Bought 4 brand NEW tires from them in July of 2024, fast forward to March of 2026 my tires ALL four are completely dry rotten, they literally only want to give me 45% toward new tires & thru actually wants me to buy the tire from them, you sold dry rotten tires & then wants me to give even more money, smh, manager Daniel didn't give a damn ,if the tires were good or not, he could care less, I DO NOT, DO NOT recommend, these tires are NOT even 2 years old & are already dry rotten.. Tire sensor light would not go off in car and took to Mavis to see why. Invoice indicated that they checked sensors and all was ok. Told me tire had a nail in it and fixed (was charged for this) when I got in light was still on, told me I needed 2 front tires and alignment and was told this would fix problem. I purchased tires and got alignment, light remained on despite being told this would solve the problem and again tire sensors were supposed to have been checked again according to invoice and was charged over $400 for tires and alignment. They never checked tire sensors, lied on invoice indicating they did several times; they cannot be trusted for truthful reporting as to services received or checked. My problem was the rear passenger side tire sensor and when replaced the sensor light went out in the car. I believe they wanted me to spend more money than necessary and lie about services performed. Be careful going there for services and stay with the car to make sure services are being performed, each time I left my car and had them call me when ready. read more

Stay away from this location I bought a brand new set of Toyo tires They put anywhere from 7 to 12 ounces of weights on each I told them that is not correct they didn't line up the yellow dot to the valve stem The manufacturer puts that yellow dot there on purpose for maximum balancing. it is supposed to be lined up to the valve stem So I asked him to redo them, and when they redid them, they beat the living hell out of my wheels scratch them, gouged them, scarred them, and still had tons of weights I think that they're guy doesn't know how to use the balance balancing machine Then to make it even worse, I was focusing on the damage to the wheels and the improper, balancing only to later notice that their unit directional tires and I have four right hand sides and no left side I have contacted corporate, but I'm waiting on a regional manager to call read more

Do not go here and if you do go do not book an appointment online. They service vehicles on a first come first serve basis no matter if you have a confirmed appointment. I had an appointment at 8am and at 10:10 they told me I would have to wait another 1hr 30 mins because a walk in was using the equipment needed to service my tire. I asked if they could call me when they are done so I could just come back as I've already been sitting there for two hours and was told that even if I come back another car could require the equipment and still be serviced before mine and so I'd still have to wait. Mind you I've watched them put the equipment on the other car and have it sitting there for over an hour. I don't know how long it takes to change a flat but I would avoid this place altogether if you can. The front desk lady was really sweet and nice and made the experience tolerable. On 06/13/2024 my son bought 2 brand new tires from Mavis tires and brakes in Conyers, GA the iris drive location he spent $616.00 for just two tires and brakes (brakes only in the front). on 06/17/2024 just 4 days later while driving on the expressway (65 to 70 mph )one of the brand new tires blew out, I mean completely split wide open, the one on the driver side (rear). The car spun out of control and hit a concrete wall on the express way. Thankfully no one was hurt, we could have lost our lives because of this tire/ tires that was put on his vehicle, the car is completely totaled. The police officers/ EMT's were in disbelief when they saw the tire and kept asking where did we get the tire from!! thankfullly everything is in the police report. We have had this Honda for many years and have bought plenty tires from random tire shops and nothing like this has EVER happened. We regret ever buying tires from Mavis tires and brakes, this has turned into a nightmare. I have tried to reach out to the location and have been speaking to Juliette (store manager) about a refund and have been getting a run around about the situation. All she has said was that she was sorry for what happen. Sorry would not have bought us back had WE died. Saying sorry and doing nothing about the situation does not help at all. We have warranty on everything that was put on the vehicle. She said she would file a claim but we haven't heard anything. That was our first time getting tires from them and surely our last. The worst service center I have ever encountered. The picture below shows the result of getting an alignment at this location and they did nothing to correct the situation. On February 14, 2024, I took my 2017 