I was looking for a bed and mattress and had already decided to buy the bed at Macys right next door in the mall. I stopped at Mattress Warehouse first to get prices for the mattress. I was shown several options, and told the one I chose came with basic legs that could be used until the backordered bed arrived. That's one reason I bought the mattress here, rather than bundling both at Macys. The mattress arrived a few days ago without any legs. I called the store and left a message, but no return call. The next day I called again and kept getting interrupted by the sales person, now claiming the legs were extra cost. I asked her to have the manager who sold me the mattress call me back, but two days later no response. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. Anyone can sell you a mattress and be pleasant during the sale. From the moment I entered the store in Montgomery Mall until today when my adjustable beds and mattresses were delivered, the entire experience has been extremely pleasant. I purchased two adjustable beds with mattresses for my husband and me. This company gives amazing customer service. Everything was done exactly as I was told it would be. On Saturday the store arranged for two men to come to my house three days before the beds were delivered to rearrange all the beds upstairs to the best location in order to accommodate for an easy delivery. My king size bed was moved into another bedroom that could accommodate it and the bed in that room was moved as well. All in all, 3 beds were switched into other bedrooms. Today was delivery day and they arrived exactly when they said they would... and the master bedroom was all ready for the new beds. This purchase all began when my friend purchased an adjustable bed in the same store 5 years ago. I was with her and her salesman was such a nice gentleman and so helpful, I decided then and there...when I am ready to spend the money on a adjustable bed I will buy it from this salesman. Well, 5 years later, I went into the store and asked for the salesman by name. They told he he was now the regional manager for all their stores in Montgomery County. I was able to get his phone number and I told him how I remembered him from 4 years earlier. He agreed to meet me in the store when he was in that area and he did so just 2 days later. His name is Savi and he helped me find the bed we thought would fit my needs best. Savi introduced me to Sugandha, a lovely saleswoman who works in the store so she could further assist me after the purchase. A few days before delivery I went back into the store to ask Sugandha a few questions that popped into my head. She answered my questions, putting all doubts and fears as to whether I made the right choice to rest. Being as this is a costly purchase I felt very secure with the store's policies. I highly recommend this store to anyone needing a bed. It is unusual for something like this to go exactly as expected. read more

Stay 10,000 ft away from this company at all costs. The store staff is fine, it's the delivery team that they use that's horrific! They will show up before your scheduled delivery and then leave if you aren't there (again, before your delivery time!) and then say you need to reschedule. LOL. Rude and awful drivers as well. It is a truly great shopping experience in this day-and-age when one enters a store and finds sales people who not only know their stuff, but can communicate it to you in a non-pressured way. That is what happened to us a week ago at Mattress Warehouse Montgomery Mall. We were in the Mall for something else, and as we were leaving the Mall, noticed an adjustable Tempur-pedic bed near the doorway of the store, so we stopped to take a peek at it, as we'd been looking at that type of bed for a year. It was 30 minutes before closing, but the sales person (Jeff, later joined by Sugandha) spent as much time as it took to answer our questions (and there were a lot!). Not once did we get the feeling that they were rushing or pressuring us to purchase the bed, even though we ended up staying there for 2 hours (including 30 minutes to do the paperwork), and I'm sure they had some place else to go on a Sunday night. They were as nice as could be. They worked with us on the pricing, taking advantage of the Memorial Day sale, and we were very satisfied with the price we got. They worked out a delivery time that fit our schedule, and the crew that came was most professional, efficient, and super-neat, leaving not one shred of mess behind. They explained how all the electronics worked, so all we had to do was sleep in the bed that night. They even had the delivery route on their website, so you could get delivery-time updates in real-time. A very impressive operation, and everyone involved clearly aimed to please. read more

