This is a must-do excursion, we had the best day kayaking and snorkeling with Griff as our guide. He really goes out of his way to make it a memorable experience! It's a great tour for both novice and experienced snorkelers. We kayaked for about 40 minutes to get to our snorkeling spot. Griff did a great job of getting us to a spot that wasn't on top of other tour groups. Because of this we were able to see turtles and some other beautiful marine life! After our snorkel we kayaked back to the beach to conclude our tour. Griff had granola bars for everyone to fuel up before the kayak back, which was nice of him! He also provides snorkel gear, life vests, and a wet bag for personal items if needed.

    Perfect day

Tour guide Griff was super knowledgeable and fun, positive vibes all around! Great location and beautiful views. Highly recommend.

Book the kayak and snorkel tour now!! What an incredible experience, and a wonderful way to take in all the beautiful sights and nature of Maui! We cannot say enough how much we loved Griff. He was so knowledgeable (had an answer to the millions of questions my husband had about the islands, culture, politics, ecosystem), so friendly, so funny, and just an all around good guy. He even helped save a turtle caught up in fishing line on our trip!!!! The sights, the company, the experience - just everything is amazing! Thankful for this fun excursion, and for making our honeymoon even more memorable.

Went on a kayak tour to see some whales. I loved that Griff has embraced the culture and language of the islands. The tour was small and personal. Griff was a great guide and taught us a lot about the singer whales. Will definitely be back to do this again.

From the moment we stepped on the raft, the crew made safety and comfort a top priority--clear instructions, secure seating, and constant check-ins that made everyone feel confident and cared for. The early morning conditions were perfect we watched the full moon set and saw an amazing sunrise. There was calm water, cool air, fewer boats, and incredible whale activity. We saw multiple whales breaching, tail slapping and pectoral fin slapping all while feeling completely safe and well supported. The captain expertly adjusted speed and positioning to match the ocean conditions, which made a huge difference. This tour strikes the perfect balance between excitement and comfort. If you're in your wondering if a raft tour is too intense--don't hesitate. Redline Rafting delivers a thrilling experience without ever feeling rough or unsafe. Truly unforgettable and highly, highly recommend! Date of experience: February 2026

It was a smaller boat but the captain was very laidback and had some corny jokes that were pretty funny. His crew mate was excellent at trying to find us a good snorkeling spot. We still had a wonderful time! Would recommend it to anyone.

Surely, we were surrounded by whales. I went on the 6:45am 2 hour Eco Raft tour. One boat tour holds around 12 persons. The temperature in Maui in February was fantastic, about 65F at night, and 75F at peak of day. It was great value, costing about $111 for the 2 hour tour. Keep in mind, you need to show up 30 minutes before the actual time to fill out waivers, etc. Many whales were a few feet away. There were so many whales! We must have seen 50+ individuals. See my video of baby whale breaching. I didn't capture alot of photos, because I would rather see it with my own eyes. Tip for those traveling in February: it's a peak travel season for Maui, so book your rental cars well in advance 10-12 months ahead. If you book 5-6 months ahead, you won't get any. You may try rental car with Turo, or have to rent E-bike, bike or take Lyft, Uber, etc. Clothing suggestions: depends on the time of day you go. For early mornings, you may wear shorts or long pants, something warm like sweatshirt or I did Patagonia fleece with lightweight Outdoor Research rainjacket on top. Shoes come off, so you will be barefoot on the boat and you will get the shoes back afterwards, so that won't matter. It's kind of windy, so hold on to or get a hat with a string that goes around your neck. Bring sunglasses, and put on sunblock while you're signing the waivers. You will not regret it if you come during whale season!

First off, when booking, I was deciding between this company and another larger boat to snorkel company. I went with this one because of the reviews. They had a ton of 5 star reviews - aka read the reviews, there is a reason why this one has a crap ton of 5 star reviews. I was NOT disappointed at all. We got there, checked in and Joe our guide was so knowledgeable and went over safety. He was extremely clear on instructions and was so nice. We got all our stuff and headed out. Our group had 11 people (which included our family of 4 with a 7 year old that had a hard time keeping the snorkel in his mouth). Joe was extremely patient and kept helping us throughout our experience to get him situated with his gear. During our snorkel one of the members did not listen to instruction and caused a panic moment. Joe handled it very professionally and with the utmost care. He took the safety of the client into priority and also made sure the other clients had a premier experience. He was able to navigate a hard situation and I appauld him for his ability to handle it. While I am not going to go into details about specifics, I can say Joe went above and beyond for us. We didnt expect anything from the situation because we missed 10-15 mins of our tour (the guest who didn't listen to safety and cost us to lose tour time) BUT we got a text from Joe later checking in and making sure we were happy with everything. We couldn't believe it. This small company actually cared enough to check in personally with us later to ensure we were happy and satisfied. They reached out to us and really, truly cared we were taken care of. 100000% customer service. We knew the situation was out of the companies control and was due to a crappy client, but they still went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. No company EVER does this level of customer service. Hats off to Joe and Zephyr. This level of personalized and customer service is not seen anymore. You will NOT regret booking with them.
