The decor is flipping amazing!! I'm not a local but if I was, I'd be a regular at this place. I ordered the French toast breakfast with a SF vanilla latte and let me tell you; that french toast was one of the best I've ever had, it wasn't too sweet and it was the perfect portion size for me. I wanted another breakfast place to go to that we haven't been to. I searched the reviews and picked this place. Not sure I did a good job. The place is up North from my resort and only a 5 minute ride, so it was close by. The reviews were just ok but I tried it. We got there and found a parking spot close to the restaurant. When we went it it was pretty packed. all tourist . I looked around but didn't see any seats. My wife and I went back to the front and a waiter said it would be a second, then directed us to a table all the way to the back of the place. Luckily the guy behind the bar said he got us. Otherwise I didn't think we would have gotten any service for a while. The place was packed full of weird stuff for decorations. The walls were written on by previous customers. It was a sight to see. Not sure it helped in know if the food would be good our not. It look Peruvian maybe. The guy looked possibly that or middle eastern? not sure. He brought us some menus and asked if we wanted coffee. I told him just water. I decided to go with eggs benedict to be safe. The wife decided on an omelet. The service was really slow and you could see people were already finished eating and wanted to pay but didn't have their bill. The place was full. We learned later that only two people were working today and the old man apologized for the slow service. My benedict wasn't too bad. The flavor was ok . My wife's omelet was a miss. It was lunch meat and canned pineapple and she said it was horrible. Oh well not a good pick. It seemed like a tourist trap especially the prices were crazy for the low quality food. Hello Fellow Yelpers We found this place by accident, which was great for us. Had dinner , I had the chef salad with a delicious vinaigrette and my sister had shrimp scampi. Both were very tasty. The best part of the night was the awesome waitress Samantha and the live music singer Chris Magee. We found out they also serve breakfast and we can back in the morning for this. We are coming back tonight to hear the live music again. The decor of this place was unique. It's an old bar with fancy decorations, and dark art stuff. Not sure how to explain it, but some of the things didn't go. The place looked like it needed some care and updates. There were two servers, when we walked in. One told us to wait and the other told us to sit anywhere. We just decided to sit. It took them awhile to come by. But we finally put our order in. I ordered the Hawaiian omelette. It was awful. The omelette was very over cooked and they used thinly, sliced lunch meat for their ham and canned pineapple. There wasn't very much cheese. It didn't taste very good, it was very bad. The only thing I liked on my plate was the toast, and that was mediocre. You would think they would use fresh pineapple, you're in Hawaii! The omelette was overpriced, they charged $22. I compared other cafes and restaurants in the area and the restaurants don't charge as much. I would never come back. This was an awful experience. Service and food were bad. I think they are taking advantage of the tourist in the area. They are charging more than they should for their food. This is unfortunate. read more

We have visited many times on past trips but have found that this time things seem to be lacking! We orders garlic bread to share and it was nothing more than hotdog buns with butter, garlic and some parm shreds on top....total joke! I love the art work in the dining area but feel like the dining room could use a good cleaning. Our bartender was super friendly and energetic. I hope to return in the future to find better quality food and a cleaner dining room. The music and service were fine, but I was genuinely surprised by the owner's , Farzad Azad, behavior. During my visit, he initiated a conversation about politics, mentioning he left California because of it, and then continued expressing strong negative opinions about politicians. The tone included visible frustration and inappropriate language, which made the interaction uncomfortable. What could have been a very pleasant experience was overshadowed by this encounter. I hope there's more attention given to maintaining a respectful and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. read more

We came at 7pm for a drink and dessert. I found a great spot at the bar to listen to the one man band. He played Billy Joel, Tom Petty, and Grateful Dead. He was pretty good and made this even more festive for a December night. The food is comforting and we went with an amazing bread pudding that was just outstanding. Definitely safe room for it or go straight for drinks and dessert. The bartender is a friendly local. There's a cute black and white tuxedo cat who deserves attention. This is a dive... cafe? It's a bit dark and dingy with a lot of kitsch and knickknacks that make it look unique and fun. The staff was very welcoming but, unfortunately, the food was substandard. My soft drink was very flat and 1/3 of the noodles in my fettuccine alfredo were hard as a rock and turned upward. The chicken was over cooked and borderline graying. My husband's BLT was served on moldy bread. We let the server know, we returned it, and it and it was taken off the check. Finally, the 3pc band was sorely underrehearsed. They were all talented but it was as if they had never rehearsed together. It was an odd evening, to say the least, and just generally disappointing since we stay locally every year. I stumbled upon this little cafe/bar on my first full day in Maui and I really enjoyed the whole experience. As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by the staff and took a spot at the bar. The ambience was very relaxing, smooth jazz playing the entire time. I ordered the late bird special and it was great. A simple breakfast at a good price considering the cost of food on the island. My server was absolutely amazing. Attentive, friendly, and made me feel very welcome as a solo diner/traveler. I like it here and definitely not in a huge hurry to take off. The bartender waited on us immediately and he was very funny and very attentive. My wife decided on the taco salad which she said was delicious. I ordered a cheeseburger which was very very tasty. Yes! Loved this place. It's one of those kitschy filled with random items. Art and signed dollar bills, old statues, dolls and things you see down the shore. Service was quick and attentive. The server is a kind soul that wants you to enjoy. Good hot coffee with free refills. The coffee has a boob on the emblem. You know it will be good. I had the French toast and Portuguese sausage. I liked the sausage but my wife felt it was too greasy to enjoy. I get it. I love it though! Good amount of bacon and well sized pancake. It soaked up the syrup like it is supposed to without getting soggy. Friendly, fast, flavorful and local. We would absolutely return to this little spot. And they have live music at night. Walked across the street to Java Jazz to try it out for dinner. Walked in and only a couple people were at the bar and no one was eating food at tables or anything. We sat down and ordered some drinks. We ordered food: catch of the day, mahi mahi, with rice and veggies, alfredo fettuccini, and the kids had the butter noodles. The catch of the day was excellent! I am so glad the waiter recommended it. It was so good and my husband cleaned the entire plate. I had the fettuccini and it was so creamy and delicious. Everything was really good. The decor wasn't much my taste and the benches at the table were a little uncomfortable with the cloth embellishments on it. The service was impeccable, everyone from the staff and the locals made you feel like family. In the morning as soon as you walk in, Nader is ready to pour you a cup of coffee and at night, Sidney is behind the bar making the best Margarita. And as for the decor, I mean just look at the pictures. Any direction you look you'll find something interesting. The bar is on the far left side and the coffee bar on the right. Tables with menu on them and I'm guessing you go up somewhere to place your order. The menu looks good with a variety of breakfast and lunch items. Parking is pretty easy and the ordering was efficient. read more