I hate having to leave bad reviews, but when a retailer says one thing and does another, it's something people need to know. I went in on Sunday November 15th and found a mattress that was a possibility. I was given the usual hard pitch about how the sale was only through that day (yawn...), but told that I could lock in the sale price with a $5 refundable deposit and then decide over the next several days. I asked what would happen if I decided not to go with the mattress, and they said all I'd need to do would be to call and let them know, and they'd refund the deposit. You probably know roughly where this is going. I called FOUR times over the subsequent nearly two months (11/19, 12/8, 12/27, and 1/5), and each time was told that they'd take care of it. I finally had enough of being polite and patient BECAUSE IT SHOULDN'T TAKE FREAKING FOUR PHONE CALLS TO GET A LOUSY 5 BUCKS BACK and filed a dispute with my credit card company. Who runs a business like this? On one of the calls, the manager told me that things were delayed because of the holidays. That doesn't explain the other three calls. The fine print does say that refunds are processed "within two weeks," and we passed that time a while back. What's sad is that my girlfriend had a great experience with Mattress Warehouse (albeit a different location) a couple years ago when she bought hers, and I would have made them a first-stop when buying a mattress for my other bedroom. I didn't read any of the reviews prior to purchase. I needed a mattress, went to the store and Sugandha was my sales associate. I told her what I was looking for and my price point. She pointed me in the right direction. I put a deposit down and after visiting the store an add'l time, just to make certain I was comfortable with my decision, I made my purchase. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE As a business owner I hate leaving bad reviews on anyone and avoid doing so at any measure. But as a business owner I know the importance of good customer service. He has a name. His name is Sevi. Very rude, condescending, and dismissive. No one should be treated in such manner when they are spending money. I purchased a luxury king mattress with an adjustable base and a twin mattress and box spring. The district manager gave me a nice deal on the beds, which made Savi very upset, (not sure why). He began to whisper in front of me to other workers, (not sure what about). I immediately knew something was wrong. With anger, He told me I should consider myself luck and I should go and play the lottery tonight. I'm not sure what made him so angry, or exactly what he meant by that comment. The sad part of this all is he was not my sales person. I was working with someone else, but Sevi found the need to intervene. He continued to be rude until I left the store. I attempted to leave several times, but my sales person Dornell, which was new, was so nice he encouraged me hang in there. I went back to get the warranty a few days later, I came across this rude and dismissive man again. This time he embarrassed me in front of other customers by sarcastically telling me to go home and enjoy my bed because I can not get a warranty, which I was told that I could come back and get a week later. This man should work in the back where he belongs and not upfront with customers. He appear to have a problem and have no problem showing it. The problem is not the product. it's the service. Received what we were convinced a good deal at the Mattress Warehouse in Montgomery Mall, Bethesda MD, when decided to buy the KING size Tempur-Pedic LUXEADAPT mattress with EASE 2.0 Adjustable Base on July 4th, plus a set of KING Headboard mounting kit. The Regional manager and Jeff were patient, helpful and courteous to explain about the mattress we wish to purchase. However, things went from customer satisfaction to customer nightmare following the delivery on Monday, July 8th. - 1. Mattress delivery came around 12:30pm on July 8, two hours after the heavy rain that morning. The delivery people came in with wet shoes, did not bother to cover my floors in spite of the rain. Sadly, stairs and walkway to the bedroom were left wet and sticky! It seemed MW had contracted the wrong delivery people to provide a decent delivery . - 2. Job half done us job not done! The delivery people should have assembled the Adjustable Base properly - instead, they left the foot cable not connected, would not disclose the cable connector was jammed, and did not bother to fix it and left. Distraction by only switching the head remote control and did not give clear answer when I twice asked why the foot control didn't work. Received No help when called the store that night except "have manager call you the next day" which didn't happen until I called. We ended up must flipped the heavy mattress and Base ourselves to fix the 'foot' cable! "Job half done is job not done!" Complained about the delivery/incomplete setup job to store manager Sugandha on Tuesday 7/9/19. She apologized and agreed to investigate and get back with me. However, have not heard, receive explanation, or offer any help as of this posting! 