Not knowing what type of a restaurant it is, I decided to stop in. What a pleasant surprise. It was a Turkish restaurant. There was a good amount of people in there, but it looked like I was the only "white boy." Everybody was very friendly, and the place was clean. I liked the atmosphere. I started with the baba ghanoush. I loved it. The flavor of the roasted eggplant was delicious. And the roasted flavor kept it from being too rich. It was creamy and delicious. I almost didn't have enough bread to put it on. And believe me, I was piling the bread high with that stuff. There was also a small bowl of marinated green olives on the side. I normally do not like green olives, but these were fantastic. The olive oil marinade kept them from being too bitter for me. For my main course, I had the Adana kebab. Ground lamb, red bell pepper, and paprika. I had a small, which was one kebab. It also came with a very nice marinated salad, and a decent size portion of rice, which was tender and had a good flavor to it. It also came with a red sauce and a tzatziki sauce.. the red sauce was too spicy for me, and the tzatziki I put some of it on the rice, and then the rest I dipped my kebab. The kebab wasn't spicy at all, and the red bell pepper, and the paprika gave it a great flavor, it was not gamey like lamb can be. It was also very tender. Everything was so good, I ended up finishing the entire dinner, and I was stuffed. I would've loved to try a Turkish coffee, but it was like 8 PM, and I didn't want to be up for the rest of the night... :). The price was reasonable. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because they add an automatic 18% gratuity to the check, and then there's also a spot down at the bottom for a second gratuity. That's why you need to read your check very carefully. If you don't notice the automatic gratuity, you might end up paying a double tip. I thought the automatic 18% gratuity was more than fair. This was a great place. They also do breakfast. I would like to come in and try breakfast sometime. Thank you.

The restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated right away. The booth and chairs where they sat us were extremely dirty- they could definitely use a cleaning. I also noticed there was a bunch of food under our table, there was condensation marks on the table and they definitely didn't clean it after the last group before us. It all kind of skeeved me out but we stayed. We placed our food order. We never were offered water. I asked for a soda and they brought me just a can, I had to ask for a cup of ice and waters. The service was not overly attentive. They barely came over to us. I needed something so I had to walk up near the register to get their attention. A bunch of the workers were standing together it took one a minute to notice me. I got the chicken shish- some pieces of chicken were very chewy I couldn't eat them. Others were okay. I did enjoy the rice it came with. Ultimately, I just think for how empty it was we should've gotten a little bit better service.

There hookah was bussin' you can tell they know what the're doing back there. Besides the good hookah I tried there food. They brought it out with some delicious rice and well season salad. Well I would say well dressed salad. The wings was nice big juicy, not fried but something straight off the grill. I don't know our server's name but the check was identified as server 12, well, Miss 12 was great, she was friendly and attentive, warm and professional. The food was very good. We ordered lentil soup, fried calamari, lamb dumplings for the appetizers and the salmon kebabs and grilled Branzino both were served with rice and salad. The only thing I would not order again is the lamb dumplings, they were cooked well but lacked flavor. The summary is I would recommend Grand Sahara. Happy dining

I usually get their Gobit Wrap to eat there or Doner Plate to go because they're so good. Everything here is so reasonably priced compared to other parts of the city.
