About 3 weeks ago I was driving down I-205 and I noticed the flags and mattress balloon outside of this store and it reminded me that I needed to get a bed for my guest room. I took the next exit and followed the guys with the signs to the store. When I walked in to the store I was immediately greeted by Brandon. I then told him I just came in to take a look at what they had and that I wasn't looking for anything spectacular because it is going in my guest room and won't get used much. He then showed me a few beds between $399 and $599 for a queen set. (He also showed me their $200 queen set but I do want my guests to come back.) All of them seemed to feel pretty good and a couple actually felt better then what I was sleeping on at home and it made me realize that maybe I should be getting a new bed for myself and then I can put my old bed in the guest room. He then asked me about what I was sleeping on and how long I have had it. It was like he was reading my mind. I then told him that I was contemplating getting myself a new bed. He then said that if I was going to get a bed for myself I should try the new memory foam and some other foam beds they had. After trying the foam beds I told him that they felt weird and that I didn't like them. I then expected him to go through some sales pitch on why the foam beds are better and why I should sleep on a foam bed, but to my surprise he just told me that some people like them and some people don't and that there isn't one mattress that everyone likes. He then showed me a Stearns Foster spring mattress. I laid down and instantly fell in love with the mattress but I was shocked by the price. I then told him that I liked the mattress but I did not want to spend that much. He then told me that's OK and said that the company really wants their customers to be comfortable and that he has something with a similar feel at a lower price. He then showed me some other mattresses that felt close but not quite as nice as that Stearns Foster. He then told me to try the mattresses the way I sleep and see which one feels the best and that if it is the right mattress for me I will know and the price won't matter and then he walked away. I continued trying the mattresses and just like he said I would know. He offered me free delivery the next day on the other side of town and I have now been sleeping on it for the last 3 weeks. I love my bed and I do not regret spending the money. read more

My wife and I went by to look for a price on a mattress we were interested in buying. The Mattress World Northwest salesman said they didn't carry what we were looking for (brand) but they had an alternative if we were willing to give them a chance. The salesman was nice enough but he kept trying high-pressure sales technique which always turn me off. We found an alternative mattress that seemed like it was comparable to what we were looking for, so we put money down to reserve the "special pricing" he was offering and then left to try out the mattress we originally wanted at another location. When it came right down to it, we really wanted the brand that Mattress World Northwest didn't carry, so we bought the bed at another location and then went back to get our deposit back. When we arrived back at Mattress World Northwest, our original salesman had left. We then got to deal with the owner's idiot son who seems to be challenged by the phrase, "no thank you, we really just want our deposit back". The son, the now-adult version of the kid from the commercial, got angry at us and told us we were making a mistake. After jerking us around for almost 30 minutes, we finally got our refund. Even after we got our money refunded, the son tried high-pressure sales to get us to buy a mattress from him and then got mad again when we told him we already bought a mattress elsewhere and that we were done shopping. I originally told him that I appreciated that Mattress World was willing to let us put money down on a bed while we compared the two mattresses, and that if I was ever in the market for a new bed, I would come visit them again. But after dealing with the idiot son, I will never set foot back in there. That kid should be relegated to lifting heavy objects and not be allowed near the public. read more

This is our second visit to Mattress World and both times have been exceptional! First time, few weeks back, we were looking for a new bedroom set for our spare bedroom, had gone to several places with little options and little service. We were at Clackamas Town Center, on our way to Macy's to look at their beds when we came across Mattress World, there in the mall. We went in and immediately found the bed frame we both liked. We were warmly greeted, having friendly conversation with Adam and by the time we left had purchased the bed frame we loved, a Simmons Beauty Sleep "Blythe" model, queen mattresss set, mattress protector and pillow. We were completely thrilled with the service, price and purchase. Yesterday, we went on the adventure of looking for a bedroom set for our 17 year old daughter. This time to the Mattress World at 8861SE Jannsen Road, Clackamas. While perusing the store, we were approached by Tim Lowery. Fabulous person! We had been discussing getting a new bed for ourselves and while our daughter was shopping were trying out mattresses. Long story short by the time we left, we had purchased an entire new bed set for us. We bought the SImmons, Beautyrest Black, Sealy Reflection, King mattress set and a Kasidon, upholstered, bed frame. We got a unbelievable deal! We are absolutely thrilled and customers for life! We went to buy two mattress sets, one queen and one twin, and Holly S. was a great salesperson. She was very knowlegable, knew her mattresses. She was not at all pushy, like some places. When hubby and I had got down to just a couple of models we were deciding on, she left us to discuss by ourselves. When we were ready to buy, she was very helpful. Also she gave us a GREAT deal on the twin set. We also bought sheets sets and mattress covers from here, also got a good deal on the twin