It's perfect for our dog because he gets to play and then go into his own space with a glass door so he can still see out. They provide beds and bowls as well so really they're all taken care of. They have four drop off/pick up times throughout the day, as early as 7:30am or as late as 9:00pm so it's convenient for traveling. Their prices are more than reasonable and they also offer daycare and grooming! We really love this place and even go out of our way when traveling just to bring our doggo here - he's always treated like a prince.

Talk about amazing service. Even so, I wanted to check the place out for myself. When I called and spoke to Vinny, one of the managers, he put a lot of my concerns to rest and then scheduled me for a tour. They have plenty of fenced, outdoor play yards and heated/ air conditioned buildings and change bedding daily. You have the option to bring your own food, and you can also use the food they have there. Little River also offers more individualized options, like walks in the woods, one-on-one fetch, cuddle sessions, and more. Best of all, they offer a complimentary bath prior to picking them up. Each time, he comes back happy, healthy, and tired from playing. The 24/7 business model is a godsend for weird hour drop offs whenever emergencies pop up or last minute plan changes. My wife is pregnant and we toured the facility several weeks ago to see if it would be a good place to board our dog when she went into labor. We never got around to signing up online and doing the test visit. I was sure we had more time to apply properly, but my wife went into early labor in the middle of the night 3 weeks prior to our due date and we were caught off guard. At 4:00am my wife called to see if it would be possible to have our dog stay even though we were unable to properly apply. We were prepared for the possibility that it would not be an option. The woman who answered the phone was very courteous, but said that she would need to get special permission from her boss (the owner) to do so. The owner then called my pregnant, laboring, wife and verbally berated and shamed her with a slew of "I told you to" statements with no grace or consideration. A simple, "I am terribly sorry, but we will be unable to accommodate you, we hope you will be able to join us in the future" would have been fine. However, the owner of this establishment is a person of poor character and unacceptable customer service. If you are looking for a place to board your animal, look elsewhere.

The doctors, vet techs, vet assistants, groomers, and even the people in reception are warm and friendly and CARING, especially Holly, Mel B. (Our kitty Reggie is in LOVE with her!) and Drs. Walker and Mitzi. They all listened to our questions and concerns, and they treated us with kindness and patience. It is clear that they wanted us to understand every part of the appointment, and they made sure to get our informed consent about entry procedure or treatment. And the way they treat our kitties? Amazing. After every appointment, they called us "just to check in with how the patients are doing". You can really tell that they love animals. On a sad note, we recently lost out 16 year-old cat to cancer (he was being treated by an amazing oncologist at MedVet, by the way). When we had him put to sleep at Medvet (see my other review for THAT horror story), the folks at Bartels and Busack sent us condolences and a sympathy card even though they were not the ones who euthanized him. I have found that it is difficult for vets to be able to do this at the same time, so I am willing to drive the extra miles to go to a good vet. This animal hospital is on richmond road, conveniently located near a few highways, so it is very accessible. The parking lot is decently sized, which is also a plus. The building is cozy, and make sure to call before going in to determine whether or not it is car-side service, but as for now it is not. The waiting room was fine, and social distancing is possible. The people at the desk are knowledge, quick and painless. I got taken to a room almost immediately and my cat, Lola, was seen almost immediately by the technician who was very nice and professional. Shortly after the doctor came in and was also professional and caring. She did end up taking Lola to the back room for some shots, but most everything was done in front of me, including Lola's temperature being taken, and an oral medication being given. The doctor was very helpful in scheduling a good time for a booster shot and urinalysis. The check out procedure was also very painless and quick. Overall, this is a great animal hospital to go to. They are organized, professional, helpful and quick. The best part about this vet is that there are 3 office cats, just chilling and interacting with the staff and clients.
