Contacted Mavis to order some tires to the store to get 4 tires ordered/ installed. Shortly after I placed the order I received a call because the order was created incorrectly for two tires when four were ordered. I was told the order would arrive 11:30 am - 12 pm 4/20/20 and I would receive a call. No call received and I had to call multiple times to see if I could get the services completed. They told by end of the day the work would be completed. Shortly after I was told it would be completed by the following morning at 9 am and I didn't receive any call regarding my vehicle besides to upsell me for additional work after 9 am and the vehicle wasn't completed till noon. I came in for 4 new tires a simple remove and replace job at 9:20 am. At 11:18 am was told that my car would soon be ready that the tech working on my vehicle was pulled away to assist another with replacing an oil filter. At 12:20 pm was asked to step into the service area by the "front desk guy" because the tech who is working on my car recommends new struts and a new suspension. Wow that's amazing also stated that I buy new wipers which I had installed just 2 days before. Then I was told that the tires I ordered on line and was quoted at 560 will now run me 700. This place is total bait and switch. The time is now 12:30 and my new tires are still lying on the ground. All I want are my tires. Just put them on ring me up and let me get on with my day. Oh and I'm not alone there are 6 other people here waiting on there cars as well. All cars up in the air with no tires on and the mechanics are eating their lunches now. read more

After reading the reviews I decided to give them a shot. One of the reviews said something about them damaging the bottom2side skirt from the lift. So I decided to take pictures and look at my car before bringing it in. With today's world you need proof of everything. I get my car back and paid for the bill. Drive home which is 2 minutes away. Look over my car and what do you know. My car is damaged in all 4 spots where they put the car on the lift. It's just mind blowing that highered technicians do not know how to put a car on a lift. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE! Went in for a tire replacement (under warranty) and NYS Inspection. While car was in, was told brakes were bad (they were not as the dealer tested them and were fine. Had rotars replaced. Then, battery mysteriously "died" and couldn't get jumped. Had to buy a new battery. Then, NYS Inspection could not be performed immediately cause the printer wasnt working. Drive out with no inspection sticker on the car and told to come back later. $400+ later and thoroughly disgusted! NEVER NEVER NEVER Will I come back to you!!!! read more

So Upon reading reviews one might be unsure and look for another shop yet I'll share with yall my experience. We came in for a tire alignment, upon scheduling appointment I was told it's a reservation. Once arrived, Greeted by Felicia, handed over the keys, was offered a free brake check and was informed id receive a call within the morning. As stated I did receive a call just an hour and half later and was out the door when Wayne from the team approached me to mention my brakes were not check but offered to have them checked and did it right on the spot. Now to me this was not a worry rather glad for their professionalism. I Hit the road and did notice the alignment was off. I Reached out to Wayne and they corrected the issue. Visited this Mavis twice recently. First time, dropped off my car, they said they would get to as soon as they could, I said "no rush, I wont need it until tomorrow". Got a call the next day saying they couldn't inspect the car because the battery was dead. Went to pick the car up, they didn't know why no one called the day before when they realized the battery was dead. Didn't understand why a shop like that wouldn't have jumped the battery and at least tried, but I just took the car and left. FYI, the computer had not been re-set like they claimed and it was inspected in under and hour at another shop near by. The next visit, I went in and was told it was too busy so I made an appointment for Saturday, the put me in the computer and I brought the car in at 9 Saturday morning. They called a little after 2PM telling me my car needed 4 tires, struts and a rear break job. They wouldn't inspect the vehicle with out the breaks, so I initially said to go ahead, but as the man on the phone was adding the costs, it rose to $800 so I told him to forget it, I would pick the car up. I took the car to another station today and it passed with no recommendations, not even the rear breaks. I understand up-selling, but buyer beware here. read more

