I normally go out of my way to avoid it but my kids asked for Taco Bell tonight and I obliged. 38 minutes! 38 minutes from the time I ordered to the time we got our food. 2 of the food items were cold and completely inedible. 2 items were wrong. I mean they often get it wrong and it's not big deal but the one which mattered was my kids food with a dairy allergy and their food came drenched in dairy/sour creme. Nice. There's a level of complete apathy and incompetence from franchise ownership that is second to none. They were completely understaffed probably to save a buck and the staff clearly have been trained to prioritize DoorDash orders as they made several of those orders while we sat in the restaurant like idiots waiting nearly 40 mins for cold food. All I can say is this disastrous experience is perfectly on brand for Taco Bell and reinforces my efforts to avoid patronizing them whenever possible.

We pulled up to the drive-thru around 8:30pm, and their posted closing time is 9pm. We were told they were only making carne asada fries because they were closing soon. I asked for a simple bean and cheese burrito--something that's arguably easier and quicker to make--but the worker responded, "Nope No No," in a rude tone. I understand places get busy or want to start closing procedures, but if your hours say you're open until 9, customers should still be able to order from the menu until then. It felt more like they just didn't want to make anything else and were trying to wrap up early. The food itself is okay, but for what's supposed to be one of the only Mexican options around, it's just not worth dealing with repeated mistakes and disrespectful service. (And they were just either white mushrooms or Cremini.) The scrambled eggs (scrambled eggs?!) were COLD and unappetizing. The sautéed onions were cold. And of course, the ice berg lettuce (lettuce?!) was cold. Cold, mostly non-authentic or traditional ingredients. After eating half of it, I did not finish it. My friend offered me one of his 5 piece drumsticks. They were HUGE. I joked that he ordered turkey legs instead. The chicken was good. I'd give it 4 stars. My meal was brought out to me. Thanks! I asked if there were chopsticks. He pointed them out to me as he was returning to behind the counter, passing them along the way.
