My 2024 Honda pilot needed service. I generally would go to the dealer with my new car, for warranty and scheduled mileage check ups.' This time I needed an oil change and frankly didn't have time to make an appt and drive to the dealer. My nephew uses crown tire for everything. He mentioned to me I should give it a try .'I called. No appt needed especially if you come in early AM. I did . Wanted oil change, tire rotation and balance, 3 windshield wipers and the dealer said change the brake fluid. Well Crain said no brake fluid needed to change, as a matter of that was rare he said. We dropped off the car and everything was Complete as requested.'and the price was super reasonable. As a matter of fact when I picked up the pilot and went my FIL was there .'I told him what was done and the cost. He was WOW. After speaking with the owner Jeff sort of late in the day before his closing time.He was extremely generous with his time asking questions to get me to the right tire for my GMC Terrain.. For a sudden tire pressure decreasing drastically, we figured we might run into a bad nail. First we called Audi service center, it turned out we must have appointment and we won't have our car back on the same day. It clearly didn't work for us, as we need to use the car the next day. As we were anxiously looking for the closest tire service before the tire ran completely flat, we found Crown Tire! Price is reasonable as $38, and time for patching the whole was about 30 min, and we were assured to drive home after the fix. I have to admit, while I sat down in the waiting area, my heart finally returned to normal beating... if the tire must be deflected, it can do so now. Ha! The tech came out explaining there were total 2 nails, one about 3 inches, and the other smaller one, and both were took out with the tire patched and ready to hit the road. The staffs were friendly and patient, and flexible to work with your concerns. The waiting area and bathroom are neat and clean. read more

Really pleased with my service. My local service station that my family has used for 35 years sent us here for tires. They were very helpful and patient with me, because let's face it I have no clue about tires. They recommended a great tire and had it on my car with alignment and balancing in an hour. I arrived on Saturday to have a tire patched. He told me that it would 1.5 to 2 hours. I was going to leave it but then realized it wouldn't work. I asked him if it would be done by 3. He said, " if you can tell me how long the 17 jobs ahead of you will take, then I can tell you when it will be done. We're not a coffee shop and morning isn't our best time. If you want to laugh, come here in the morning and see how many people have a problem with a tire and want it fixed right away." There was no reason to be nasty. That the nature of the business. Lots of people have problems with their tires. I went somewhere else and was treated nicely and they appreciated my business. I won't be back. read more

I did not have a positive experience at Crown Tires. It came to my attention after having my car detailed that all four tires I had just replaced had been mounted incorrectly. I then took my car to my auto dealership to have them take a look. Not only were they mounted incorrectly, but they also crossed-threaded one of the wheel bolts and broke a second bolt. The dealership then had to perform a repair to the threading in the hub and had to install two new bolts.  They also mounted the tires correctly.  I explained the issues and showed Crown Tires the video of the mistakes from the dealership service, and they gave me a hard time about their mistakes. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to reimburse me for their mistakes.  I was very disappointed with my entire experience. I would not recommend Crown Tires. read more

I will never go to this place again, first time I had a had a bad experience I figured let me go again and maybe it will be better, they talk to you like you're stupid. Schooling me that I should check my tire pressure everyday and that if I read my car Manuel it would of taught me that....Who does that. Had an unexpected blowout, and a local Independent Shop referenced me to Crown.......Had lengthly discussion about my replacement tire with the owner. Tires arrived the next day. I was in by 10 and out by 11:30 for four tire replacement..........Service great. Staff great!........As a former Dealer Principal, of a Porsche Dealer, I know the complexities of running a service business. The young man mounting my tires, checked with me on the tire pressure, as he knew Porsche clients are a bit exacting. Total experience was actually great!.......Only suggestion. Mounting tires iss a dirty business. I would suggest that as each tire mounted, the Tech spary them to clean the accummulated dirt on the wheels (Maybe it is just a Porsche thing).......Just great service and a nice experience as the owner told me about the various organizations he contributes to....Fire Dept, locaal PBA, training program for students etc.........This is the type of business we need! Do you notice either this place gets 5 stars or 1 star. Here's my observation of Crown Tire the owner or boss is very full of himself and either he's a complete ass or just unaware of how gruff and condescending he appears to be. This isn't my first bad experience at this shop but I've done business with them in the past and I can say they cater to the desperate. Most recently I visited for a simple wheel swap and the installation of 1" wheels spacers. I was informed that spacers are illegal. This is a falsehood, I checked and no such law prohibits the use of wheel spacers. Equally it is illegal and a federal offense to ship a prohibited product into the state. Why would a vender open themselves up for prosecution to sell a producer to me? When does a tire shop proprietor have time to get a law degree? The "boss" told me he'd only do a cash deal so he can skirt liability when my wheels come flying off my vehicle. Nice bedside manner!!! Sorry bro you are full of crap by lying about the law now how can I trust you with my vehicle if you are willing to break your fictitious law for cash. Oh by the way they charge $30 per wheel twice what Costco charges to mount and balance a tire. Did I mention Costco offers this service for free if you bought your tires there originally. Costco also provides nationwide tire service for the lifetime of the tires! I suggest after reading my review you shy away from this place unless you need a used tire. Just hope the Johnny Cochran of cars isn't there to overcharge our under rate you. read more