GLS 450 Mercedes Benz in to have the (2) front tires replaced. I had stopped in days earlier and request to purchase (2) new tires for the front and I was told they could not get those tires. I in turn mentioned that, if so, I could purchase the tire from Amazon, would they install it? The response was yes. I ordered the tires and when it came, I called the store and spoke to Monica and schedule an appointment for 10:00 am on the 14th. Upon arrival, I met Monica, told her I am about to go on vacation and wanted to get my car ready and, I gave her my order request: Install/balance the (2) new tires on the front, check the air in ALL the tires and put the old tires in the trunk. Monica was cordial, knowledgeable and very customer friendly. After an hour or so, I was called that my car was ready. I paid and proceeded outside to my car. Approaching the car I saw the new tires and I then open the trunk....NO OLD TIRES. I went back inside and stood in line, by then I saw the Tech carrying the old tires to my car. I met him outside and he confirmed that the tires were balanced for highway speed. The next day I used an air guage to double check the air in each tires, they showed FR=41psi, FL=39psi, RR=26psi and RL=33 psi and a missing green valve stem cover. I corrected the psi. and moved on. Two days later I left with my family for vacation and sped up to 65 mph and started to feel a vibration from the front and it got worse as the speed increased. At 75 mph it was like the front end was coming apart. Our destination was 225 miles away and with no other option, I reduced my speed to 62 mph and continued our trip. A 3-hour trip wind up being 4.5 hours and some very unhappy, pi..ed off and ticked passengers. Very upset, I called Mavis Tire in Conyers GA where the tires was installed and ask what is the procedure to follow in my situation....I was told to go to the nearest Mavis Tire. I called up Mavis Tire in Richmond Hill, Georgia and took my car in. Brooke who took my phone call as well as check me in was very cordial, and apologetic reviewed the situation and called the Conyers store to confirm the installation. After 15 minutes Brooke and the store Mgr. called for me and said "THE TIRES WERE NEVER BALANCED, THE ORIGINAL WEIGHTS WERE STILL ON THE RIM AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM." They balanced the tires and put the correct air pressure (psi) in ALL the tires. These people were GREAT FROM START TO FINISH. Drove the car up to 110mph and the tires were smooth as silk...excellent service!!!!! Credit should be given to the front staff of the Mavis Tire store in Conyers, GA. Monica was excellent in ALL that she did and held harmless in this review. She demonstrated professionalism and is an asset to the store but the person who installed the tires, THAT IS ALL HE DID. I paid for service that was half rendered which caused me a lot of inconvenience and a loss of credibility for that store. I bought the tires from Amazon and they recommended this dealership for installation, in that Mavis could not get the tires. I wonder if Amazon is aware of the quality of service being provided at this location. There were (4) family members at the family gathering who live in Conyers, GA and drive cars/trucks and after hearing my concerns...they vowed not to do business there. I will not be back to this location. I got my oil change, alignment, and new tires done yesterday. I left the car with them while I waited for the tires to arrive and was never informed that the tires would not be there till later that day. Fast forward to getting the car back; I get into the car and turn it on; the radio is at the highest possible volume, and no one bothered to turn it down (Tops out at 50 I believe). I never turn my radio past 30 because I suffer from migraines. I noticed the driver's side speakers were now busted and called the location. I was informed that they were attempting to reset my oil light, and so they pressed all of the buttons. I spent over 800 dollars on the original service and had to turn around and spent another 200 to replace the speakers that they busted. read more

Don't go to this location, because you'll have an oil change & out tail light appointment 9am , leave for about 2 hours come back, to find your car hasn't been touched yet! To have the cashier say "oh they didn't tell you , it's a two hour wait? " um where is the communication? I work overnight 11pm-7:30am!! Should have given me a option to wait or leave, I did make an appointment... so, I got a ride, & went home, left the car there...they call me 2:30pm to say my car was ready. Ok so I came back, about 5:00pm paid signed the paperwork,got keys then proceeded to leave.. to find out they didn't change the light. Now I'm waiting & waiting until looks like they are closed then some guy changed the light! They charged me 88.00 dollars! To have me wait from 9am with an appointment until 7pm to be finished? I took my truck here a month ago for tires. They recommend rear brake pads while I was there. I got the brake pads. Today I'm driving my truck and the right rear brake seizes up. Now they want to charge me almost $600 to fix what they broke. They've got me over a barrel because obviously another mechanic isn't going to make it right for them. Essentially, they DO NOT stand behind their work. If they brake your car they don't think it's their problem. I'll be calling corporate in the morning to seek a solution and will update this review if they make me whole, but I am not hopeful. Even if the corporate makes good in their guarantees it will mean that anyone else who is failed by these unethical practices will also have to take unusual steps to find solutions when these mechanics fail you. read more

