Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and found an empty seat at the end of the bar. I discovered "Allison" to be a friendly and helpful employee who gave me an interesting history of this distillery, as well as giving me some great suggestions for my order. Everything offered on their drink menu is made on site with the exception of 3 drinks. They offer 4 different fights ($18-$25 for 4 drinks). They offer classic cocktails, craft cocktails, and their distillery spirits. Not a drinker (you're in the wrong place, ha!), no problem, as they have non alcohol beverages / mixers as well as Mocktails! I ordered their Florida Gold Rum ($12.00). It's a rum that's aged 5 years in bourbon barrels and finished in a sherry cask barrel. It's balanced with notes of raisins, cooked bananas, caramelized fruit, along with oak derived vanilla. (43% ALC/VOL) I enjoyed my drink. It was good and had quite the kick to it. The inside is inviting and comfortable and the patrons and employees are nice and conversational. It was a pleasant and new experience for me and I recommend you check them out. Hours are: Sun-Mon: Closed Tue-Thur: 3pm-8pm Fri-Sat: 2pm-9pm

No free samples, they offer different flights to try their spirits. We tried the bourbon flight , loved the 1st two not a fan of the honey whiskey, way to sweet! On Tuesday they had $2 off an old fashion, we opted for the smoked cherry wood old fashioned, very delicious!! Plenty of seating even comfy couches throughout, even the restroom was clean!! Staff was attentive and very informative!

    Very humanitarian of Oceanside.

Oceanside Distillery is 1.) the ONLY distillery in Brevard County as the rest are technically breweries and 2.) one of two located in Cape Canaveral right next to Carib Brewery's taproom, the 321 Lime House. Out of the two, however, I would rather go to Oceanside Distillery (which I will shorthand to Oceanside for the remainder of the review) despite 321 being more popular due to the royalty that is Carib Pineapple Cider. Still, I love Oceanside more because it has a unique feel to its taproom, has unique options for drinks because they are distillery, and offers a wide range of okay food (more explanation on that later in the review). They also offer many activities and events for the locals and the tourists coming in on the cruise ships, too. Located just off the main road of AIA/528 (since it is at the merger point of the two), Oceanside is kind of in the "industry district" of Cape Canaveral. This is probably why it is such a popular dive for the locals who might go in to get some steam off. On the outside, Oceanside doesn't look anything too amazing. I even have to admit their biergarten is kind of disappointing. However, the interior is definitely a mixture of maritime dive and hipster hangout, a combination that seems to work quite well. To the left, is an area dedicated as the store of merchandise. There is a bar straight to the back with numerous tables and chairs scattered about. The room further to the right (northside) has more seating, but offers an area of entertainment with games. In short, probably not the biggest taproom seating, but it gets the job done. Where Oceanside gets a one-uppance compared to other breweries/distilleries at least in the immediate area and northern half of Brevard County, is the drink and food options. Distilleries have way more options in drinks because they are not limited to just brewing. Ergo, Oceanside has vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, and bourbon. Their bartender, a beautiful lady by the name of Alison, knew how to mix drinks. I had the Wild Honey (Oceanside Honey Whiskey, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, vanilla simple syrup). It was excellent. Magnifique actually. The food, however, is passable. They have a menu consisting of simple bar food with a dockside twist. So imagine mini crab cakes, conch fritters, sliders, etc. I got the first two and that is when I realized the food seems to be store-boughts that are fried in a fryer and handed out. There was very little difference between the crab cakes and conch fritters with the exception of the conch fritters having more dough. Overall, it would satisfy hunger but at their prices, maybe go somewhere else? Ultimately, the camaraderie and unique and diverse drink selections give Oceanside a "good" rating, but more so as a local. If I were a tourist, I might be a tad bit disappointed really. But if locals build this place up as the after work dive, it is definitely a good place to be. SIDENOTES: Oceanside is one of the distilleries listed under the Florida Spirits Trail. On the other hand, it has no recognition in Untappd, the social media service for alcohol enthusiasts. Finally for my scavenger hunting friends, Oceanside is the only brewery/distillery in Brevard County with a traditional letterbox.