3. On Wednesday July 10, in our growing impatience with waiting, we attempted to connect our KING Headboard with the EASE Base ourselves, to our horror the wrong size mounting kit/brackets for the headboard was dropped off by the delivery. Upon checking my receipt, noticed standard size mounting kit was ordered by Mattress Warehouse (even though we purchased King size horizontal split Base). We called Tempur-Pedic Customer Service to be told the bracket was the wrong size, we need "King horizontal split Headboard Brackets - not standard" (after we wasted an hour trying to figure out what's wrong!). As a customer in good faith, we've expected the store to order the correct mounting kit for us. 4. When we purchased the KING mattress plus EASE Adj Base, plus KING Headboard mounting kit, the manager stated the headboard mounting kit will be delivered at the same time when the mattress is delivered and will be mounted onto the EASE Adjustable Base. However, the delivery men did not install it and left! On July 11, we called Mattress Warehouse to inform them they ordered/delivered the wrong size mounting kit. They asked "did the delivery man installed it?" Upon checking, admitted the wrong mounting kit was ordered by them, he will reorder the right kit and have us PICK UP the kit next Tuesday. No courtesy offers to deliver the kit to our house (mounting?) Mattress Warehouse customer service AT ITS BEST! Disappointment (to put mildly) to receive such an unacceptable service for purchasing the most expensive mattress set we ever had. Customer's nightmare ruins customer confidence, reputation of a business, and return business. This experience seriously warrant compensation for incomplete service, call to action, and satisfactory explanation. read more

OK so first I should say that as a customer, I promise, I'm easy to please, really! And generally if I do experience less than satisfactory customer service, or if a company makes a mistake, I file it under "things happen." But I'm really upset about how I've been treated at every step of the process with Mattress Warehouse - especially because I have been waiting for the firm to schedule a delivery on a mattress I've paid for for over a month now. I have a number of complaints, but I'll just focus on the main ones. We bought a TempurPedic mattress from Savi, which we received on July 28. We weren't sure if we wanted a memory foam mattress, and Savi guaranteed we could exchange it easily if we didn't like it (though he insisted that it matter because he was sure we would love it.) We decided we did want to exchange it after all, which is when we first heard Savi talk about the $199 fee for exchanging a mattress. This was something Savi had excluded from our conversations about exchanging it if we didn't like it. He became very agitated with us when we brought up that this was the first we had discussed it, which it absolutely was. But, fine - we just want a mattress we like since we're going to spend 8 hours on it every day for the next 20 years of our lives, and if it means foregoing arguments about paying an additional $199 on a mattress, so be it. As we tried to exchange the mattress, Savi multiple times tried to up-sell us on more expensive mattresses, despite the fact that we were very firm about our desire to stay within budget. I would even say he refused to show us mattresses that were in our budget. The final straw was when we called the Mattress Warehouse on Georgia Avenue, from Savi's store, and they quoted us lower prices than Savi was giving us. We were frustrated with working with Savi so we decided to do the exchange at Mattress Warehouse on Georgia Avenue instead. This was over a month ago and our exchange - which Savi told us would be easy and routine - has not been approved. God knows why because I can't get Mattress Warehouse to give me an answer or a delivery date. I've called them multiple times, customer service multiple times, even left a voicemail for the district manager. Every time I get a promise to call me back and some vague explanation of where it is in the process (the store has to re-fax the original order, the district manager is looking at it waiting to approve it, oh they have it they'll call you today, etc.). I can't imagine that good customer service involves constant baby-sitting and pleading for someone to schedule a delivery time or approve an exchange. Mattress Warehouse - I see you respond to some of these comments. Can you respond to mine? I will gladly bury the hatchet if someone will just do the very, very simple task of scheduling the delivery for the mattress I paid for, and then paid $199 to exchange!! Thanks, Matt read more

Don't go to this place. We got several mattress and protector from this place before so I did trust their quality products. However, my most recent experience in Jan 2019 sucks. I needed a full size mattress in a hurry and placed the order right after I walked in since it's the right type I'm looking for. I told him I don't need a box but if it's included in the price it's okay and didn't ask any discount. The sales person Jeffery acted like he is doing me a great favor saying that the box will be free, he will deduct my delivery fee and get me a protector to win my business, etc. I didn't ask for any of it and was in a hurry for another appointment so I paid and rushed out. When it's delivered I noticed there's no box, and I called him, he said the box is additional $100 and I don't need it anyway, and he charged me for the protector for sure which he claimed to be a gift while I was in store. He didn't get me any discount, which is ok, but I'm not happy about he is giving me fake promised and acted he's doing me huge favor as a returning customer. I called the store and store manager saying they will call me back, and it's been more than 1 month already and no one even cares. Don't go to this shady place and don't use Jeffery, who is such a liar. read more

