The estimate was different than the actual price but my friend was able to comprise to a more reasonable price. I did a bit of research of different car shop reviews and I read a lot of complaints, not many people appeared satisfied with the service but now that I have some actual experience in seeing a how car repair shop operates. I feel it is appropriate to take those reviews with a grain of salt. Treat people how you want to be treated and you will receive good service. My friend and I were in a pickle of a situation. Our car broke down and we were on our way back home to Canada. Our friend referred us to this car repair shop. It was the only place still open on a Sunday in Queens. I can't say enough how amazing this repair shop is. They treat you with respect and are upfront and honest with you about every aspect of your repair. They recommend services to do and NOT do, which is such a comfort. They also do a great job in doing the work that they need to do. They do not rip you off or overcharge you. Came in the first week of June 2017 to get my dads 1971 monte carlo repaired. the roof had some holes to which the manager (he passed away, RIP Mike) gave me a quote of $750.00. during the fixing of the car i called to get an estimate on the drivers side quarter panel, and the owner now handling the cars work said $250.00 so, i told him i would get back to him if i wanted the job done. i told Jack the owner the car was not needed right away but after a month I called to see how the car was doing then after a month and a half started asking for the car and the finish date kept getting pushed forward. I finally got work the car was finished the week of August 14 i went to pay for the car and the windshield was cracked by the shop to which he warned me that it could crack when they tried removing it so they can fix the windshield channels and that i had agreed upon in the beginning that it could break. I told them to install a new windshield and the car was kept almost another week, on one phone call, the owner said i had forgotten to pay for the quarter panel repair, i told him i only had called for a quote then he said i am not going to argue for that. so i come in on Aug 22,2017 to pick up the car i paid for the windshield and I start looking at the quarter panel, and it has a row of new dings that he made because i supposedly did not pay for the "authorized" repair. i called him that day and he basically didnt want to hear anything i had to say i told him why would i lie about a repair, my father did not have money for the repair why would i authorize something i did not want, i am a man of my word i told him and he said obviously not, insinuating i am a liar. this is supposed to be the owner of a shop, he obviously does not care about customer service. the car was left a complete mess, yes the car is under restoration but it was not cleaned or wiped. the trim pieces were never re installed, they left a part that belongs to another car inside my car. the roof of the car is all wavy. body work was horrendous. I spoke to a few people about the shop and they have had horrible stories with them. very very unprofessional shop. the people that do the shop reviews are all his friends. read more

This is a great repair shop. They are honest, fast, and kind. I've gotten taken advantage of by mechanics before because I'm a woman and I go alone, but that has never been a worry the couple times I've come here. For instance, the first time I came in because my check engine light came on. They advised me against doing the expensive, non-urgent repair (it's a very old car I don't plan to have much longer) and did not charge me for diagnosing the problem. It would have been easy to tell me I needed the repair and charged an arm and a leg; I wouldn't have known better. Both the clientele and the receptionist are friendly and conversational, which really puts me at ease in an environment where I usually feel way out of my element. read more

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon with a car I was considering buying. They took a look at it for me, put it on the lift, etc., and were able to give me a straightforward, quick, and comprehensive rundown of the condition of everything from brakes to belts, hoses, tires/alignment, and more. One of the best auto shops ever. No, seriously. This place is a hidden gem. I can't believe they don't have more reviews. These people know what they're doing, especially the woman up front-she's so knowledgeable! They really go above and beyond to make sure your car is okay, and don't even charge you for the extra stuff. I recently went there for an issue and they ran some tests and told me my battery may be bad but it's still under warranty from the place where I got it from, and that I should check with them regarding a replacement. They didn't even charge me for diagnostics. The owner can seem a bit rough around the edges, haha, but the woman in the front is so sweet!!! Sometimes the shop seems really busy and you may have to wait a while, but trust me it's definitely worth it. They will take their time with you, explain everything well and will make sure you understand the issue. I will be back!! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. Dropped my car off on a Wednesday for an ac charge. Was told on Thursday they were backed up and it would be looked at Friday. Went there to have a side view mirror reattached that was knocked off but not damaged. They did it in a few minutes at a minimal charge. Very good place that I have used before, and being open on Sundays is an extra plus. read more