Disappointed. I took my 2016 Malibu to the conyers Mavis on the 7th of Feb 2024 to replace my TPMS sensors. only one needed replacing, but I decided to replace all four of them. After the replacment, Iwas inform that I need to drive at least twenty five miles before the computer pick it up. After about a hundred miles , nothing. I took it back to the store and was told that the new sensors were defective. They were replaced. Still no results. I return the next day. After another fail attempt .I was told that I should take the car to the dealer in order to reprogram the sensors. when I took the car to Mavis it had three working sensors. At this time I have no working sensors. It cost 305 dollars to find out how bad Conyers Mavis is. Wish that I had read the reviews before I took my car there. Never again. read more

I went to the Georgia 20 store in Conyers on Monday August 15th 2022 to get my free tire rotation and also a free synthetic oil change from John. I have been to this store many times and had several cars serviced there. It was busy and the person behind the counter said they were short staffed and suggested I make an appointment for another day so she suggested Wednesday August 17th at 10:00. John was there and I spoke to him thanking him for the free oil change card and left. I arrived at my appointment time only to find out that the counter person could not find my appointment and asked was I sure I made it at this store. Yes was my answer but she then said I would have to wait at least 2 hours because others had appointments. I said this was unacceptable and could I speak to the manager. She said she was the manager. Uh well then she was also the one that made the original appointment. I also asked was she able to actually make an appointment and she assured me she had enough sense to do so. Evidentially not. If they all could be like John aok but I will not set foot in that store as long as the "manager" if she is one, works there. My advice to you is to not go here! Had I known how terrible at their jobs they are I would've gone some place else. But being a Mavis customer for a couple years I assumed it would be fine. Initially I went in for an oil change. While I waited I was told I needed new rear brake rotors. I said that's impossible since I had just had new ones put in at a different location in January and I didn't drive much, plus the front ones were in perfect condition. He said I needed it but looked it up and saw that I did in fact had new ones put in early this year. That bugged me but ok. 3 hours later- yes it took 3 hours for an oil change and no, there were no other customers waiting. They had to get a filter at a different location but didn't inform me until I asked. Next morning I get a call from them saying they kept the pouch with the lug bolts. I come in and schedule an appointment for Monday. I came in and told them I needed new front tires. I had gotten new rear tires with them in September 2020z I wait and wait. 3 hours had passed. Also, making a reservation won't change your wait time. I left and as I'm driving I noticed the tire pressure light was on. I brought the car back the next morning and had them check to see if there's something wrong. He said one tire had low pressure but he would rotate the tires for me. I thought that had been done the day before when I got 2 new tires. But ok. I pulled into the driveway and check the tires and notice that two of them were missing lug nuts. I check and they're in the pouco in the glove compartment. So I install on one tire and when I checked the second, it was an old tire they'd put in. So I returned to the store again and complained that they changed my tires and put an old one on. He doubted me, I showed him and gave me a lame excuse. No apology, just an excuse. He finally changed the tire and I can leave. But will never return to any Mavis location again. They rip you off and take advantage of customers. They provide poor customer service and don't own up to their mistakes. read more