I bought my mattress around Black Friday. I indicated I was moving out of state and wanted it delivered there. The salesperson indicated that was no problem. When it came time to set up delivery I was asked to sign something that eliminated the comfort guarantee since it was out of state. I said I wouldn't do that and said I would cancel the order of that was the case. The salesperson asked me to wait and that she would see if she could get "corporate" to change their policy. Over the next few weeks my salesperson got approval to override that policy from "corporate". I sent over the modified delivery paperwork that included the comfort guarantee and I got a call a week later from someone I had never spoken to telling me that they could not honor the comfort guarantee. Assuming this stranger was not aware of the weeks of waiting that had already occurred to settle this issue, I asked to speak to my salesperson. She was "unable" to call me that day or the next, even though she was in the store. I finally blocked my number when I called and got her to answer to cancel my order. Only problem now is that the return/credit for $3000+ has still not been initiated/processed on my credit card. I have written and called to get assurance that my money (which they have had since December) will be refunded. No response. I assume I will have to take legal action to get a refund for a mattress that was never delivered. read more

Worst customer service ever. Poor follow-up with a defective mattress. Still waiting for a response. Purchased a new Kingsdown mattress the first week of November 2015. Mattress was delivered 2-weeks later. Noticed that mattress was defective after first night, as one of the springs squeaked. Called to report problem the following Monday. Sales agent said give it 2 weeks to a month "to break in." Problem proceeded to get worse. In addition to the squeaky spring, the mattress is now lumpy and sags on one side. Called again in 2 weeks and left a message. Call was not returned. Called again the following week. The person said he would set up a bed inspection and would get back to me. Didn't hear back from them for a week so I called again to check. The employee I spoke with said there was no record of me calling and no record that I was being scheduled for an inspection. However, the employee got the paperwork going and someone did come to inspect my mattress 2 weeks later. The inspector noted during his in-house inspection that my mattress was indeed defective and that I should hear back from the company within 1-2 weeks. It's now 3 weeks after the inspection. Called them again today. The employee I spoke with had no idea what is going on with the replacement of my mattress. Said he would have the manager call me back. Will give Mattress Warehouse 1 more week to address. After that, I'm calling my credit card issuer for a refund. We've been patient. Should not take more than 3 months to replace a defective product. *** Update 2/22/16 *** MW reached out and replaced our mattress. Once Savi, the manager, got involved things moved along. Apparently, that location had some staff turnover which lead to lost or delayed messages. For now, we are happy with the new mattress. MW assured us that if the new mattress does not work out, that we have a credit in the amount that we paid for a new mattress. Happier with my exchange, but I don't see getting many years out of that Kingsdown before it turns to mush. +Though not the friendliest (also not rude) and didn't offer to dispose/recycle my old mattress, the delivery guys were always on time and left no mess. My issues are not with the store, but with Mattress Warehouse itself and the whole exchange process. -Julie Cucina was quite rude when I spoke with her, tone speaks volumes. She did not understand my issue with the mattress/box spring, so I guess her failed comprehension manifested with nastiness. Just because a problem is unheard of, does not make it untrue. -John ? I think he was like the regional manager or something, was kind of brash as well. Speaking to him, I felt rushed and like he could care less, another one to assume my issue with the mattress was nonexistent. Despite reading other reviews, I had a very nice experience with this location, and Savi, a store manager, in particular. I purchased three mattresses from Savi, two queens and one luxury king. I originally ordered three queens, but decided after I had received the mattresses, that I wanted to