I purchased a full sized set (mattress and box spring) for a 13-year-old. I was in the process of moving and had the new mattress sent to my new apartment to be set up so that I wasn't moving it myself. They out sourced the delivery guy - and he put the bed together and I made a comment that the mattress was larger than the box spring and he said the mattress would "fluff up" and this was "normal." I should've refused the delivery right there! It is a very comfy memory foam mattress but there was at least an inch extra on every side of the box spring. A full-size mattress should fit on a full sized box spring. The only thing in that room was a bed and the tv. We never moved it from the place the guy put it. Barely 24 hours after we got the bed there, and after only 1 night of sleeping on it, there was a loud crack and the box spring broke. The company was closed on Sunday so I called them Monday morning. I called and spoke with Irina, who told me I couldn't have a refund, all sales were final. She also said I should've done my "due diligence" to know that the mattress/box spring didn't match because they didn't buy the box spring from the manufacturer, they used a generic full sized box spring. She said it wasn't her job to tell me that. My receipt said "set" not generic box spring that won't fit the mattress... The said that in order for me to get a replacement box spring (which they promised they would have delivered first thing Tuesday Morning, I would have to pay for 1/2 of the delivery cost, or I could come pick up the box spring myself, or I could go through the manufacturer. They were being nice and handling the exchange so I didn't have to talk to the manufacturer. . When I said the box spring didn't fit the mattress, it was sold as a set, they wanted me to measure the box spring and the mattress. They should know the dimensions of the mattress/box spring they sold. So after several calls back and forth, a guy from the place called me to tell me their manufacturer sent the wrong box spring. I told him right then and there that I had found the website for the BBB and was I was reporting them. I was tired of the runaround. I did get a call back from them - and eventually, after hours and hours of aggravation, they refunded the money for the box spring and the frame. They were willing now to eat the entire cost of delivery They also gave me the option of a refund on the box spring and the frame. I chose the refund. I asked when their delivery person would be coming to pick the two items up and was advised that "it wasn't worth the money for them to pick up those items and I could just dispose of them." In her reply to my BBB complaint Irina made it sound like they were helpful on the phone but it wasn't until I said I was putting in a complaint did they say that they would refund my money. I updated my dispute since they did refund a small portion of my money but I wouldn't buy from them again. I wound up ordering a frame from amazon with great ratings and haven't had an issue. I'm pretty sure that she won't be happy with this review. The fact that they did finally return some of my money is the reason she got 2 1/2 not 1 star - but the service wasn't even worth a 3. That and the fact that she blamed me in her response to the BBB for "breaking it myself" when she never even sent anyone out to look at the box spring to see why it broke. I will say that the pillows we got there were fantastic - and if the service was better, I would've gone back to buy more... but I won't shop there again, and I won't recommend this place to others.

What a great shopping experience I had at this store…read more Backstory - I have a king bed set and unbeknownst to me, it had a standard (el cheapo) frame that was supporting the mattress and box set. It worked fine for years, but last night, I guess I was a little too overly aggressive (if you know what I mean) and BAM the bed frame broke. I ended up removing the mattress from the frame and slept on the floor. Not knowing exactly what to do, I was driving past City Mattress and decided to stop in and see about a replacement. I was greeted by Carlton Williams and he was super friendly and informative. He showed me a replacement for my exact frame and suggested two different optional upgrades (one had rounded edges and one did not) that were far superior in strength to the one I currently have. I decided to buy the best and strongest bed frame and asked about delivery and he said it would be free for tomorrow. When I asked about same day delivery, he said it is an upcharge and will check the schedule. I left the store at 12:30pm and two delivery men showed up at my house at 2:30pm (exactly two hours since I left the store) and took apart my frame and installed the new super heavy duty frame. The name of the frame is Engage K Knick Hybrid and it was around $200 and is super strong. I was told it can support 1,000 pounds and I don't weight that much, but can give it the old college try tonight if you know what I mean. Thanks Carlton and City Mattress for outstanding service.

We had one more store to shop before we would make a decision which we politely explained to the woman while looking and as soon as she heard that she literally walked away from us and jumped on the next couple walking in the door.
