we ordered a mattress and got ripped off. Soon aftee we bought the mattress it went into a 50% sale. The salesperson knew this and didn't tell us. They also sold the base and a few other items that didn't fit which they told us that they cannot take back. Never go to this store! read more

He advised me to buy the twin Darlington for durability and cost effectiveness and the Serta queen for same. I bought 4 twin mattresses and 1 queen with box and metal last week. I included the ultimate allergy total encasement to help protect the mattresses for my beach rental home. I am very pleased with working with Walter. Made the transaction very quick and easy. I needed 2 more twin sized mattresses and 1 full mattress with box and metal. I returned to the store and found Walter to help me. I bought two more twin sized mattresses and a full sized mattress with box and metal frame. I also included the full encasement protection. I bought the Darlington brand. I just spoke with Cathy at BedGear. She informed me that our warranty claim from the mattress protector we bought from this store was denied. She explained it was denied because our mattress had more than 1 stain and the claim was entered more than 5 days after the stain. She explained their mattress protectors are NOT for kids in diapers or for anyone with incontinence issues. This was interesting to me for many reasons. To begin, we shopped for this mattress with our son (WHO WAS IN DIAPERS). The sales guy told us to buy the mattress protector to protect the mattress from our son having accidents. He also told us that if he had an accident and the urine got through to the mattress, that we would be given a new mattress. Cathy told me today that the warranty ONLY COVERS A MATTRESS CLEANING FOR ONE STAIN AND WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THAT STAIN OCCURRING. If they cannot get the stain completely out by then, then they replace the mattress. So, please don't buy the mattress protectors from this store. Find another company who's mattress protectors actually keep liquid from getting through to the mattress. I would have paid 3x the price for a protector that actually protected the mattress. It'll be hard for me to trust anything out this store's mouth moving forward. As repeat customers, that's disappointing. I'll also say that Mattress Warehouse did nothing to help us in this process. They actually made it worse. To be clear -- this review is about the integrity of the salesperson we dealt with and the fact that the mattress protector's sold for BedGear should be understood clearly before buying. Our particular mattress protector we bought will let any liquid through, no matter how big or small. read more

I have been here a couple times first purchased king but my husband likes it firm ended up being too hard for me so ended up coming bk (when i said the bed wasn't comfortable I got no issues). I never thought buying a mattress could be such a pleasant experience. The salesman who works there was very helpful and kind, and fully indulged my desires to lay for 10 minutes or so on any mattress I happened to fancy. I came in with my mother and my boyfriend, and he struck up a lovely conversation with us while intermittently giving us helpful information. He wasn't pushy at all, and he had a very low soothing voice that feels perfect for a place that's supposed to invoke a restful atmosphere. It's rare to see such a patient, unassuming salesman. It felt like a very personal, comforting experience to buy a mattress there. Not to mention that when we entered we were approached and helped immediately. Previously we had been to Mattress Discounters, where we were ignored and dismissed in favor of a couple looking for a more expensive mattress. It's a great place to go if you're looking for real quality of customer service. And of course, I received my mattress within a timely manner and without incident. NO, just NO. Don't waste your time. I'm a pretty well-tempered person and I hate how angry I left this store. I hate how they got to me. Believe in the other reviews that this place is out for themselves rather than for YOU. I would have happily paid big money for a top mattress but NO. I rather drive 2 hours away and pay 2x more elsewhere. The salesperson was very knowledgeable, spouting out historical and scientific facts (whether they are true or not I don't care), getting to know me, telling me about his family, laughing together and becoming my new best friend. The moment I said I needed more time to think about it, he immediately told me to talk to the manager. Now, I understand you want to make a sale, but at least make an attempt to be professional. Don't just "drop me off" and turn your back on me (even though no other customers were in the store). At least pretend. And the manager? Come on, make an attempt to stand up and be professional or at least sit up from your chair rather than lounging if you cannot stand. Then, don't tell me how I should shop. Don't tell me I don't know what I'm doing. Don't just turn away and look annoyed when I say I don't want the free pillows and manager special or whatever else. It is my prerogative to have more time to think. What you should have done is be professional, continue the sale, provide a business card and thank me for my time. But no, you turn your back on me, a customer, as I walk all the way to the door then you say, "Wait! We just remembered there's another mattress that'd be great for you!". Really? If you're so knowledgeable, how did you not remember that when I was there for 30 minutes? This is only getting a 4-star because the guy talked us into doubling our budget, and now we are making payments on a bed. Otherwise, we knew it was the right fit for us. Once you take the mattress test do not expect to stay in budget. The good thing though is that you can make payments on it and you don't have to spend $4,000 outright. Today on my lunch hour I purchased the Vertex mattress cover to help with keeping the mattress cool at night. I was so impressed with the customer service from Shaun and Winston. They assisted with my numerous questions and explained the reason a regular foam mattress pad would not be a comfortable and defeat the purpose of a nice mattress. So glad they were able to tell me the way to go to keep me cool at night. Their expertise and knowledge helped me to make the decision on using my feather quilt and have the mattress cover on top. Walked into a very clean, organized, cool store with two energetic reps. Our rep was Raphael and he was very down to earth and helpful. We tried out the bedMATCH system to come up with a list of beds for my wife and me. He was the perfect balance of not being too pushy but being informative. He was very patient and put up with my bad puns/jokes. Although they weren't the cheapest, we were comfortable going with them because of their price match program. It's actually, not a price match, but a price beat policy!! They will not only match the lower advertised price, but they will beat it for an entire year!! How can you beat that?? read more