upgrade my upper-mid grade queen to a top of the line luxury king. I called after having slept on my mattress for a while and asked for the upgrade and the process to getting the new one was quick and simple, not complicated at all like I thought it may have been. I received my upgraded mattress within a week, no hassle whatsoever. I received great deals on all three mattresses, (likely helped that I purchased around Black Friday) and even though I paid a pretty penny for my king mattress, it has been so very worth it, hands down the best sleep I have ever had in my life! In addition to the quality and price of the mattresses, Savi was very patient with me, bearing with me over several weeks while I hesitantly made my decision to move forward with the purchases. In addition, my two young kids accompanied me on my visits to the store and Savi and his co-workers were always very warm and patient with them, even giving them little toys while they waited for us to work. Both sets of delivery men were on time, fast and professional. All in all, I would recommend this store location and Savi and his team mates to anyone looking for a mattress in the Bethesda area. read more

i really did not want to shop Mattress Warehouse...for many years I owned a business next to a Mattress Warehouse on Wisc Ave and found the sales reps there to be far too pushy..did not listen to my questions....even tried recently...not my type of store....i reluctantly walked into a Mattress Warehouse at Montgomery Mall after visiting Macys...talked to Sugandha....found her professional...informative...not at all like other experiences with this chain...bought a mattress...delivery was prompt....flawless...frankly I feel with the warehouse and delivery capability of this chain....they can afford to do with a little less of a used car approach in sales technique and more of a we have the same product at a better price..better service and delivery...dont hide the mattress size and coil count....put everything out there and sell on price comparison and service.. read more

I bought a mattress and was talked into buying an adjustable bed with multiple assurances if the adjustable bed did not fit my new platform bed it could be returned. When I found out from the bed manufacturer that the adjustable bed would not fit the regional manager would not take it back. Mr. Holder the regional manager's response was to retrofit his adjustable bed by taking apart or breaking my new manufactured bed to fit mattress warehouse adjustable bed. The place is horrible!! DO NOT BUY THERE. When you walk in they offer you the moon, nothing is a problem. However, once you make a purchase everything becomes an issue. We dealt with a sales guy who should work as a street merchant and not in a regular mall store. He made many representations and promises about the products and the store policies and even the prices (much higher than what was on their own website). ALL OF THEM WERE FALSE. The staff was incredibly helpful and really took their time to educate us about mattresses. They are very knowledgable and treated us like friends! The worst place to ever shop any mattress. Stay away from this store. I would give less than one star if its possible. I visited the place on November 19th. The manager Savi Singh tried to pressure me in buying a mattress, stating that he is applying some $500 coupons, and the deal is only valid for that day. On top of that he stated that he is giving me two pillows @ buy one & get one free, and free shipping, all valid only for the day. I thought I got a good deal. After coming back, I just happened to check the price online, and I was SHOCKED......on the mattress warehouse website, same mattress was available for less price then what I got in store, and the pillows were at the same price what I got, without any "buy one get one free"....of-course free shipping is standard for any purchase over $599 or so. SO BASICALLY THE GUY WAS COMPLETELY LYING TO ME, AND I GOT RIPPED OFF. Next day, called the store and canceled the order and asked for refund. After about an hour the manager called me again, claiming that there was some problem in the online pricing (seriously???) and he will give me additional $300 discount if I keep the order. Obviously I lost all my trust, and didn't want to deal with these people any more.......Fast forward its Wednesday....I AM STILL WAITING FOR REFUND OF MY MONEY BACK TO THE CREDIT CARD......BAD..BAD....BAD PLACE. I would not recommend Mattress Warehouse in Montgomery Mall, Bethesda Maryland. On December 30, 2018 I purchased a king size Stearns and Foster mattress and a queen size mattress. On January 23, 2019 I decided to exchange the king size mattress for another Stearns and Foster which was not as firm. At the time of the exchange, I was overcharged for the mattress and the store manager, Sugunda assured me she would take care of the issue. Keep in mind I did not sign the sales transaction; however Mattress Discounters charged my account any way. Fast forward to March, and after speaking to the Regional Manager, a refund has not