It had stopped working and I had replaced the battery. In the process the hands had fallen off. My fault. I dropped the watch off with the instructions to reattach the hands. A few days later when the watch was returned to me: 1. One of the hands was completely missing. 2. I was told the watch was no longer working. 3. The dial number indicators at 1:00 and 3:00 were missing altogether! 4. The stopwatch feature now zeroed to the 3:00 position rather than the 12:00 position. 5. The second hand no longer ticked at the 7:00 through 12:00 second indicator marks on the dial. I returned the watch to Johantgen Jewelers and was told it would cost another $200 in addition to the $35 I had already spent for the original repair! The owner of Johantgen Jewelers is also the watch repair guy. He proceeded to try and lay all of the blame on me for the list of issues that he himself had caused. He became very upset and defensive when I stood my ground, and started yelling at me that it wasn't his responsibility to correct the issues that arose while the watch was in his care. He obviously knows very little about watches, nor how to repair them. He then hung up on me in a rage. I will be contacting the BBB in an effort to protect others from this type of manipulation.