DON'T bother making an appointment. they follow no such schedule. Made appt for 9:00 am Sunday morning, showed up at 8:45 only to find out that there was a line 8 people deep. some had an appt at 9 others where walk-ins. it did not matter. left car, said I would be back in a bit, they said they would call me when its ready. at 2:00pm (5 hours later) I called them to ask if my car was ready. it was not, was told there was one ahead of mine, shocker. also, the tires that I picked out on-line, where not in stock, so why bother. when asked what is a comparable tire. was told another brand. took a while for me to find that tire on the Mavis site to look up the reviews. because I was not about to drop $800 with out seeing what the reviews where for that tire. turned out not so good. so spent the next 5 min there trying to find reviews for tires that they did have in stock. after a bit of that, he decided to look up the website on his computer so that I could see the reviews. Hey Mavis at Newburgh, you should have 2 lines, one for those who make an appointment and show up on time, and a second for walk-ins. hint: take care of those who actually plan out their day by making appointments first, then walk-ins if you have free time. i know this is a new store, but Mavis should screen the managers better before hiring them. not satisfied read more

WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE!!! I made an appointment at 3 o'clock, sat there for an hour and nobody told me how long it would be. Ended up leaving and called at 5 and was told it would be a couple hours. Called back at 7:40 and was told it would be done at 8:15. I had an appointment to get my car inspected. After waiting for an hour they came out and told me they could not do it because they were out of "stickers". Such a complete waste of my time. I bought an expensive battery from this store around a year ago. Recently my dash was showing "low battery," so I had them test it. The test indicated that the health of the battery was good, and that it was in need of a charge. So, here's the kicker, they wouldn't charge it they told me "because they don't charge batteries." So, here's my issue with this place. They were only too happy to sell me an expensive battery, but they weren't interested enough to service it when it was still under warranty. Based on the other reviews, I saved myself and my wallet a really bad headache. I was about to spend over $1200.00 on truck tires at the Newburgh, NY location and visited their hide-and-seek website. I look up a set of tires print out prices and next thing I know the tires are no longer listed on their site. I figured it was a glitch so I called (Thurs. 5/28/20 @ 01:43 pm) and spoke to Dorella who took my number, name, tire info and told me she would call me back shortly after contacting the manufacturer distributor. She further stated that they no longer carry the tires on their site for some unknown reason. I ended up calling back at 4:30 pm and had Dev leave a message to be called back. Five minutes later Dorella calls me back, I asked her about my requested tires but she has no idea what I'm talking about. To make matters worse, she's now offering me some crappy tires I never wanted in the first place. I hung up and took my business to Tire Discount Center in Middletown, NY. Big Shout Out to Mavis Discount Tire for being the biggest Jerk Offs in Orange County ! I took my car there yesterday to get new tires . After waiting HOURS I got a ride and left the car . Soon after I received a call from them telling me all my Lug Nuts needed to be replaced . I questioned how that was possible and was informed it would be dangerous because the tire could fall off . When I got there to pick up my car I asked to see my old lug nuts and sure enough "they were thrown out and the trash was removed for the day" . Not only was I charged an additional $5.00 per lug nut (5 lug nuts per tire)they claimed their printer was broke and couldn't give me a receipt !! The extremely unprofessional girl behind the counter on the business' phone on a personal phone call (all could hear) refused to get help to fix the "printer problem" to give me a receipt . I was paying cash, did they seriously think I was going to walk out without a Receipt ? I will never return to this establishment again ! The worst service ever. My husband took his truck in due to a flat tire and needed to buy 4 new tires. After waiting 6 hours for what should have been a 1 hour job, he still needs to bring the car back for the alignment since the tech went home at 6 pm and the clerk had to finish the job two hours later. My husband needed his truck for our family business and lost a half a day worth of jobs. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Would not recommend and will never do business with Mavis again. read more

Stay away from this location. About a month ago, my TPMS light came on. Right rear tire low at 28psi (33psi is normal). Since temps. were cold, I inflated to 33 psi. About 2 weeks later, light illuminates. I removed tire and applied Leak Tec to all areas and check for leaks. Found a very slow leak in tread due to small screw. I installed tire and drove car to Mavis Newburgh and advised them of the issue. About 2 hours later, they were done. I specifically asked if they plug or patch and the manager said they used a plug and seal the inside. About 2 weeks later, same tire, same scenario. I remove the tire and find they never removed the screw!! This time I bring only the tire in at 9:00am and explain the issue. I go to pick up tire st 4:30 and it is sitting next to the customer desk right where I left it. Service Manager says "paperwork" got lost. Really?? The tire is staring at you all day and you come up with that excuse? They repair the tire and the Tech shows me the 2" long screw he pulled out of tire.
