    On stage

We had a wonderful time at the Magic show we brought our visitors for some fun One of our party got called on stage. It was great and a ton of fun

We had the best time at Mulligan's, we happened to go on a Thursday when Brenton Keith, the magician was performing. The show was so entertaining, and our son who is a budding magician was even called on stage. Food was great, drinks were awesome & the show completed the evening. Highly recommend!

Came by for late lunch. Place was quiet. Nice... Before the happy hour crowd comes. This place is only opened on weekends (since covid) The Shepard's pie and Corned Beef and Hash are always good pub choices. Portions are big, so we always take home other half portion for dinner. Good deal! Posting pic of other halves

    Excellent food and drinks!

This our first time dining with our friends living at Waiela. We had their fish and chips was delicious but I would have preferred more fish and spices. The chips was crispy and delicious. I had the mulligan pot pie and large portions amazingly delicious full of beef carrots and onions. Lastly we share two apple pie with vanilla ice creams spectacular with burst of flavors of cinnamon and cloves. Perfectly baked and not too sweet or runny. Lastly the selection of wine was mediocre especially the Mondavi cab was blah. I'm guessing they don't have good wine selection because it's an Irish pub so next time we will order beers. We will definitely return

Not fancy but fun! We had a great Super Bowl Sunday on our vacation. Good service and people were so kind. Even on a rainy Maui Day.

They serve the food family-style but still high-end which was exactly what we were going for so we were not disappointed. Cocktails were great and the vibes in the evening are very nice for a more upscale night out. Food came out a little slower than expected and by the time our Korean fried chicken main course came out we were almost full and had to take it togo. But everything was really good regardless, my favorite being the mushroom salad even though it was a little difficult to chop up since they give it to you as a whole head of butter lettuce. The chicken was really good and really juicy, paired nicely with the side of pickled cucumbers

We made a reservation at the bar as we couldn't make one for standard seating (no availability several days before). They only open in the evenings at 5 pm. Lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. The bartenders that attended to us (especially the male one) was really friendly and customer service oriented. We ordered the garlic Szechuan noodles, the fish of the day 54.00 was the market price!!; we did ask ahead of time), the Lion's Mane Mushroom Liangban Salad. I honestly liked the garlic noodles from star noodle better but the size was a little bigger here. The noodles dressed up with the chef's special hot sauce though made the noodles taste a whole lot better (there are two types of chili sauce - a sambal (our neighbor had it) and a special hot sauce that is more orange colored). It was a little too sweet IMHO without the hot sauce. I noticed someone else mentioned it was like packaged ramen indomie. It actually looked and tasted to me too like it was not freshly made... The fish of the day (kampachi - type of amberjack) was really good. Steamed with ginger and some green onions I think. Tasted pretty authentic and flavorful and soft. Pricey though. The salad was delicious. Very flavorful with the bite sized shiitake mushrooms and just the right amount of dressing. We got a complimentary birthday scoop of delicious lychee/ longan/ ginger sorbet that we loved and devoured! Great flavors! They make their own sorbets in house and typically a different flavor every night! We might come back future to try their cauliflower.

I ordered the Creole pasta, scallop sliders, and the cast iron cornbread, and everything was so good. The Creole pasta had the perfect amount of spice and flavor without being too heavy. The scallop sliders were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. And the cast iron cornbread... warm, buttery, slightly sweet, and served in the skillet, definitely a must order. Great food, great service, and the perfect spot for a relaxed late lunch. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience we've had. Looking back, we probably should have asked to speak with a manager while we were there, but after everything that happened, we simply felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I'll start with the positives because there were several. The drinks were delicious, the sea bass was excellent, and the dessert was absolutely incredible. The pasta itself was a little overcooked and soggy, but the flavor was still very good. The disappointing part of our evening was the service. After our server initially introduced herself, it took quite a while before she returned to take our drink order. When we were ready to order dinner, my husband was still deciding between a couple of menu items. Rather than giving him another moment, our server became visibly impatient and said she would come back after delivering our drinks. It ended up being more than 10 minutes before she returned. When I asked whether the entrees came with bread, her response made me feel embarrassed for even asking. Since they didn't, we ordered the biscuits as an appetizer to enjoy while waiting for our meals. Our children's meals arrived promptly, which we appreciated. However, our server never once stopped by to see if the kids needed anything. I had to flag down another server just to get ketchup. Meanwhile, our server walked past our table several times without checking on us or asking if we'd like another round of drinks--which we actually would have ordered. When our entrees arrived, the biscuits still hadn't come out. Shortly afterward, our server finally checked on us. I let her know that since our meals had already arrived, we no longer needed the biscuits and simply asked that they not be included on the bill. Her response was, "Well, they're made fresh and in the oven now. I guess I can go tell the kitchen you don't want them anymore." I replied, "They were supposed to be our appetizer, and our meals are already here now." Before I could even finish my sentence, she walked away while I was still speaking and appeared to mumble something under her breath. That interaction left my husband and me feeling shocked and disappointed. We've dined at many restaurants over the years and have never felt spoken to in that manner. We had considered asking to speak with a manager at that point, but honestly, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave without any further uncomfortable interactions. This was especially disappointing because Tommy Bahama has always been one of our favorite restaurants and a place we genuinely look forward to visiting whenever we're in Hawaii. We hope this experience was an exception rather than the standard, because the food continues to be wonderful--the service simply did not match the quality we've come to expect.

It has become part of our story, and every visit continues to feel just as meaningful and memorable as the first. The setting is absolutely stunning. Between the beautifully designed interior and the outdoor seating overlooking the beach in front of the Four Seasons, it creates one of the most romantic date-night settings on Maui. The food never misses the mark. We started with an English pea soup that was exquisitely seasoned and beautifully balanced. I followed with the Broiled Miso Marinated Walu, tender, delicate, mildly sweet, served with sesame sauce and crisp cucumbers that added the perfect contrast. The rack of lamb was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. Dessert was unforgettable: the "Spikey Lemon" calamansi cake with yuzu curd and crunchy meringue, plus freshly baked donuts that arrived crispy, warm, and drenched in a divine chocolate sauce. Pure heaven. But what truly sets Spago apart, and what makes each visit unique, is the front-of-house staff. Over the years we've been lucky enough to be served by both Jeb and Mikayla. Jeb was also our waiter on our wedding night, which made seeing him again feel especially meaningful. He has a rare gift: he makes guests feel genuinely special. His knowledge of the menu is remarkable, he reads the flow of a meal perfectly, and he is charming, funny, and effortlessly attentive without ever being overbearing. What keeps us coming back isn't just the food or the atmosphere. it's the impeccable hospitality. One moment we'll never forget: on our wedding night, after I mentioned I was Austrian, Jeb surprised us with a Kaiserschmarrn. It was unexpected, thoughtful, and one of those gestures that instantly lets you know you're more than just another table. You're valued. Thank you to the front-of-house staff, thank you to the kitchen, and thank you, Wolfgang Puck, for creating a place that has become such an important part of our lives. We'll keep coming back.

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.
