Bought 4 different mattreses 3 were excellent but the top of the range most expensive one was uncomfortable. When called to notify system was down and on return from the summer overseas vacation recalled to be told comfort policy ended which was of course disappointing. I said I'd been happy with the other mattresses but seen as they were cheaper would only exchange for a more expensive one which I agreed would do . When store manager Nancy at Rockville pike was unwilling to price up the airloom mattress and was rude expecting me to just add 1,600$ for a model she thought was a good exchange, to the already given 4,100$ yelling at me I decided I did not want to give my business to her and told her realizing that customer service and satisfaction are not priority that I would be on my way . Probably the WORST mattress buying experience, ever! Went in store to purchase a new QUEEN size mattress along with a QUEEN size box spring. Got acquainted with a sales rep named Jeff inside the store. He greeted us and helped us in picking out a reasonably priced mattress and took down our home delivery address, along with the contact details and credit card payment. Even wrote down QUEEN as the size for the mattress and box spring, delivery date as Tuesday, 5/30/23. Confirmed all of the information and even called in the order along with the credit card payment details, saying that we would get a phone call on MONDAY night, prior to delivery date. However, come Monday, 5/29/23, didn't get a single phone call, e-mail or text at all. So, called the store on Tuesday morning asking what had happened to the order... Jeff said that their computer systems went down and that they couldn't get the order placed in time for the Tuesday delivery. What nonsense! And he confirmed that the QUEEN Mattress and Box Spring were to be delivered on Wednesday, instead. So, come Wednesday, 5/31/23, at 11:30 AM, the delivery people come with the mattress and box spring. BUT, they brought a FULL Size mattress and box spring, instead of the QUEEN!!! Had to call Jeff back at the Rockville location once again, asking what the heck happened to my order of the QUEEN sized mattress and BOX Spring?!? He then apologized, asking us not to take the delivery, to refuse it and that they would deliver the correct sizes on Thursday, 6/01/23!!! What in the bloody hell is that nonsense?!? I mean, come on, man!!! It caused so much frustration, hassle and inconvenience to us! The delivery guys had to re-carry the new mattress/box spring back to their truck, and we were left with our old full size mattress and box spring once again when we were expecting a NEW QUEEN Size mattress and Box Spring we paid $600.00 for!!! So, we decided to go to the store IN PERSON to request for a FULL REFUND! Never dealing with Mattress Warehouse again! How incompetent do you have to be?!? I was greeted by Marietta, who was wonderful! She was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the products. she recommended that I use their bedMATCH system which makes scientific recommendations on the best mattress for you. I laid down for a few minutes on a mattress and the sensors did the rest. The technology is amazing! It then created a list of the best options. I ended up purchasing one on the list and it is the most comfortable mattress I have ever laid on! I kept going back to try it out because I could not believe how great it felt. Bad experience at Mattress Warehouse. We purchased a Stearns and Foster Reservoir II Firm in December 2018. The first night night after delivery my wife and I both instantly knew it was not the same mattress feel - much , much harder than the mattress in the showroom. I went to the store the next day to report the problem. The manager insisted it would soften up. Needless to say it never did. After a few months, we called back. All they could offer was a mattress inspection for defects. The inspector came and we received a letter a few weeks later saying the mattress was fine. I tried to contact the customer service manager for the firm many times, he never returned my call. We should have been more insistent about returning the mattress the first 30 days, but got too busy. On the other hand, MW help was pretty nonexistent. I would not go back to MW in the future. read more

I was in the market for a new bed because I moved out and my old bed was terrible. So I went online and almost buying and decided to buy it from a local store. After went to many places I went in and told the sales person Faiz my price point and what my back is like and what I wanted to sleep on. He was incredible and showed me their BedMatch. It was a sleep diagnosis system developed by some sleep experts that will scan your pressure points and will suggest few mattress they have in their floor. You must try it. I was in there with Faiz for an hour, and we just went back and forth between Tempurpedic and Kingstown. I chose the Tempurpedic and it got delivered in 2 days. I spent little more then I wanted but it was best investment I ever made. The delivery crew was fantastic. They even took my old mattress away. In general, the bed has been great. It took me a little bit to get used to its firmness and how it gets to your body, but I love it. I highly recommended Mattress Warehouse. Ask for Faiz if you really want good night sleep. read more

The Rockville, MD store is managed like a bad used card dealership. On May 17, 2023, I purchased a mattress from Nancy, the manager. She assured me the mattress would be delivered to our Midwest location by her delivery partners on our requested July 6, date. On June 27, I called Nancy to reconfirm the delivery. Her response was to ask for an additional $100.00 for delivery which is in addition to the $200 delivery fee I already paid. I refused. She also denied providing me with a delivery date, stating that Mattress Warehouse never provides delivery dates, as the delivery company delivers when they can, which is a stupid thing to say. Be aware concerning the mattress home test guarantee. If you decide you are not happy with the mattress and want to exchange it you can loose a lot of money in the process. We visited the Ashburn location and were directed to the Tempurpedic side to the store by Tony the sales man. He did not offer any alternatives and we chose an expensive Pro breeze mattress with the understanding that we could return if we were not happy. Well after three weeks we were sleeping in the guest room. The mattress was too hard for our 70 year olds bones and my wife could not stand the smell. We went back and Chris the sales man was very helpful