Wish I could give an honest review of the spirits, but we didn't even make it through the door. We were excited to find that the closest distillery to us allowed dogs, according to Yelp. This is somewhat correct. They only allow non emotional support animals at their picnic table outside. That would be acceptable except that the picture included with this review shows what their picnic table looks like. Mind you, this is in August in Florida where the temperature is 90 degrees or more with extreme humidity. Perhaps if there were some sort of shade, it might have be tolerable. Alas, no effort was actually provided for our four legged children. Bummer.

I stopped by Oceanside Distillery with some friends and loved it. The bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. All of their handcrafted cocktails sounded amazing so it was difficult to pick. I asked the bartender and she recommended the espresso mochatini. The drink is made with cold brew rum, vanilla simple syrup, chocolate bitters and topped with cocoa powder. It's delicious.

Love everything about this place! Alison is an amazing Mixologist. Local distilled liquors are nationally awarded and definitely worthy. The owners are super friendly and the entire staff does a truly exceptional job! Oceanside is a gem in Cape Canaveral! Check them out for great cocktails and enjoy their regular scheduled comedy events!

I loved the interior and seating here! They have a bar, tables and another little room with more seating. Bartenders were super sweet and helpful. We ordered some samplers and some drinks, all were excellent. Looked over in the merchandise section and not too much but nice they have a few things. Very easy to get here!

We stopped in for the first time today to sample the selection and had a great experience. They were very attentive and knowledgeable and with their guidance tried a flight. Loved the various rums and the roasted coconut waste incredible. I also tried the mochatini and that is definitely on my repeat list. Pretzel and conch fritters were great but the empanada was just ok. Great local place and we will be back and bringing friends!

I was impressed to learn that they make their own syrups and mixers, which added a great touch to the craft cocktails.

For my meal, I ordered Spicy Shrimp Tacos with no tortilla, and a side of fries. The tacos have Honey-chipotle grilled shrimp, pineapple salsa, siracha lime dressing slaw in it. All of the tacos/sandwiches are served with fries, sweet potato fries, or macaroni salad. The tacos weren't spicy at all but it was packed with flavor. The fresh slaw and pico complimented the shrimp. The fries were piping hot and they didn't need any ketchup. My mom ordered the Blackened Grouper Sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich has remoulade sauce, Bibb lettuce, and sliced tomato. The sweet potato fries were cold, but they quickly brought fresher hot ones to the table. She loved it. Mike got the Chicken Sandwich with fries. The chicken is topped with chipotle mayo, cheddar, bacon, romaine, and dill pickles. Mike enjoyed his meal. My dad got the Samoan Burger which has two 4 oz. smash patties, pineapple-bacon jam, cheddar cheese, fried egg, dill pickles, romaine lettuce, and J. Bird sauce on a toasted bun and sweet potato fries. He enjoyed it. Lastly, my sister ordered the Crispy Chicken Tacos with macaroni salad. The tacos are panko-crusted chicken tenders, topped with pico de gallo, shredded romaine, and chipotle ranch dressing. She enjoyed both the tacos and macaroni salad. Since the sweet potato fries were cold they brought us 2 free desserts. We got the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake & Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The Dubai Chocolate was delicious and had a delightful crunch from the pistachios. The upside down cake was warm and paired excellently with the vanilla ice cream. Overall, I would highly recommend checking out J Birds Island Eatery. Huge shout out to both Delaney, the hostess and Charlie, our waitress, for making our visit amazing. We weren't having a good day, but they made it way better.

We also sat in a room off by ourselves so we didn't get the whole vibe of the place. The food was okay, my father in law got a 39 dollar steak which had so much fat and gristle on it. He told the waitress and she didn't even offer to have the manager come over. The drinks were decent as well. My mother in laws chicken sandwich was huge and the tacos were tasty but it's a far drive from our house so I doubt we will be back.
