Everyone at this location was fantastic ! Mark the manager and the super nice and helpful young woman behind the counter went out of their way to accommodate me. They got me a great price for two new Michelins (I usually order from Tire Rack) and also new windshield wiper blades. On Friday, I called and asked to change my appointment from Sunday to Saturday. Mark said no problem, especially if I could get in early. Everything went great. I will absolutely be using this Mavis Tire in the future. I forgot to mention that I had pulled in the previous weekend with 4 nails in a rear tire. They found the problem, installed my spare and went through all of my replacement options ALL for no charge. Went to Mavis in Lakewood Ranch this am to have them look at a tire I was having an issue with. I half expected them to sell me some new tires or tell me that my old tires needed replacing. Instead the simply fixed my tire, told me my tires were fine and had more life in them. 44 dollars and an hour of my time I was on my way. I've been going to Mavis since I lived in NJ and now here in Fla. They have always been incredibly honest and reliable. I would highly recommend Mavis for any tire needs. read more

I came in here for brakes, rotors, and new tires and I feel like I got a pretty good deal for all the work that was done. When I picked up my car I had 2 lights on that were not there when I dropped off my car (brake light and brake pads light). I called Mavis and explained the situation and they said bring it in and they will take care of it. The gentleman at the front desk (I think his name was Mike) called me later in the day and said they had 3 separate sensors delivered and they were all the wrong ones, but he assured me he would get the right one and replace it the next day. Wasn't an issue and when I picked up my car the next day all the lights were gone and my car was back to normal. Things happen, it's how you respond to these things, and I feel like Mavis was upfront and had good communication with me. They were friendly and took care of me, you can't ask for much more when doing business. They made a lifelong customer out of me. read more

Mavis is there when you need them! Unfortunately, I got a screw in the tread of my tire and it quickly went flat. I put the spare on, and headed to my nearby Mavis. They had a number of customers ahead of me but within 30 minutes my car was in and they were taking care of it. They plugged the hole and it was only about $28, which i thought was reasonable. The nice thing is they replaced the spare and all the tire changing tools back into the trunk area just like they should be. No cutting corners. read more

Took my car here today for a battery replacement. They charged me $100 more for the same battery that I could get it AutoZone 5 miles away. When I asked why the difference I was told because it was delivered. I called AutoZone and confirmed they charge $0 to deliver to Mavis. These people are really taking advantage of people. What should've been a $360 transaction including my military discount ended up costing me $483, And that is after a 10% military discount!! I have taken my car here for tires and oil changes but I am forever done. I was misled about the price, lied to about the reason behind the surcharge and I just can't trust them anymore. The only reason why AutoZone would not install it is because there are special fuses on top of my battery and they don't want to be liable if it's reinstalled incorrectly otherwise I would've gladly used them and not had to pay an installation fee. I have no problem paying an installation fee to anybody but adding an extra $100 to the price of the part is unfair and it's taking advantage of consumers. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change. After 1 1/2 hours, I went to the manager and asked how much longer it was going to take as it was already an hour and a half. The response I received was that a tire delivery had come and all the guys had to unload it. BS, how should that be my problem??? I SAW the truck pull up and it was at least 1 hour after I arrived!!!!! They took $20 off my bill bringing it to $94 for an almost 2 hour oil change!!! ZERO sense of urgency! NO value of MY time! I have had a long standing issue with slow leak messages on my computer in my car. I took my car in to 7 other tire places and even back to the car dealership where I purchased the car. Just cam in for an oil change nothing else. Explicitly stated that I was having issues with my multi media system and that my dealership would be figuring it out and that by no means should they do anything with my car electrically. Picked up car and my settings on my multimedia were pulled up and the screen was completely frozen. Car was also like pre set to cruise control or something. Basically told them not to touch anything electrical and they went around pressing every single button in my car for some reason not sure what's wrong with them. I purchased brand new set of tires last year. One tire ended up developing a leak so I called and scheduled a tire repair. My wife showed up at the appointment time and was told it would take about 45 minutes. So, she walked around and came back 38 minutes laters only to find the car had not been taken back yet. She was informed by a second employee (maybe the assistant manager) that they were finishing up cars ahead of her and corrected my wife when she said it she had been waiting 45 minutes letting her know that since the appointment was at 11am it was more like 30 minutes. While I am sympathetic to unforeseen issues such a low staffing etc. I do not appreciate the attitude towards customers. I also think when customer's drop off their car the staff need to be specific such as - it will take 45 minutes before we even get to your car vs. it will take a total of 45 minutes from now to get it done. Needless, to say, we will not return. Went to a large competitor who will make the repair for a fraction of the cost. Businesses need to appreciate that customer service, especially when things don't go well, is important. read more

They informed me this was my second patch in the same tire which is helpful to know. I inquired about additional services for my vehicle and they answered my questions and gave advice. Woke up with a nail in my tire (again...) and easily made an appointment to drop in to Mavis later that day. Before heading to work I needed air for the tire so I swung by to fill it up before heading to work. I decided I'd shoot my shot to see if they had availability to patch it up real quick that morning instead of waiting until 4 and they said they could help me out. I was able to get the nail removed and patched for an excellent price (way better than a new tire) and in good time. Will be back if needed! I took my vehicle to this location for a simple routine oil change. Instead of receiving that service the tech drained my transmission fluid. As a result of this I am in need of a new transmission and the company denied any responsibility in this matter. The customer service for this company is absolutely horrible, I had no return phone call for over a week. I had to jump through all kinds of hopes to get this situation figured out with Subaru. Luckily for my, they are amazing and took very good care of me! I advise everyone to avoid mavis tires and brakes as well as action gator tire at all cost! read more

Mark the manager is a total moron and could not have been nastier. We already had a terrible first experience when we brought in our bmw for brakes. When the sensor wouldn't go off he proceeded to tell us "drive it and it will go away". Get a life moron! He ended up having to call bmw to get factory parts to fix it.....shocker, it worked! Today we had a nail in our tire so I called figuring maybe they had an off week. The girl (very nice) scheduled me for tomorrow 10 am.