directing us to multiple choices. We settled on a top of the line Ultra plush 16" mattress and could not be happier. Chris told us the difference between the Tempurpedic mattress we originally purchased and the Beauty Rest replacement was $600 in our favor and we would be getting a refund within 5~7 business days. Well it has been over 4 weeks now and an additional phone call to Chris no refund has been issued. We are very happy with our new Beauty Rest mattress but not with the lack of service and communication with the salesmen. I was CLUELESS about the mattress shopping process. I ended up visiting the store twice and each time I was provided with very thorough customer service. In particular, a gentleman named Sean, really went above and beyond. He showed me how to take the diagnostics test, explained how your body needs to lay on any mattress for the best alignment, and even took multiple photographs of how my body rested on a good handful of mattresses. He also was able to explain the more technical aspects of each brand or version of mattress. This was not only helpful as I was completely in the dark about the buying process, but also as I have sciatic and it was very essential for me to get a quality product. And without expectation, he went out of his way to find a coupon so that I could save money on my mattress and bed frame-one that would work best for my apartment. My daughter went into a Mattress Warehouse store in order to purchase a pillow to replace her current pillow. The sales person had recommended a specific pillow to help alleviate the neck pain she was experiencing with her current pillow. She had purchased other less expensive pillows in the past that worked but did not last more than a couple of months. After sleeping for a few nights with the new pillow, she realized that the recommended pillow was not helping. She went back to the store to see if she could exchange for a different pillow. She was informed that there is nothing they can do. So she spent almost $170 and is now stuck with a pillow that she cannot use. She then went to Bed Bath and Beyond for a new pillow. We recently moved and in the move the link spring frame was dropped and broke. So we returned to Mattress Warehouse to order another one on Sunday. Raphael greeted us right away and stopped to listen to me when I said "I have a question" rather than launching into a sales pitch. I explained we had been in before and needed a new link spring frame for our day bed, since ours broke. He said he had remembered me from my yelp review (props to Raphael and his team for reading every one of these reviews and using the feedback!) We are all set for delivery of our new link spring on Friday (we asked to wait til we were off) -- just in time for our guests over the long weekend. Raphael's assistance, professionalism and sense of humor made the process to order the new piece painless. They lied to me. They said that they would deliver an out-of-state mattress without any issues in 2 weeks, and a week later, they said it was going to take 3 to 4 weeks at least. They said that there are no cancelations for out-state orders and nobody offers help. Once they take your money, there is no way to fix any issues with them. Had an overall positive experience at Mattress Warehouse, especially with the help of Etay, one of their very professional and easy going managers. He did not give us the hard sell which is very important to me. I am very happy with the mattress which was ultimately purchased and delivered on schedule. I also selected a bed frame I liked, but a few days later I received a phone call from Etay saying the bed frame was on backorder, but that they would send a standard metal frame as a courtesy (the one that sits a few inches off the ground). Then when the backorder date passed, I called in for an update. Another helpful employee of theirs quickly found out that the backordered frame was pushed even further back by the manufacturer - it was a popular item, and it happens. They then helped me cancel that frame purchase, so that I could purchase another one. Etay followed up as well to make sure the refund was processed correctly. After trying some beds we fall in love with kings down but the price range we were looking was pretty low. My experience with this particular Mattress Warehouse is appalling. I went to the store yesterday after shopping around for mattresses. I was in need of 5 mattress sets. I had a great offer from another establishment but I decided to stop by this store since it is conveniently located less than 1 mile from my residence before i finalize the other. The salesperson was pleasant and very helpful, Ahmed. I ordered all the 5 mattresses to be delivered today with 2 different delivery addresses under one order. I had 2 twin sets and 2 queen sets to be delivered to my sister in Germantown and a king set with the frame to be delivered to mine. This morning, preparing for my delivery, I woke up early, steam cleaned my carpet, removed my old set of queen mattress. My room is ready for the new king set. At about 11:42 AM Ahmed called me to let me know he received an email that the king set I had originally ordered was back ordered and was not available. He offered me another set they have in their inventory without the pillow top. I told him I want the pillow top per my original order as I relayed to him my concern; if they fail to deliver today, I will have to sleep with my co-sleeping 1 year old toddler on the floor. He said he will reach out to his district manager and get back to me. At 2 PM, I called the store back, another sales person picked up the phone. I had to explain the whole situation. He told me he will try to reach out to his district manager and promised to reach back to me by 5 PM. I relayed to him my concern how it is getting too late and I'm afraid I will not get my mattress on time. I asked if I can try to reach out to his district manager. He gave me the customer service number. After our conversation, I immediately reached out to the customer service and requested to be connected to the district manager. They transferred me to the district manager voice mail, so I left a message. I called the store back at 5 PM and spoke to the same sales person, he told me he was with a customer and he will call me when he's done. At 5:53 PM I tried to reach out to the customer service, but by then they are already done for the day. I had to call the store again and ended up coming to the store in person. The sales person was the only one there. I was extremely upset by then. He told me he has been trying to reach