positions and made my choices. All without anyone bugging me, trying to "educate" me, or sell me anything else, or glaring at me for my plopping and rolling frenzy!! I told the lone sales person my choices and then she got down to business. I believe that all prices are negotiable especially in this economy. However, I usually dread the negotiation process because I am sometimes just not very good at it. Flexibility is in my repertoire but because some sales people confuse me I often just walk out if they change things up a bit. This gal was perfect though. She was clear in exactly the discounts,extras, and services I would get and they were pretty darn good. Good marketing ploy BTW! I let her make the first offers and was so pleased I had no need to counter offer. I mentioned I did not require one bed frame as I had one and she knocked of another 50 smackers-yes bed frames are a bit more but I was very happy. I said I would return a bit later to seal the deal and when I returned I was happy that the deal she offered did not magically change to something else. Delivery came in one week. They worked with my schedule, were on time, nice, and totally professional, as well as cool-helping me break down another bed which they did not have to do. I was slightly freaked at a manufacture flaw in one of the mattresses. I pointed it out to the delivery dude and he took a photo and instructed me to sign for delivery"received damaged" . This gave me piece of mind as I thought about returning it. I realized I could live with the flaw as it was clearly cosmetic. It was comforting that Goodnight Mattress did followup with a call about the flaw. Yah peeps if you need a Mattress, this really is a place to go. It is a local company too and not some big ole chain. read more

It is hard to believe, but this is a local business, not a part of a chain or franchise, and the RPV store (in the same complex as Trader Joe's) is the only one. We came here first after seeing good reviews online. The sales person was very friendly and didn't put on any pressure. He asked us a few basic questions about what we were interested in and narrowed down our choices pretty quickly- we wanted a inner spring. He showed us his most popular options first then we went up and down based on firmness. They have a nice variety of mattresses from different manufacturers, not just the S's. He showed us a few but ultimately I just wasn't totally convinced on their quality and reliability. We paid and set up a time for them to deliver it the following weekend. They came on time, took away our old set, and even put together the new bed and zipped it up in the hypo-allergenic protector. This place was so easy to work with. Hopefully the mattress will withstand the test of time. :) read more

OVERALL : We waited far too long to get ourselves a new bed, so we really didn't know where to look or what exactly made a good or bad bed. All we knew is we wanted to stay away from the regular mattress springs no matter how much better they are now (or so they claim!). So we were looking for a FIRM foam mattress. We Yelped the nearest mattress stores near us and based on the great reviews we decided to stop by Good Night Mattress (also because it's not too far from us). The store was easy to find and there were ample parking spaces. Walking in the door we were greeted by one of the sales associates and told he would be with us soon as he was helping another couple out. The showroom is a nice size with a maze of beds to look/try/touch/test/lay on. Looking around we immediately liked the first bed we tried which was their low end foam mattress (not sure of the brand, but it was on special and located next to the entrance). Then we were greeted by another guy and I believe he was the owner or manager. He was very thorough with describing the type of mattresses they had available - what came with it (box spring, frame, delivery etc.). It was nice to get a concise run through of their low to high end mattresses. We ended up choosing a Beautyrest Comforpedic mattress which was, price and quality-wise, in the middle. Lucky for us it was also on sale! Delivery was included (along w/ the bed frame) and the guys who set it up were lighting fast. They also hauled away our old mattress without any problems. Overall, we're very satisfied with the product and service. Highly recommended! We'll be back when our son outgrows his toddler bed. :) read more

I first purchased a Tempur-pedic pillow from this store about a month ago and due to the great service I received then, I came back a couple weekends later and purchases a Serta iSeries mattress from them. This is why I highly recommend them: Customer service: When I first visited this store it was to purchase a replacement Tempur-pedic pillow. I had called earlier in the day to inquire if they had it in stock and the phone was answered by the friendly Andrew. Once I got to the store, I also asked about their mattress selections and Andrew explained well. Nancy was also there. At no time did I sense any pressure to buy. I brought the husband a couple weekends later to look at mattresses. The minute I walked in, Nancy, the other lady who was at the store when I was there first time, remembered that I had purchased a pillow and thanked me for visiting the store again. That gave me a really great customer service impression. Andrew and Nancy were there and they left us to try out the mattresses ourselves. Then Nancy approached us and offered to help in more detail. She was great and guided us through the process, having us test out various mattresses to gauge what we liked and not liked. She pointed out the price differences among the mattresses as a matter of fact and professionally. We didn't feel any pressure at all while talking to her to purchase a more expensive mattress. She also discussed ongoing promotions offered. In the end we purchased a Serta iSeries and she offered a free mattress protector (that was of very good quality). She also said she would check to see if there are other Serta promotions and would credit us back if they apply. The delivery guys came 5 days later as scheduled (Diversified Movers) and was very efficient and professional and prompt. As for price, since this was Serta, Serta had a set pricing and authorized retailers are not allowed to offer additional discounts. We really enjoyed the mattress purchasing experience with Nancy and Andrew. We found out this store was the original and there's another show room in Redondo Beach. We would definitely return here to purchase future mattresses. While other mattress stores I've visited felt like a car dealership with scheming salesman, Goodnight Mattress was everything but. We loved the service and liked the selection (mid-higher end good quality mattresses). And it's local business so definitely glad we could support them! read more

Easily the best mattress store I've ever been to. (Yes, I just said that about a mattress store) I'm sick and tired of the 'Your Mattress is Freeeeeeeeeeee!' commercials and was a little reluctant before stepping into this place, but I'm glad we made the right choice. The moment we walked in there, we were greeted by a really sweet lady. She has a thick Eastern European accent and was SO NICE. It's refreshing cause I remember going with my parents to mattress stores and you're constantly bombarded with sleezy sales reps. Here? Not the case. Anyhow, my girlfriend and I tried out a bunch of different beds and then the owner, Stacy, came out, greeted us personally and told us all of this informative stuff about the beds. And he acts like he doesn't even care if you buy the bed (???). He seems like he just wants you to be happy, so my girlfriend was raving about how nice the dude was afterwards.
