I would drive here for the 4c pizzas from The Real Good Pizza company. I love that they have Walden Farms calorie-free syrup, Flavor God seasonings, and gym apparel you would only get via online. I was up in Santa Cruz this past Saturday for my maintenance appointment w/ Santa Cruz and planned out my morning strategically to hit this place up before I head back down to San Jose. The pizzas were 4 for $20 or 2 for $10. If you want to eat pizzas and still have it fit your macros then look no further. It tastes pretty amazing. I also bought waffles from The Waffle House (blueberry) and they're delicious. They are only 11g per but if you count your macros, it might be too high if you want to fit a chocolate chip protein cookie in your day, haha. Friendly staff. I cannot wait to come back! read more

At least two different times I have come here to purchase their whey protein because I wanted to try something out, I needed some before I ran out of my current one. I was given helpful advice and tips on which ones may be a good fit for me depending on my workout routine and diet plan. This place is my jam. My wife and I buy our protein powder and pre-workout here and other things. I've been lifting weights for 24 years and doing sports all my life - and what I always hated about supplement shops is meat head mentality and bro-science (I've probably been called a meat head when I was in my 20's). MM just KNOWS their stuff, especially Jordan. Not only will he point you in the right direction, but he delivers in a silky smooth radio'esque announcer voice that just makes you want to spend. In all seriousness, the knowledge, the availability, and - in a time where everything is cheap on Amazon - SUPER good pricing that you just can't justify going online for. There is also food available - meal prep and protein pizzas and enough bars where a freestyle rapper would be jealous. With the help from this shop and my own research, I was able to drop nearly 30lbs for my wedding. Also, I've found that the products I get here don't only help my gym stuff, but helps with my BMX riding - so, to think that you have to be a gym person to appreciate the products here - would be inaccurate. Anybody who's into sports - either competitive or recreationally - should look into what our local supplement shop has to offer. read more

I used to be a customer here. I've spent hundreds of dollars on suggested supplements like many other of their customers. I never thought anything of it bc I use a specific set of supplements that are only available through MM. And then I came in one day to restock and was talked into buying Vanilla drink mix. I didn't protest bc they've never done me sideways. I got my two pre workout supplements plus this new one- it was a cheap rate ONLY if you bought the other stuff. So, I did. I hated it. Not my thing at all. It had a HORRIBLE after taste. So, I went in and said, hey if I pay the difference, can I exchange it? They said no. They told me to try to sell it to someone else. ???? Seriously???? They didn't apologize, didn't offer me another sample of something else, NOTHING. They are not VERY friendly guys but, they know how to make you ripped. I give them an A+ for that part but, if I owned a chain, I'd try to make sure my customers left happy- especially if they are members and spend as much as I have. I live in Santa Cruz and work in another town. I will NEVER give the SC MM my business again. I told the new MM guys about them and they said, "that's their reputation". Seriously? To be greedy owners? You just lost a customer. The new guys took the one I hated (ate the cost) and GAVE me the one I like- FOR FREE. That is a good businessman. So i came to this place because i was in need of a pre workout and i ended up leaving with 2 that i tried and didnt work. I later called and explained what happened and asked to return them (gnc allows this) the man working said no refunds when nowhere on their counter said anything about final sales nor on the receipt. So i go back very frustrated and immediately the man had a look on his face and a attitude when all in wanted was a refund for the product that didnt work for me. So i was forced into buying something else with store credit. The item (a different preworkout) was expensive so i ended up paying the difference.
