I stopped in today to get an oil change on my wife's car because I thought it was due. Because the service light came on earlier in the week. The service tech showed me the dipstick and the oil was still in great condition she and one of the assistant managers recommended I don't need to get an (full synthetic) oil change now. They could have sold me an oil change for $120. But they didn't. Now that is service. My jeep was a little complicated with a bunch of screws and it he took it apart to ensure the filter could be swapped out. I already feel the difference in air quality of my vehicle. My husband waited hours at Valvoline and the manager tells my husband he won't honor the warranty. Then he threatened my husband and told my husband to leave or he was calling the cops on my husband!!! I brought my son's Nissan rogue in for an oil change. Shortly after he stated car wasn't working. I checked it out and found they had put the whole air filter assembly back in improperly. I fixed it and went and told them. They apologized and I pointed out my teenage son was stranded on 70 and I had to go save him. Most others would have needed a tow. The apologized again but didn't give a shit. A year later, his friend, also with a Nissan rogue, brought his there for an oil change. They drove out and the car stopped running. Over $300 and a tow later it was fixed at another shop. They told valvoline what happened and guess what... they don't give a shit again. Avoid this place at all cost. This place is a joke, I highly recommend everyone stay far away!! Got my oil changed, left bay and got.3 miles away only for my vehicle to stall. A technician came over and said it was my battery, funny because 10 min before my battery was reading healthy, they offered zero help. Vehicle was towed to mechanic, after diagnosis they informed me Valvoline tech broke my mass air flow sensor while removing filter. I submitted a claim, got a phone call back that they reviewed the cameras and didn't notice him breaking the mass airflow sensor. Apparently Valvoline has cameras that will go inside your vehicle from the bay to see these kind of things, right you guys are a joke and need to be shut down forever.!! NEVER GOING BACK New to the area, i dropped into what I thought was a reputable place based on the name. My first clue was when I hear the attendant tell the driver in the next lane, that his bill included an extra charge because his vehicle took in excess of 5 quarts of oil. When taking my information, the attendant asked me if I had a coupon, she suggested next time, I could use one from their website. I thought, why not this time? Soon after, she shows me my air filter and said that I should consider changing it (it looked almost new). Knowing that they cost $18 or less on Amazon, I asked how much? She stated $29. Do Not go to Valvoline Instant Oil Change on SR 64 in Bradenton, Florida. They admitted to stripping my oil pan screw compartment causing a leak. Because my SUV has over $100K miles, Valvoline refused to pay for a necessary replacement oil pan due to their mistake. So a $89 oil change turned into a $1200 expense. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What is worse is Valvoline Corporate turned a blind eye and said because this location is a franchise location it's up to them decide the outcome[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They don't tell you when you pull in for service that if we mess up your vehicle, it's on you torepair at your own expense. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Further, I've taken all 4 of my vehicles to this location since it opened 6 or 7 years ago. The muppet that serviced my vehicle didn't tighten caps, mangled my air cleaner box and didn't put it back together properly, didn't put my valve stem caps back on my tires, got fluids all over my engine bay and 'washed' it off with windshield washer solvent so when I pulled away it all burned off in a puff of white smoke. Drive thru in and out oil change in 30 mins. It's first come first serve and waited in line for about 5 mins. I went mid afternoon and called ahead and got a coupon texted to me. It was very convenient and I got the oil that will last 6 k miles before needing another change. The people were professional and pleasant. Showed me each of the filters and asked if I wanted them changed or not and what the charge would be. The cabin air filter was fine but I did get the engine filter changed. The price was over $100 which seemed more than I had expected even with the coupon but I didn't ask ahead. Overall it was a good experience. Once again, DO NOT use Valvoline Instant oil change, they damaged my vehicle to a point of it being undrivable and then took no responsibilty. The assit manager hung up on me and basically told me he was denying my claim. Furthermore, when dealing with the VIOC Corp claim deptartment they too were unprofessional and also hung up on me after denying my claim. They hire inexperienced staff and lack the mamagement skills to run a business. Please read my previous post- for some reason YELP or VIOC had it hidden.. They don't know how to line cars up outside. Every time I go I get skipped in line by 2 or 3 people, and I end up waiting 2 hours sometimes more for a simple oil changes that takes 15-20 mins. They made me miss an important appointment because they promised me when I showed up that I would get through before 1:30pm and I showed up with 1 hour and 40 mins before my appointment. (Got there at like 11:45) needed to be out by 1:20 at the latest. Got skipped twice in line before saying something and didn't end up leaving until 1:45, I got in the bay at 1:10 expecting to leave by 1:30, because they said they could be fast, ended up missing my appointment due to them not following through what they promised and miss management of the car wait lines. Took my Jeep Cherokee in this morning before they opened. My dealership wanted me to wait close to a month for an oil change! I was pulled in, greeted, and the service started. The gentleman, I believe he was the manager, was very nice. I was not up sold and the service was quick. Everyone there was polite and nice, I really appreciated it. In this entire time no one from the shop has even come out to recognize that I'm here or acknowledge my presence or give me any idea of what the wait time would've been when I first got here, I was only two cars deep.