Please. please please please do not go here. I have been here a handful of times. Each time things have gotten worse for me. No more. I went last week and felt like perhaps I was getting taken advantage of. I was getting my vehicle ready for a trip to Nashville. On way my way to Nashville things started happening and I ended up in a brake and tire shop once I arrived. I found out that Kauffman in Conyers, Georgia left off a lug nut, did not balance any of my tires as they claimed, had lied to me about other services completed. One of the issues ended up in a brake problem for me. The alignment I had done was faulty and I feel like a fool for paying them my hard earned money. It really makes me wonder and worry about the other things I had them do for me and my vehicles. I beg anyone not to go there or support their business. Shame on you Mavis Tire (new owners of Kauffman). Your work ethic and morals are very low and I wish there is some way I could go back in time and not have given you my trust and money. I also found a couple loose screws under the hood today. I hope I make it back to Georgia in one piece. read more

If I could give negative stars I would . I went in for my 8am appointment and the store was not opened until 8:50am. I was speaking to a rep by the name of Ashley, who was visibly inebriated. Ashley was rude, Inebriated, and not suitable for the work environment. I addressed her poor customer service and she proceeded to state - "Leave MY store and I am going to call the cops on you. " - which she did , my name was ran and record is squeaky clean.( Petty and weak move pulled on most customers who address poor work performance.) I had new tires and an alignment performed on my vehicle last week. So, to start the price I was quoted was NOT the price I was told upon completion of services. After causing quite the scene they did get me closer to the original price quote and explained that corporate doesn't allow them to "give the complete quote (with taxes and disposal fees) over the phone." Furthermore, the car immediately pulled to the right (it pulled to the left before the 'alignment'. In addition to ALL THE OTHER problems, they left the lid off my brake fluid reservoir causing the fluid to be contaminated as I didn't notice for over a week they had done this. DO. NOT. GET. I would never spend my money at this location. I first went to the Tucker location. I had a driver side front and back tires that needed to be replaced. I picked tires got the warranty and took a seat. I was told they would ensure the best tires were on the rear and they would move used ones up front cool. I sit for over and hour and once i pulled away about 5 min the censors for tire pressure were on again. I drive back to the location and realize the new tires were in the front. When I speak to someone they let me know my tires are offset so they just replaced the 2 front tires. So instead of communicating that with me they just decided to change a tire that didn't need to be replaced and leave a tire on there that did need to be replaced. I left there paying $430 and did not get what I needed. Moving forward I order a tire at a location I pay a $25 deposit. I set a time to get it installed on my car. When I arrive to this location they proceed to tell me they do not have the tire and it would be here next day!! Again poor communication and bad service. I went to another Tire shop and paid double the price for a tire and I left happy and relieved. Imagine your service being so bad customers would rather pay more then have to deal with your company. I really hate doing this. As a strong supporter of good businesses and willingness to do everything in my power to not air dirty laundry via social media, I've lost patience with their poor customer service. I've supported Kauffman Tires frequently since it first opened in 2013/14 and proudly when they became corporate sponsors of our Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. After multiple visits to the store speaking with the store manager, phone calls to the corporate office speaking to the district and regional managers, and even writing letters to the co-owners @Mavis Tire detailing the issue, we cannot reach a consensus on responsibility to get my vehicle rechecked. FB family & friends I really mean this. Do not use any Kauffman Tires especially Hwy 20 Conyers, GA for even the services they should be excellent in like a basic oil change. They will cause a major engine failure, contract a 3rd party vendor to repair the issue 100 miles from your residence, and tell you that you are now their customer so you are responsible to get your vehicle to the 3rd party vendor 100 miles away for further repairs. How far away from the customer's home should a company contract with a 3rd party vendor to perform repairs and then hand the responsibility of warranty work to the customer? Is 80 miles one way, in a major metropolitan city, a reasonable distance to require your customer to take the vehicle for warranty work related to the engine failure? When did the customer become responsible for getting service from 3rd party vendors? Kauffman Tires was asked to perform a basic oil change in June 2017 on my 2000 Chevy S10 Xtreme. During this oil change, something occurred in their process that caused a major engine