been made. In addition the new mattress has not been delivered. As of today (March 16, 2019), I have requested a full refund. I was told that the refund transaction will be made today and I will receive an email from the Finance Department. Will see how many times I will need to follow-up. Dealing with this issue for three months has been frustrating and the customer experience is definitely unacceptable. I have never dealt with such poor customer service as I experienced at the Mattress Warehouse in the Montgomery Mall. I went in looking for a mattress and ultimately purchased one from Tony. He seemed very professional and helpful I felt like he helped me choose the best mattress for me. I then left the store and walked through Sears to leave the mall and noticed the same mattress I had bought for nearly $500 cheaper. I went home to do some more research and discovered that I did not get a good deal at all, in fact I got completely ripped off. The next day I called the store to cancel my order and was told a regional manager needed to approve it and I'd get a call back in 30 minutes. Two hours later I called again and was told that I'd be called back in ten minutes. After another hour I decided to drive to the mall to go into the store and cancel it in person. I was then told that all I had to do was leave a phone number and I'd be called the next day to confirm the cancellation. One week later I had not received a call so I called again and was not as nice and was told that it would be done immediately and that it didn't need manager approval. Two weeks later I started getting calls and emails telling me the delivery time. I called every number I could find to tell them not to deliver it and no one was able to help me. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would never buy anything from here. I was repeatedly lied to and misled in an attempt to keep me from being able to cancel my order. My advice for anyone shopping here is to go to Sears right around the corner. The prices are cheaper and the service is infinitely better. This branch of mattress warehouse and its employees should all be ashamed of themselves. read more

We had a great experience learning about and purchasing a new mattress for my son. It was so great and Savi was so informed and helpful that I brought my other son by the next day so he and his girlfriend could purchase a new mattress from Savi at this location. Savi was terrific, really listened so that he could understand everyone's needs, put us through the sleep diagnostic system and went to work to find the best possible solution at great price points for our family. I had to follow up on the delivery a day later, and Winston was very helpful in addressing my questions. And after the delivery of the mattresses (at different locations), Savi followed up to find out how we liked the new mattresses, the adjustables bases and asked if we had any questions. Excellent Service! Delivered whatever they promised at the time of purchase. I have been looking for a great mattress for a long time. Had exchanged three mattresses within past 5 years due to sagging ( Had bought from different store brand). I started researching online and in different stores for few weeks and finally narrowed down to two Brands: Airloom by Hotel Collection and Kingsdown ( never heard before). These two have the best qualities and offer hotel comfort. Airloom is available in Macy's and Mattresswarehouse but to my knowledge Kingsdown brand is only sold in Mattress Warehouse and is a local company in Virginia. I tried a luxury model of Kingsdown called West Sand in a different location and loved it. But too expensive. I went to Montgomery Mall location and although they did not have the exact mattress but said that they could order it for me. Savi, the salesman​ was extremely accommodating; he gave a huge discount on the same mattress ( about $800 below the discounted price of the previous location), offered a great discount on a top of the line bed frame and also gave me some free pillows. Had I not checked the prices online and in some other stores, I might have been skeptical. But I knew exactly how much I am saving. Savi introduced his colleagues Sugandha and Tony and told me I could reach them if in case I needed. I got my delivery on time ( Excellent white glove delivery and set up). To my surprise, the whole delivery was computerized. You receive an email the night before giving you a 3 hours window, receive an automatic call an hour before designated time and a second call 10 min before arrival. I changed my mind couple of nights after the delivery about the mattress box as it was too high. I called the Store and talked to Tony and Sugandha and asked them if they would stick to their verbal promise for a free exchange to low profile set? They said yes! Next thing I know was, to receive a set of new low profile split boxes within two days and previous ones were taken out. My mattress feels great and I am extremely happy with the way things were handled courteously and professionally. Excellent Customer service. read more
