I took my car there due to it jerking while I was on the freeway. The engine light wasn't on, and the mechanic didn't get any codes when he hooked it up to the computer. So I was basically told to drive my car until the engine light came on. I just thought that was horrible. I did get a service there before, where I had a battery replaced, that was fine, but now I really don't trust taking my car back there. read more

Daughter took her car to fix a minor issue with her car should have taken a day or two, instead they had her car for 7 days. Very unprofessional for a shop to have someone car that long. I used Maurice shop for 20 years and he worked on many of my cars over the years and I have sent family members to his shop but I will never use his services ever again. Maurice has no professionalism about himself nor the shop, instead of trying to resolve the situation he rather lose business from a customer and family members that have used him for years. I served my country and when I find someone who I trust, I continue to return but as of today Maurice will never have a opportunity for my business again. Ultimately did not get vehicle repaired. I guess he was not happy with the fact that we were not going to get it repaired there. Kept increasing originally stated pricing. Appears to have damaged vehicle. Smh read more

Overall he was very helpful for my last minute car trouble and insightful, and got my car fixed right on up! My engine light came on when I visiting Dallas, I had intended to go back home that day but home was a 3hrs trip. I got it tested at an O'reillys so I was prepared what I was in need of (to curb my car trouble panic) I had called surrounding auto shops after researching them a bit, seeing if they could see me that day and took a chance on Maurice's. The call could have been more pleasant, it was a little rough, but he was willing to squeeze me in to take a look in a couple hours from the time I called. I arrive and once he tested to see what's wrong, I had to find the part I needed because he didn't have it on hand and the person he called who could help him with it wouldn't be able to get it that day. The other employees also informed me on another issue and were honest with me telling me that I would be able to make my trip home, instead of pressuring me to fix it then and there. It was starting to get close to closing time, but he was willing to stay and help me if I got the part. So rushing around to auto parts stores close by, didn't have it, but their Autozone down the road a little bit further, had that part, the last one at that. He installs it and it's defective... great. He shows me a website for auto parts where they show the ones of best quality comparable to original, plus the price point for them. It was getting closer to closing time. I ended up having to get the part from the dealership down the road, that luckily was not closed just yet. They stayed a bit and installed it, showing me the results of the engine testing again for the sensor, FIXED! He ensured me that if there were any issues while I was still in town, I could come back for him to take another look. I was expecting it spend a lot but it was decent especially compared to the dealership where I would have paid at least damn near double for everything, especially on a time crunch like that. read more

I took my bmw x1 for a tune up, and was told, he change oil do a bmw check of vehicle. He had my car for 4 days. When I pick vehicle up, it was not tuned up, with engine light on, running rough and missing. he said he would correct, so just beware of this shop. Accell shops in Dallas/Plano are the best to work on bmw,and charge reasonable price for repair. Very disappointed in this shop,and Maurice. Terrible experience. read more

have a 2008 Acura MDX and it was just serviced at Maurices. I am a mechanic myself but this this the only place that I trust to do the big jobs. Just had my timing belt serviced, along with all the necessary seals. He allows his customers to bring their own parts and he will just charge for labor. Other places I called were 1.5x as high for labor and 3x as high If they get the parts for you. I have referred people to him and will continue to do so. $350 out the door for labor is a great deal. He will also give you your old parts back so you can get a peice of mind that the work was actually done. read more

I took my van there for a certain repair and got it back with it needing several more. I've had the van for years with no problem until I needed the timing belt changed but after I got it back I started having more problems each time I took it there (3 times). I took my van to another mechanic who was honest and he showed me what Maurice's mechanics had done. He fixed the problems for a very reasonable amount and I have not had any more problems since.
