The delay in leaving this review is by no means due to the service; rather, my very hectic schedule. Couple weeks back I was visiting my daughter and her family there in Norwich. The day I was to drive the 11hrs back to Charlotte, my Mercedes let out an Alarming Scraping sound, less than 5 mins into my journey. If not for MAVIS, their policy of Open on Sunday and the dedication from the Staff, headed up by John the location's Mgr., the event might well have been a more inconvenient issue. Big ups for the entire team in taking several avenues to find the source, then reracking the vehicle twice to listen and analyze, ultimately finding the source of the issue... all to ensure my safe return home. My issue held up two others customers and I insisted John allow me to pay for their repairs (both were inspections). He said he would do nothing of the sort and informed me MAVIS would cover their needs. This is the kind of service, dedication and command of the craft, sorely missing from our culture today! I'm from out of town and I had a flat tire on a Sunday morning in Walton and they took the car in and replaced the tire super quick. The assistant managers up front were very accommodating and moved the process along quickly. The mechanic put the donut back up under the car which is a pain. Excellent service and employees!! I had a leaking tire and they fixed it. I haven't had anymore issues!

My gf took her car here for inspection and they failed her, took her sticker and told her she needed 1300$ dollars in work to pass. She called me almost crying, and when she told me they said she needs brake pads and rotors all the way around I knew they were trying to get her since i did the brakes not long enough ago they'd fail. They told her she needed new tires which the back were brand new almost and the front had some wear but not enough to fail that's for sure. I got my money back once I sent the regional manager the pictures of the pads with 50% life left. he tried singing some tune as too why the tire needed to be replaced, but when I took the car next day to a REAL mechanic the tires passed inspection with flying colors! They pulled all 4 tires and told her that it's policy for inspection when in fact its nys policy to do 1. These people try to take advantage of who they see as vulnerabl and it's a joke! read more

Had an alignment done on my car here they adjusted the toe and I expressed my issue with it having excessive camber they said the camber was not adjustable due to it being and independent front and rear suspension and it was an issue due to spring sag mind you this is a 2020 sedan I went to a different mechanic and the rear of the vehicle was able to be adjusted and the front was able too with a couple aftermarket bolts but none of this was expressed to me with mavis all in all the employees are disrespectful and mouthy the manager gets pushed around by them the entire time I was there the manager was battling back and forth arguing with the employees and they weren't busy at all I think they job they performed on my vehicle was half assed read more

My gf had taken her car to get an oil change and tire rotation. When she arrived home I noticed the new set of tires were still on the rear and not rotated to the front so as a mechanicly inclined person I checked the oil filter. Its one of those drop in kind not the screw on and sure enough they had not changed it. They did change the oil however. When I went back they swore up and down that they did the work they billed me for and that I was wrong. But after I mentioned the fact that I was a mechanic in the Army for four years they changed tunes and agreed to "redo" the work for free. I expect most chain shops to screw up major repairs but not a simple oil change. One star bonus for eventually doing the work Ipayed for. read more

I DO NOT recommend them. Terrible customer service and beyond rude. My daughter had 2 brand new Hankook tires from them, she has a bubble on one of the tires now. We have called and they will NOT replace tire because she did not purchase the extended tire warranty. Well first off she wasn't offered it and 2nd tires come with a limited warranty on their own. The tires are way under a yr old. They were rude to her when she had them put and they refuse to help regardless. I will be taking this issue as far as I can with Mavis. Alot of people i have talked to have nothing good to say about them. So let's be clear Mavis Tire in Norwich is rude and has no customer service skills. Woth that being said, if anyone wants to have anything dine to your car I'd rethink it and go to somewhere else. read more

Ordered tires waited for them to be delivered multiple days later and dropped car off. Got a call telling me they didn't have 4 of the tires I ordered, because they were discontinued, and waited for but they could definitely sell me these other more expensive tires. Told them no ordered the same tires for about $15 cheaper per tire at Walmart and had them installed at Walmart. Nothing about the tires being discontinued anywhere on the internet either by the way. Firestone winterforce 2. Before this my wife purchased tires in April 2019 had them mounted balanced and an alignment done. The front 2 tires are worn bald on one side Mavis response is it's our fault because they were never rotated. The tires have less than 15k miles on them. Yes they should have been rotated once but there is no way they should be completely ruined and Mavis solution to "help me out" is sell me some new tires that they will generously give me a discount on. Avoid these con artists. You can find the same tires cheaper elsewhere anyway. read more