Service, great! Price, great! Work: Replace 4 tires on a Civic 2012 Jeff was a great help, and totally worth a few extra miles to drive to. I've been looking online with a lot of skepticism at Costco, Midas, and other chains. A friend highly recommended this place. I am not a car guy, and Jeff was personable and patient, explaining my options. I had my car in at the start of the 9th inning and almost out before the inning ended... although there was a grand slam so a little longer than a usual inning... or maybe that was a good omen that I found a great place! I may be a little biased as I just had a terrible experience with a dealership. I had my four tires replaced, in and out, and didn't even have enough time to check how long I've been there. Worst customer service from my first call. I was given an attitude on the phone when I told them I was driving and didn't know my tire size which I guess is my fault but shouldn't have been given an attitude about it. Still, I order my tires from them because I would rather support a small business than go get them from a corporate place. When I got home I realized my tires were inflated to 42 psi and the sticker on my car says 32. I called to see why they were filled to 42 and was told there may have been a malfunction and that I needed to come back. Upon returning I was greeted by the "co-owner" who couldn't have been any more terrible (probably the one I originally talked to on the phone, he must hate his job). I asked him why the tires were filled up to 42 and was told that sometimes their machines are off and started going off on how I shouldn't even be asking him this because they were fixing the pressure at that point. I told him all I was looking for was an apology and he said I didn't deserve one. My cars tires are still at 38 psi. I will never go here again and will instruct others to do the same. read more

We purchased 4 brand new tires from crown tire in port Monmouth location close to a year ago. About a month after the low tire pressure light came on. All 4 tires needed to be inflated. This started happening often. Fast forward to last month and I had a relative (whom is a mechanic) fill the tires and said all 4 stems were badly leaking and you could tell they were never changed out when the original tires were put on. I call Crown tire and they tell me bring it in and they will take a look. I bring it in today, about an hour later I am called to the desk and said ok it's ready. Ready? Yes, it's $106 ...they charge me without even telling me what was wrong in the first place or getting permission to do it! They wouldn't make good for it nor did they even offer a slight discount. Now I go to get into my car and the molding, steering wheel and drivers side mat is covered in black grease!! This is the second time it was covered in grease! The first time was during covid but I gave them a pass due to everyone being so short staffed. I get in the car and drive away and the low tire pressure is STILL on!!!! STAY AWAY!!! We have been using them since the 1980's. Unfortunately these last few years they have gone downhill! read more

Customer service is zero in this place - STAY AWAY. Even thought they have in their own website the ability for you pick and find your selected tires for your particular car, when I called to ask for a quote the imbecilic man who answered the phone said to me that he can't give me a quote without the size info - this because I don't know the size of my tires at the time of the call. The better way to handle this would've been to simply ask me for the type of car, make , year and so forth. Business must be good so they don't need to take an extra step, and they don't need to be bothered. Well, I will take my cars somewhere else and will surely tell my wife that she is wrong along with the other friends who should not go to you moving forward. As a woman, when you go into a car place, you're immediately nervous that you're going to get taken advantage of. But with Crown Tire - they are 100% honest, don't try to rip you off and clearly explain things. If you have a question, they don't look at you like you're dumb - they will take you in the garage, show you exactly what they're talking about until you understand. Their prices are also SUPER fair. Went to replace 2 tires and a tire pressure sensor, charged me over $400 for shitty tires that wore in 6 months and I barely drive. And removed the wrong perfectly good tire sensor and replaced it with just a rubber stem, went back to get it done right and tried telling me I was wrong when I work on cars myself. Replaced the right one with also a rubber stem and never gave me the $80 for the one that they threw away that was still good. Could go to Costco for a full set of tires of a good brand for way less. They also do repairs, they fixed my Sienna radiator like new and did a great job. I always rely on them for tires and flat repair and they can get any tire in a few hours. I dropped off a tire on the rim to get a patch put on today. When I got home a few hours later I noticed that they chipped the rim in several spots. They put the tires on the rims originally with no damage that time. I wasn't so lucky this time. The damage is $150. It was very busy there today and I told them I was in no rush to get it back since its a summer tire. They got it done today and needless to say they rushed and it's damaged. My advise is if they are busy think twice before letting them work on your car. read more

STAY AWAY. This place is a complete rip-off. I had scheduled a simple oil change and asked them to check my brakes. Something that should be no more than 100 bucks. They said it'd be 45 mins tops. I left my car there and had my friend give me a ride. I passed by twice and saw my car sitting there, untouched during a three hour stretch. I came back in the afternoon and was told my car needed (a 2014 car, by the way) more than $2,000 in repairs and charged me $600 for "the work". Work I was never told would be done. I needed an oil change and for them to "check the brakes". By the way, the extra "work" wasn't even related to either oil nor brakes. They are rude, rude, rude and dishonest at this place. STAY AWAY.
