Lovely place! The decor and the service was amazing, the food and the care they give is just lovely! We had dietary restrictions and they went above and beyond to make sure they were met. Such a great team working there. Thank you such a warm & lovely meal!

The food was delicious, we had the cold mix appetizer, all were so yummy!!! My favorite was the babaghanoush. My boyfriend loved the humus, he is very picky and tried everything and enjoyed it all. Falafel appetizer was so lightly fried and crisp and the taste well that was my favorite!! For our Entree we shared the Zara Mixed Grill the rice is so good, all of the meats were tender and seasoned deliciously. The balloon bread is unbelievable!! You can tell the food was freshly made and not sitting around! I can not stop thinking about the falafel, so good. Staff was all friendly and worked as a team. We were checked on numerous times. The place has a very casual, and friendly environment for our date night and they even dimmed the lights and sang happy birthday to a large group. We will definitely be back or order soon!

Every time we eat here or get take-home, we all agree that the food here is fresh. It's not only fresh, it's absolutely delicious. From the salads, to the bread, to the mains. Even the little salad that comes with the take out meal is fresh, mixed well and delicious. (See pic) I would've posted pics of the mains, but was too hungry. The portions are more than generous. The staff is friendly & helpful, whether in person or over the phone. The place is physically immaculate. The price is fair. We pay less here than any of the diners, and get far better food. Can't recommend this place highly enough. We've frequented this location and the one on Hylan Blvd. Both are amazing. We'll keep coming back.

The ambiance in this restaurant reminds me of Mediterranean style decor. Seating is very comfortable and authentic. The service from Teresa was fine but the food is outstanding. Always fresh and delicious. We had the hummus and falafel. We will definitely be back.

Yet another great experience at Zara. This was our first time trying the new location and it is very cozy. Inside you can see the fire in the oven while you are eating and it looks very comforting. The wall decor is nicely painted onto the walls and is not overbearing. The food was excellent and the service was very good as always. My girlfriend ordered the Adana kebab platter and I ordered the iskender kebab platter and both were excellent. My girlfriend always gets the Sheppard salad and it's her favorite thing and I enjoy it as well. The complementary bread and olives are also very nice and always fresh out of the oven. If you are in the mood for Mediterranean food I always recommend Zara

I ordered the Seafood boil (Wild Crab Sauce-medium spicy--head on shrimp, mussels, crawfish, snow crab legs, corn & eggs) however when I opened the bag--they gave me potatoes as well which was nice of them to add. The smell was sooo good! The sauce was amazing. Next time I'll order it a little bit more spicier. Only thing is the crawfish were super small--could be cause wasn't in season, but I'll be back to try more of the menu. If you want seafood, come here! Definitely worth a try.

Anyway the service was great we sat down and the menu has plenty of options. I have been craving wings, so wings I had (the garlic flavor) super crispy and flavorful. Then I tried the seafood ramen with chicken broth, It could've used a little more flavor but I added some eel sauce and it hit the spot. Finished with the small seafood broil (definitely shareable ) with shrimp mussels Dungeness crab noodles broccoli and an egg in the wild crab sauce--- didn't disappoint. We also tried the teas which they'll make to your sweetness preference. Psssst.... Super affordable as well. I'll see you there.

Interior design is so aesthetically pretty and provides a wonderful and elegant dining experience!…read moreThe service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

They had the grilled watermelon salad and beets apps also delicious . Bronzino that was given was a hearty amount. The drinks were on point. They sang happy birthday and even though the kitchen was closed they made sure we didn't feel rushed or pressured. Can't wait to come try more and to get the soup again. See you there

Not sure why gratuity is being auto-added for a party of four to begin with. More importantly, when that's the case, it's standard practice to clearly inform the customer and give them the option to add more if they choose. Our waitress never mentioned it at all--I only noticed after getting home and reviewing the receipt. Not a huge loss financially, but it's the kind of thing that costs a business repeat customers.

We've been to Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood (Staten Island) for both lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat,…read moreand the experiences were honestly very different. Lunch all-you-can-eat was amazing. Our waitress was outstanding since it was our first visit, she took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole experience feel welcoming and smooth. The custom seafood bags with mixed seasoning were delicious and full of flavor. The sides really stood out: the fried shrimp were huge, crispy, and perfectly cooked, the fried fish was good, and the calamari was light and crispy. The only letdown was the crab fries, which were disappointing considering how much fresh seafood they offer they used imitation crab, which felt out of place. Dinner all-you-can-eat, on the other hand, was less impressive. Dinner is about $20 more and includes the raw bar and snow crab legs, and while the food itself was still very good, the service was extremely slow. Getting our server's attention was difficult at times, even though there were plenty of servers working. We were only able to order a few seafood bags before being told we were out of time. We were 4 adults. Portions at dinner were also noticeably smaller than lunch portions, and overall it just didn't feel worth the higher price. I understand dinner is busier, but based on our experience, the lunch all-you-can-eat is absolutely the better value. For an additional cost, you can still add crab legs and raw bar items during lunch, making it a much better overall experience. Recommendation: Go for lunch all-you-can-eat great service, generous portions, and excellent food. Dinner all-you-can-eat could be improved, especially in service and pacing.

We sat inside with a beautiful view of the water. The vibe is quiet, waterfront and a little upscale, although with three kids, I'm pretty sure we were the ambiance that night . Our servers have known us for years and the service was great as always. We ordered approximately 7,000 appetizers lol. The rice balls are a MUST. They're small, crispy, served with honey and one of our favorites. Honestly, order your own because you're not going to want to share. The crispy rice with tuna was also outstanding--fresh tuna piled on top of perfectly crispy rice. We also had baked clams, flatbread, a summer salad and house salad, and everything was fresh and good. For my entrée, I got the zuppa di pesce with the spice held. The seafood was fresh without tasting fishy at all, and the tomato-garlic broth was delicious. The portion was HUGE. I'd absolutely order it again, but next time I'm sharing it with someone... especially after my 7,000 appetizers. Around the table, everyone was happy. The blackened mahi-mahi with coconut rice was delicious, the veal chop special was so tender my dad practically licked the plate clean, the penne vodka with shrimp was excellent, and the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes were a hit too. Even the kids were covered with chicken tenders, fries and buttered pasta. We finished with crème brûlée, chocolate and vanilla ice cream, lemon sorbet and raspberry sorbet. No complaints anywhere! It's definitely on the pricier side, but the waterfront view, consistently good food and wonderful service are why we've been coming here for years.