failure. They took responsibility for the engine failure and agreed to have the engine repairs performed. In August 2017, I received the truck back, by tow truck from the repair shop, with an oil leak. Kauffman Tires again took responsibility and made the necessary repairs. Over the next few months the truck is driven sparingly as it is only used by my son while he is away at college. When my son came home for the Christmas break after driving it more frequently, we noticed that there was another leak and a loss of compression in one of the pistons. I spoke with Kauffman to get the truck looked at again and here is the primary issue...they said I would be responsible for getting the truck back to the contracted 3rd party vendor. But it gets better...they used a repair shop in Canton, GA, 80 miles away from my house. So I now must use a repair shop, not of my choosing, 80 miles away costing me $300 one way to get it looked at. Kauffman Tires generously offered to pay 1/2 of the tow costs. I didn't cause the engine issue and I certainly didn't choose the repair shop. So why am I now responsible for how the truck should be checked for alleged warranty repairs? Businesses that perform customer service poorly don't deserve to stay in business. This is a policy/process that Kauffman Tires will keep getting away with if we consumers allow it. If you need basic service performed on your vehicle, please seek out other more reputable shops. read more

Kauffman Tire has the worst customer service ever. If you are a woman stay away from Kauffman Tire. I was duped of 308. 00 for a job that was not fix and was told it was. My car was doing the same thing after I was told is fixed. I took it back and I was told is something else. I wrote there president to complaint. The company President sent Kevin who said he was the manager of Customer service to handle the situation, Kevin is a bully big mistake to the company. Do not take your vehicle here!! The customer service @ Hwy 138 in Conyers,Ga is deplorable. My husband and I took my car here for a standard oil change...simple enough right?....WRONG. We called prior to arriving just in case there was a wait or we needed to schedule an appt. A rep promptly answered the phone and stated there was not wait and they had availability for appts. So we drive over walk in and my husband asked the guy "how long will it be for an oil change?" He said I just have to pull your vehicle in and we can get started. We asked the price he stated 65.00, ok no problem that's about what they charged for my last oil change. My husband gave him the keys and we sat down in the waiting area. The Mavis rep came in from outside and said I noticed your windshield wipers need to be replaced, we have some on sale, my husband declined, then he asked him again how long is your wait for the oil change? At this time he was as the cash register and said let me enter the tag number on the car and I can tell you how long it will be. Then he said we're getting the oil now, then we waited a little over an hour. We noticed (Ms.King) at the register assisting another customer, I waited until she was done they I asked was she a manager, she said yes how can I help you? I explained to her we were waiting for a little over an hour for an oil change she apologized, checked our checkin time is the system and immediately gave us a discount. I'm thinking problem resolved....Big Mistake, the Mavis rep who initially checked us in saw me speaking to the manger (Ms.King) he came in from goofing off with the mechanics and asked what's going on? Ms.King told him they have been waiting for over an hour, then he said I told them we had to get oil because the oil that car takes were out out stock and need to go to another location! My husband witness the exchange and sir you didn't mention you you were out of stock and had to go to another Mavis had you mention that in the beginning we would have declined, you didn't give us the option to decide if we wanted to wait. He said well that's just common sense! My husband, no customer service is you give customers an option to decide if they want to wait for oil that should already be in stock at an oil change facility. Ms.King is witnessing this entire exchange and did not stop the employee from displaying complete unprofessionalism. Long story short we will not return to Mavis ever again. I strongly recommend the company look into proper customer service training and deescalation tactics. This is exactly why they have a one star rating! Last but certainly not least we were skeptical about how they treated my car while in their car; we popped the hood of my car to ensure they even changed the oil to find they left a yellow plastic cap under the hood of my car. What if that would have fallen into one of my belts are caused damage from the heat of the vehicle!!!Companies should really appreciate their customers during times like this, most business are closing down due to lack of business.... be careful Mavis that could be you at any moment!!!