I dreaded going mattress shopping, but shopping at Mattress Warehouse July 3rd turned out to be a positive experience. My salesperson Rafael had me go through their automated mattress profiler, which confirmed my own preferences. We then looked at different mattress types as he walked me through the plusses and minuses of innerspring versus memory foam mattresses. There was no sales pressure, just Rafael providing factual information, recommending specific mattresses to try based on what I told him I was interested in, and having me try out those mattresses for several minutes at a time. Once I made a selection, he walked me through their 30- to 90-day comfort exchange policy and the manufacturer's warranty policy to make sure I understood what would void the ability to return it (I was taught growing up that one should use a mattress cover to keep your mattress clean, and it turns out that's valuable advice). They unfortunately didn't have a slot open for a next-day delivery, so I signed up for a delivery later in the week. After I got home, Rafael called me up and let me know they'd added extra trucks for July 4th deliveries and confirmed I would like to switch back to next-day delivery. The delivery guys showed up at 8:45 a.m. and were extremely friendly and efficient bringing in the new mattress and springs and taking away the old ones. Absolutely the best experience ever. It was the best experience because of the salesperson Walter. He was patient, listened to what I had to say, and immediately recommended a particular bed which I was told about by a previous client. When I explained that as seniors we need great support with no sagging mattress. He showed me the exact mattress which my wife and I needed. In addition he suggested a movable base. Got the best price here for the mattress I wanted. Salesperson said the mattress delivery guys would adjust my frame from a King to a Queen. When delivery guy arrived he said he did not do this and did not have tools. I told him I purchased the mattress with the understanding that he would adjust my bed frame. I gave him a needle nosed player that I had in the house and he reluctantly adjusted the frame for me. I would have given 5 stars except for the delivery guy who was quite clippy and only adjusted my bed when I told him I would call the mattress store about this. read more

My husband & I went shopping for a bed and went several places before visiting this place and we found the pricing to be about the same as other places we went. The delivery was done as promised the next day with a call from the truck drivers giving us a window which was honored. They were professional and swift. The only thing I have concerns with is that sleeping on it the first night we noticed a fowl odor that doesn't seem to quit. We will be contacting them if this odor persists more than 72 hours. We were not notified that there could possibly be an odor but hope this is due to the mattresses being wrapped up in plastic and not some caustic formaldyhide that I've heard of that is used on "cheap" mattresses as this was a Sealy. Read the fine print on returns. Not easy unless you pay hundreds of dollars for that type of warranty coverage. Other than the odor issue, we slept well the first night. read more

Pushy, rude, car salesman approach. Tried to sell the Tempurpedic mattress even though we told him we didn't like that kind. When I asked him how many coils in one of the mattresses he said it should be written on the info sheet and when it wasn't he got defensive and acted like it didn't matter. I'm trying to compare, so I need to know. If you don't know, just say "sorry, I don't know". Basically had an attitude with my husband and me and that DOESN'T MAKE ME WANT TO BUY FROM YOU. This chain seems to hire these type of people (see my review of the Olney location). Spent most of my life in customer service for successful businesses and this isn't how it's done.
