We spent about 5 1/2 hours out on the water heading to Molokini, turtle town, and the lava caves. The entire experience was absolutely incredible. The snorkeling spots were **sublime**, the scenery was unreal, and the crew was amazing. They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip so much fun. But honestly... Captain Kanoe deserves his own five stars. His jokes were unparalleled, and he had us laughing the entire time. Even when I got a little too personally acquainted with the backside of Molokini , Captain Kanoe was ready with ginger chews, jokes, and enough encouragement to make everything okay again. And then there were the cookies. Thankfully, those were handed out AFTER I finished getting sick. All jokes aside, this was an absolutely beautiful, fun, informative, and unforgettable experience. The crew was fantastic, the snorkeling was incredible, and the whole trip had such a great energy. Would 100% recommend Blue Water Rafting to anyone visiting Maui. Just bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, and maybe a strong stomach. Captain Kanoe will handle the rest.

First, they need a simple sign with company name/logo for when people arrive in the parking lot. Many other snorkel firms are there and it would be helpful for the tour operator to hold a sign to direct people arriving. Also, some reason the company website defaults to Turkish language. We had to go through Viator to book the tour because the website is in Turkish and we couldn't book direct. Lastly, what is up with the turkey sandwich in the morning ? The tour meets at 6:30 am and this not lunch time. Nobody ate the turkey sandwich so we all felt ripped off. Simple to have breakfast food and snacks. Please drop the morning turkey sandwich and get breakfast food.

The company sends a text message with information the night prior to the tour with information on where to meet (Makena Landing Beach Tour). The check-in time for us was at 7:00 AM and the tour starts around 7:30 AM. All equipment needed was provided (snorkeling set, wet bag, kayak, and life jackets). There were five other people on our tour, which made the tour even more fun :) Tyler gave us all of the proper instructions and tips for kayaking and snorkeling. We've kayaked before but it was both my boyfriend and my first time snorkeling and he made us feel really comfortable and confident in trying something new. The snorkeling experience was amazing and we had the chance of appreciate the beautiful coral reefs, aquatic life (including tunas jumping out of the water), green sea turtles, and surrounding mountains. Tyler was also really knowledgeable about things to see on the island and had a lot of interesting fun facts. Our friends also agreed that the tour was worth it and overall had a really great time. The longtime keeper of the Maui Fish Pond is Uncle Kimokeo, he is a life long Maui resident who has dedicated himself to preserving the Fish Pond for future generations. You see the Fish Pond was built in the 1600's to create a safe haven for the local fish to spawn and grow. Uncle Kimokeo has maintained the Fish Pond walls using stone high atop Haleakala rebuilding the wall stone by stone. Uncle Kimokeo says he's is entrusted to preserve the Pond and the culture. To listen to him explain all the cultural lore was amazing. He took us out on a Double hull Canoe north and basically had the whole boats singing and chanting Hawaiian songs giving thanks for the permission on the water. The Maui Fish Pond takes out groups daily by appointment for a donation 69.00, consider your donation as a write off as the foundation is a non profit corp. these monies supports all of the upkeep, programs and Youth programs the foundations supports. Captain Michael and crew who led our "Discover Lanai" day were awesome! Super attentive, the food…read morewas abundant, the boat was very clean, and I felt safe out snorkeling even with a pretty big swell shift from the Hurricane. The details: Our tour started by meeting at tree at the Sheraton, which sounds awkward but for us was super convenient and it was fun boarding the sailboat from the beach but you will get a little wet! Captain Michael walks you though the day and then you are off for about ~90 minutes to Lanai. During that time you are served (not a buffet) two meals. The cinnamon rolls were great and the breakfast croissants are now something I make at home. There was also a photographer on board so we took advantage and took some family photos (you buy at the end and I found them a whole lot cheaper and less stress than an actual family shoot). Once you get to the Island you can take a golf cart or take a short walk to the beach where they have all the gear you need. After the safety briefing you have about 2 hours to snorkel with the crew serving as lifeguards in the water. It is VERY easy to lose where you are when you've got your head underwater. I appreciated how attentive the crew was to where the four of us were at since there were a few times we needed some gentle guidance out of a harms way (shoreline rocks). The photographer also captures your snorkel sesh. After snorkeling, you're treated to another full meal of noodles and chicken. Followed by anything you might need for a little seasickness to prep for the journey back . My 12 yo son was pretty full at this point and had befriended the captain who let him help get the boat ready for the return trip. That was very cool! The ride home was a bit bumpy (Hurricane Lowell was coming) but Captain Michael did a great job avoiding anything major and even found a pod of dolphins. We also enjoyed the mai tais! Great experience! We will book more tours in the future. I would have booked another snorkeling or sunset tour during this trip but the water quality really deteriorated with the upcoming storm.

The level of service exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly well taken care of throughout the cruise. The four-course meal was stellar and much better than we expected from food served on a boat. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. Between the incredible crew, exceptional service, wonderful food, beautiful ocean views, and Maui sunset, this was the perfect way to end our time in Maui. We couldn't have asked for a better final evening on the island.
