I was a little hesitant to try Max & Erma's at the Dayton airport after seeing some of the reviews, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The fries were hot and fresh, and the burger--though a bit overcooked--still had good flavor. What really stood out was the service: attentive, friendly, and quick, which made the experience much better than I expected. Overall, a solid stop before a flight out of the best airport!!!!!

I've stayed away for years, but was very hungry and this is the only restaurant open in the afternoon and evenings at DAY. I ordered the cheeseburger with extra lettuce and tomato with no onions and broccoli as the side. The burger was perfect as was the broccoli. I tried to order via the QR code, but it wasn't working, so I ordered through the bartender. He was very nice and efficient. However, when I ordered, he did not tell me that extra lettuce and tomato is $1.00 extra. Note that I didn't get a credit for deleting the onions. My meal and experience was very good. If you haven't tried Max and Erma's at the airport for a while, it's worth a second chance.

Wow, this lady is flippin' RUDE! She snapped at my buddy when he wanted to order soup, saying she was overloaded, by herself and unable to go back to the kitchen. She let me order my food, and several people after she told my friend no, so I don't know what her deal was. And by the way, there's another guy behind the bar, pouring drinks with her.

This restaurant is in the Dayton airport and currently has a limited menu. Service was very fast, that's a big plus in an airport! I had the black bean veggie burger and a IPA beer. Fries came with it, plump and crispy - nice! The burger was a very good veggie burger, bun was upscale and toasted. My SO had the bacon cheeseburger and it also came with fries. Asked that it be cooked medium, it was well done. (Why even ask?) - otherwise a good burger as well. One additional note: $13.00 for a draft beer. Ouch. If you need to catch a quick burger in the Dayton airport, this is your place!

I have been here a few times before catching a flight and I haven't been disappointed at all! Mr. Eric has impeccable service and he's always been super attentive and has always gotten my order perfectly! The food comes out hot and no complaints here! I am normally here for breakfast so the all American is the way to go!

Wine. $22.50 a glass. Drink up rich people.

I can't comment on food, but this place hilariously ripped us off. I know it's kind of a "thing" for airport food to be expensive but this just felt stupid. There's only four places to eat at the Dayton Airport with two being restaurants. We decided to stop in and saw on an online menu they had a house wine for $6.50 a glass which is fairly cheap. We asked for a bottle of the house wine and was told they didn't have it. We were also told they only sold wine by the glass. The waitress said to pick something else out and we did (it couldn't be too expensive, right?). Well, after taking in the views (they're not bad) and drank the wine we got the bill. $50.00 for two fairly medium sized glasses of wine. $22.50 per glass. Holy crap. What if I would have bought a bottle? *I know airport food is overpriced the same as food/beer is for sports events, but dang. $50 for two glasses of wine is highway robbery.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, and broccoli instead of toast and potatoes!!!

I had delightful service and a delightful view. With Gluten issues....we'll, let's just say dining can be painful! My server was kind and helpful, offering excellent options!!!

It's pretty much your basic grab a bite before your flight kinda place. Service was great, and prices are what you'd expect from an airport.

First impression? It definitely gives off biker bar vibes from the outside, but once you step inside, it's way more welcoming and laid back than you'd expect. Good atmosphere, friendly people, and the kind of place that feels like a hidden local favorite. I ordered the Biker Burger, and it absolutely delivered. The burger was juicy, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and packed with great taste in every bite. You can tell they care more about making good food than trying to be fancy. If you're making the trip to Buc-ee's and want something local instead of chain fast food, Rip Rap Roadhouse is definitely worth the stop. Great burger, cool atmosphere, and one of those places you're happy you discovered by accident.

Classic tavern setting but great outside deck & patio. Room for live music and both bar & restaurant seating. Service is casual and friendly but efficient and smooth. Food is casual but barbecue and smoked wings are where it is at! Homemade kettle chips are good & the onion rings are real & crunchy! Beer is cold & plentiful, and the bar is stocked. When I am going from west to east or north to south, this and the Buckhorn Tavern are my two must haves! Highly recommend!

Very kind, helpful, knowledgeable server. Our food came out quickly and perfectly. We both ordered the skillet. It was incredible. One of the best breakfast dishes I've had in a long time. Well prepared, delicious ingredients to make an incredibly delightful dish. The breakfast skillet was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. The sausage gravy was flavorful and delicious. The bacon was crisp and was the perfect flavor addition. My eggs were cooked perfectly (I asked for basted-they were perfect!) Everything was incredible. The biscuits were so good. A little underdone but perhaps the was on purpose? They were really good. My son added pancakes to his order. They looked a little overly done, but tasted good. Portion size was huge. Ambiance was very mom and pop shop---very close quarters. Only one small restroom. Great restaurant with excellent food!!! Just know what you're getting into. Probably not very handicapped accessible due to stairs and small restroom and tight quarters, but delicious food with kind waitstaff. Go for the food, not the ambience.

Today we ordered the mixed family broasted chicken and no issue when we were told there woukd be a wait because we expect that because it is broasted. We were told when our order would be ready and we arrived a little early. Our order should be ready around 6 pm and we arrived at 5:50 pm. We phoned at 5:50 pm stating we wanted to inform them we we were ready in space 3 but were early. She stated she was bagging it up as we speak. Eleven minutes went by and no order. My husband walked in. Our order was setting there. The lady said I am not sure what happened your order is ready it has been setting there. My husband said we have been setting in spot 3 for 11 minutes waiting since we phoned and was told then she was bagging our order. She had no response and he walked out. We tipped $5 on the $30 to go order, come on now! I asked my husband to count the chicken it was all there then we drove home. The chicken was dry. In the past their broasted chicken has ALWAYS been good. This tasted old not fresh but yet it was hot however, not seasoned. The fries were as if they were at the bottom of the bag. Several small pieces versus the larger fries. I have never been served them when I have ate in their restaurant before. I thought that was odd. The coleslaw appeared to be days old. I was not impressed due to the taste of the food and lack of getting me my order on time. I will be choosing someplace else to spend by hard earned money. Too many disappointments here.