set. However, when the sets were delivered, they delivered a Twin XL boxspring (foundation), wouldn't have been bad, but we have an old twin bed frame that does not hold an XLong. Not her fault, but the warehouse that loaded the truck. When we discovered the mistake, I called the store (holly's day off), but the lady I talked to was very helpful, and we got the correct part by the end of their work day. woo hoo. I had a fantastic experience shopping for a new mattress with Brian at Mattress World NW. He was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly explained the pros and cons of each option. The showroom had a wide variety of mattresses to choose from, which made it easy to find exactly what I needed. I ended up purchasing two adjustable Englander mattresses - one queen plush and one firm, both made locally. Delivery was smooth and efficient. Francisco and his team arrived right on time, removed the old mattresses, and set up the new ones in our split-level home in just over 30 minutes. I appreciated the clear communication: I received a text the night before with a delivery window, followed by a phone call 30 minutes before their arrival. I have not purchased a mattress for such a long time. Probably 15 years. I had no idea what I wanted/needed. I came in with a million questions and was helped right away by a lady named Sharelle. She answered all my questions and helped me without any big sales pressure vibe as I tried out different beds. She listened to my likes and dislikes and suggested different beds based on what I was saying. I found the bed of my dreams, bought it today and will get it delivered tomorrow. I am so happy with how easy the whole thing was. I am glad there is a 90 day exchange if I get the bed home and decide I need to get something different. Last year (Spring 2016) we bought a new mattress and box spring for our grandson. Tim Lowery helped us and while we were there he showed my wife a mattress that didn't bother her to lay on and she was able to roll over comfortably. At that time we just couldn't budget it. Fast forward to this past weekend (02/25/2017), we went into the store again. Tim Lowery remembered us and took my wife directly to that bed she liked again. We bought it. Then he had us try some pillows and I found the one I liked best, since I've always had cheap pillows, it took me a bit to find the right one. After reading many mattress shopping horror stories online I was so happy to receive great service and a wonderful product from the Clackamas Mattress World. Brendan helped us (he's the manager) and there was none of that pushy "you gotta have this" type of sales pitch. He let me browse on my own and was available for help if needed. He showed me mattresses in my price point and didn't try to steer me elsewhere. I was in and out in about 15 mins and he gave me a great deal! The delivery was seamless as well. I received a courtesy call the night before and the delivery person gave me a 2-hour window of arrival time and the mattress arrived right on time. It doesn't get better than this. Went in on Sunday looking for a specific mattress and Price come to find out it was the wrong mattress store that I had origanally saw the mattress. Race helped me; he was friendly and guaranteed me that he would find me a mattress that fit my criteria and price. After looking around, testing over 10 beds it came down to just a couple, needless to say He got me an amazing deal on a Luxor Pedic mattress. Brendan also helped me arrange my delivery and was very knowledgeable of mattresses, being in the industry for over 16yrs wow! There was also another gentleman there who I didn't catch his name but was so kind and played with my 2 yr. old daughter the whole time I was there. Overall it was a wonderful experience!! Though we have bought many mattresses over the years, this was the first time that we wanted to buy a really good quality mattress and adjustable bed. Yesterday we went to the Clackamas Mattress World to find out what they had in the way of a mattress for my wife. This after buying and returning a mattress purchased at the Gladstone Mattress Warehouse that we found out was manufactured in China after we brought it home. We were assisted in our efforts at Mattress World by Tim Lowery who was extremely knowledgeable as well as experienced. With Tim's help we were able to find a mattress my wife liked. This is a little late cuz I got my mattress a couple months back but I just wanted to say that we had our mattress for several years and for some reason it got a hole in the side so we went in and asked about the warranty and after sending pics to the maker they replaced the unit with a new one. I was very surprised. I have purchased several mattresses over the last 20 years there and will keep going back because the sales staff are nice people and don't try to push you around, Forgot the salesmans name but he was very helpful while we looked at new mattresses thinking we would probably be buying one but as it worked out we won't need to do that for a few more years. My daughter desperately needed a new mattress so we went to check this place out, thinking it would be the first of a few stores to look at for comparison shopping. We never went anywhere else. The selection was ample, the prices were very competitive, and our salesman Tim was knowledgeable but not pushy. But the best part was that a mattress lift was thrown in as a promo - free! My daughter was so stoked! If I didn't have a perfectly good mattress I would have been tempted to go for the same deal. Buying a mattress and sorting through all the choices can be stressful and expensive, but this was neither. my mom is an Alzheimer's patient at a care facility. she is having all the issues that go along with it incontinence , agitation and memory loss . right off the bat Tim cut through the problems and got the job done . Water proof top covers and full wrap around water proof covers, she needed them all. Special times of delivery so we could have as much family there as possible to keep her distracted while the exchange was taking place .