his district manager and he has not gotten back to him. I asked him to try to reach out to him again. When he did, the district manager picked up his phone. Non-chalantly, the district manager asked the sales person to give me the option to "upgrade" my order to the pillow top king set they have in inventory which happen to be less expensive and lower quality than what my original choice. His response just made me even angrier. I asked for his number and called the district manager with my own private number. I tried to reason with him. I was hoping since he is the "district manager" he will have a better customer service approach than a mere sales person. To my shock, he was worse. He told me he was on his day off, I was disrupting his day off. I shouldn't bother him, I should be happy he even picked up my call. I asked for another person to talk to since I am bothering him on his day off, he said to call John, his supervisor at the Customer Service. At the time, the customer service department has already closed. My interaction with him was very unpleasant with no resolution. If anything, he had made me even more unhappy. One of his witty remarks was "Even the owner of the company can't deliver you the mattress today". Good to know. His resolution was to either take the "upgrade" option by tomorrow or have my order refunded, though they refused to refund the whole order, only for my king set. As I am writing this review staring at my son sleeping at the floor covered in our comforter, here are my advice for future customers: Don't waste your time, energy and money on Mattress Warehouse. Very shady company. Bad customer service. They tell you they will match the price of the mattress they sold to you if you find it cheaper somewhere else, but the mattress code they have is different than whatever you would find and they will that it's not the same mattress even though it is or might be. There are too many places where people are honest so why go there? The only time i can think about putting 5 stars is if I buy a mattress , the delivery was good, the mattress was good then of course I would put 5 stars. There is many mattress stores around but I am sure glad I came to this one! My friend recommended these guys who been in business for many years. I told Shakaib(sales rep) about my needs and my budget and he worked with me to get me a mattress I wanted. Ones I found the mattress I wanted Raphael worked with me to not blow my budget. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy, and my financial boundaries were always respected by these guys. It only took few minutes to set up delivery while my 1 year old enjoyed the show room. I work in service myself and this is the place I call a great service : meeting your needs, respecting budget, giving personalized care and making it easy for the customer to get what they need in timely manner! BAD! BAD! BAD! STORE! I went shopping for a mattress on a whim and visited about 4 different Rockville, Md stores during the Columbus Day sales. I came here and was greeted by the district sales trainer. It was like talking to used car salesman that didn't make the grade. After a lot of talking we settled in on a price. The experience with this salesperson (Sean) could not have been worse. (1) He did not charge me the price that we agreed upon. It was less than $100 difference, so I let it go. (2) The same day when I discovered the price he gave me was not the lowest in the area for this product and tried to return the mattress he said sure but NEVER PROCESSED THE RETURN! Horrible "Car Dealer"- like experience. A Mattress Warehouse "sale" is not really a "sale". 1. I went there because they advertised a "President's Sale" for mattresses. I had gone to another Mattress Warehouse the day before that did not have sale signs, so I figured I would drop into this one to see what prices they had to offer. I already knew which 2 mattresses I was interested in as I had tried out the mattresses at the other store first. I asked the sales person "what mattresses do you have on sale." He said "all of our mattresses are on sale". I explained that I already knew which two I was interested in and I asked for the sale price on each. Note... there were no "sale prices" marked on any beds, which I felt was odd when comparing the experience to other typical store "sales". He said he would have to ask a manager. He took me to a very stoic older, very thin man sitting in a chair and told him I was interested in knowing the sales prices on my two specific mattress sets. I also explained that I came specifically to their store as I had gone to one of their other stores the day before and that they were not advertising a "President's Day Sale" and so that is why I was there. Immediately it felt like a used-car "good cop" - "bad cop" type situation. He never smiled, and without any emotion he asked me which one I wanted. I explained that I liked the feel of one slightly better than the other, and that I wanted to choose based upon the differences between the prices (a very reasonable request for any savvy shopper). He flat out said, "I can only make take the time to make a phone call to get the price on one mattress set". Whoa! For a sale, shouldn't they already know what their sale prices are? I again stated that I wanted to compare the two prices. He immediately said, "are you buying two mattresses?" I immediately turned around to walk out as it was clearly a hard sell "act" which I do not put up with. As I got ready to get into my truck, the salesman came out smiling and explaining that he wasn't like the other guy ("good cop"), and that he really wanted to make the sale. I said, I was not going to put up with a used-car dealership like hard line sales tactic, and that I was going across the street to Mattress Discounters and would not accept anything less than the "sales" price on both mattresses. He took my cellphone number and within a few minutes quoted me the two prices he originally quoted. I never went back as I was not going to give my business to such horrible customer service. I went back to the original Mattress Warehouse (Langley Park on University Blvd) where at least they were very friendly with no hard line sales techniques. Lesson for Rockville Pike Store: Be nice to your customers. Be upfront and not "sneaky" about prices. If you have a sale, truly have a sale with sale prices posted on your mattresses. The internet rating systems (like Yelp) will help consumers find the best, most friendly, less coniving places to shop. Hopefully the "used car sales tactics" of yesterday will slowly disappear.
