The "small" nachos with pulled pork is big enough to be an entree, and they taste great. Don't forget the sour cream and guac. Local brews on Maui are amazing. I had the coconut porter. It was deliciously smooth and paired great with the nachos. They also do beer cocktails. Try one and you won't regret. They make their own catsup and is really good. Great service; great food. This is a relaxed sit down restaurant as well, don't be fooled by the name into thinking its strictly a bar-type place. Loved the Deep-Fried Brie with Pineapple Dip appetizer followed by a veggie burger that was quite decent (especially with a generous dollop of their house spicy ketchup) and my pal's French Dip he was quite elated with. Beverage wise, I had a vodka drink which was of so-so strength and my pal had one of their house drafts which was delicious (I tried it); it is a Brewing Company after all. Great atmosphere! Very chill. My husband is a huge beer fan. We went there on a Monday night around 6pm. We sat at the bar but I don't think there was a long wait for a table. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. I had the blonde bikini beer. I'm not a beer drinker but I enjoyed this one! My husband had a flight of beers and loved it. Like the other reviews said the bar has a mat that has ice on top of it to keep your beers chilled. Never seen that before and it was pretty cool. We also had dinner which was reasonably priced. Cool spot. I was impressed that they had something like 30 beers on tap. You can only find 5 or 6 in stores, so I wasn't expecting a big selection. Pleasantly surprised. They had some really good variations on their beers. The food was good as well. Had the Dynamite Tots which I couldn't get enough of. Hummus Trio was also incredible. The Poutine and Zucchini Spirals were uninspiring. Service was great and ambience was laid back. Again, great spot for beer lovers. read more

Maui Brewing company is the biggest disappointment of our 23 years in Hawaii. They are prejudice when making reservations. We're told they don't take reservations yet they couldn't accommodate our group because they had 2 large reservations. There were 4 large tables and when I called that out, they somehow got 3 more reservations in the 2 minutes we were there. If this was not ridiculous enough, the hostess was the rudest I have encountered. Left the restaurant with her screaming profanities. I highly suggest avoiding this place at all costs. read more

We came here with about 40+ people. This is my second time here and while I really like, I don't recommend it for large parties like ours. The people of Maui brewing didn't want to save tables for a group our size. Not sure why, but that's easy money! We're here for a wedding and we're going to spend! Second, they wanted everything on one tab. Come on! If you have people looking to spend a good chunk of change bend a little. Lastly, they didn't want us to order a ton of food. I guess they were afraid of their kitchen getting slammed? Not sure, but again that's more money lost. As for their beers I thoroughly enjoy them. I really like their Big Swell. It's right up there with most west coast IPAs. I only ordered fries and again I was more than happy. Their fries are really good. They're well seasoned and have a nice light crust. If I was here with a small party I would give 4+ stars. For a large group I would give them 2.5 stars. I'm still giving them 4 but if you're reading this Maui Brewing you might want to change some of your operations. read more

Great place to eat. We had the kalua pork plate. Since it was our first time to eat island pork, we thought it was good. We have had one better since. However the Mac salad was the bomb. I could have eaten five scoops of that and nothing else. The price of the plate was fair for the amount of meat and accoutrements. This place is on our occasional rotation for Maui. It's noisy, the food is OK, the service is quick and friendly, and the location is convenient to the Kaanapali and Lahaina area. We had dinner there last night. I tried their Pub Plate, which was pretty good. A scoop of white rice, a scoop of mac salad, and a pile of Kalua pork, with bbq sauce on the side. Whenever we have a day off, Maui Brewing Co. is automatic. Living in Lahaina there are tons of places to choose from to eat and drink, but MBC has consistently been a favorite. With their staple brews on tap and seasonal sand specialty boards always changing every visit is an adventure for the avid beer nerd. I myself am an avid foodie and up and coming food porn photographer (you're welcome in advance) and I just wanna eat everything after taking some pics. This most recent visit, we split the Kahuna Burger which is a 50/50 patty of beef and ground Bacon (Slater's in Cali, you get some competition on this one) with no condiments added right off the bat so the patty can shine, like it absolutely did. We ordered some Tots Dynamite w/ Bacon (you can also add chorizo if you like) which is Tater tots piled on top of beer cheese sauce, jalapeños, green onion, kimchi aioli, and garlic cream. I have ordered it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This visit after stuffing my face with the above mentioned, I asked for the menu with the dessert because let's be real, I should have had dessert first! I ordered the Kahana Coffee Pie and I was a very happy with my choice. It's a little decadent if you like chocolate, this one is for you, if not, I would order something else. As usual, we sat at the bar and watched the Maui Waverider Competition happening live down the street at Peahi and Emily helped us out and kept us laughing. If you are planning to visit there is lots of seating and kids are for sure welcome. When I bring the little girls, we all go pretty hard on the house made root beer. This place is close to our condo and but we had never eaten here, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. The place didn't disappoint. The space is open and large with a lot of seating. Cool and casual atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was really good and tasted fresh. Enjoyed the burgers, Mac and cheese, and wings. We went to to the maui brewery during happy hour. That proved to be a good time to go as the flatbread pizza was only $10 which is normally $18. The portion is big but the group I was with said the flatbread was good but not $18 good. I had the fish but it was just alright and was over cooked. What can I say, Maui Brewing has great beer. As a brew pub, there are several varieties you don't find in the store. I had two different double IPAs, Double Overhead and Pe'ahi. Both were excellent.
