I need to say as a disclaimer I need to give this place another chance when they have some months under their belt, because their house beers are quite awful. The good news is they had guest taps or this visit would have been a bust. I love establishments which are local and also support local breweries. Violet's Venom is all that. And, I love the concept if not the execution. They have in door and out door seating and there are food option which you can order with a bar code. We couldn't find anything food wise which looked appetizing. Still though they also have some wine options. They are kid friendly from what I could tell from the kids outside. And big plus they have free wifi. I didn't get to use it though. The BEER: Hazy IPA Pilot Batch #1 4.7% ABV... ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE... either the batch was going bad or it was a bad batch... I poured it out... Yuck Sophia's Golden Imperial Stout 8.8% ABV... also not very good Brown Ale pilot Batch 2 4.3% ABV... it was almost good, but had a slightly off taste Molasses stout pilot batch 1 7.9% ABV... also not very good Can't believe I didn't find one of their beers I liked. Still I liked the venue and they had guest drafts. I settled in on a local Red Ale which did the job. I really wanted to like this place. The concept is great, but the execution not so much. Apple Maps was zero help -- it kept suggesting every bar and grill in existence instead of actual breweries. Thankfully, our Minnesota HopPassport saved the day. We pulled up nearby breweries and landed on Rockpit... and wow, we're so glad we did. We were greeted the second we walked in, which instantly set the tone. For our first round, my husband grabbed the Stupider IPA and I ordered the Paloma Possible cocktail. We fully planned on having one drink and heading out -- but they were so refreshing on a hot Florida day that we couldn't resist staying for another. Round two: he went with the 1840 Pre-prohibition lager, and I tried the Motorboatin' Florida agave lager. Both were seriously delicious. The whole place had such a great ambiance and vibe, reminding us of the breweries we love back home in Minnesota. If we're ever in the area again, Rockpit will absolutely be on our list. Cheers!

It feels like decent snacks to pair with your beers and keep people staying...and honestly I'm not mad about it. I tried the chips/cheese, chicken tenders and fries and a friend had the chicken flatbread. The flatbread seemed like the best of the bunch.

When I arrived I asked the bartender what tastings they were doing and she informed me of food specials that they were running. She mentioned that with certain food offerings, they were offering a free beer. Different beers would come with the nachos, hummus, or giant pretzel food options. My husband and I were very excited about this and decided that we would try some of the specials, that included the beer and nachos and beer and pretzel. The food was good, the pretzel was outstanding but the nachos could've used a bit more toppings. The chicken pieces in the nachos also should've been a bit more bite sized instead of the big clumps they were in but they still had good flavor. The reason I am giving the review 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is that when looking at my bill, I noticed that they charged me more than the nacho price on the menu. When I questioned this, they informed me that they were running food/beer specials and not that it was buy a food item and get a free beer as was advertised. I suggested that they change their messaging to future guests so as to not confuse anyone thinking they'd get a free beer with certain entree items. Eventually they ended up comping me for one of my beers which I appreciated due to the mixed messaging that I had received.

Tactical is a high end brewery with home brew vibes. The beers here have their own unique character and if you are not a casual beer drinker you will really appreciate it. It is located in the ritzy area of Orlando where parking is challenging and rides have is encouraged. Tactical is armed forces and first responders friendly. Tactical has cratf beer, wine and craft cocktails as a rotating food schedule. On thus Sunday just they had a Latin inspired menu. Tactical has both inside and outside seating, a wrap around bar, high seats and tables. I remember it being a little darker. Lighting is always dims and sets the tone for a great drinking experience. Also on my visit was a live guitarist Mike Lynch and he was very talented. Just love the vibe here at Tactical Brewing. The BEER: Noise in the Forest Maibock 6% ABV... really liked this one, easy drinking with a fermented finish Florida Slay Ride Golden Ale 7% ABV... slightly sweet, if you know Golden Monkey, this is a smoother version with a lot more complexity There are some cool sours including imperial, and a pretty diverse selection about 20 taps.
