It does look the same as it did last year so that's accurate. The shop is actually pretty small as far as the sales floor space but their are lot of jewelry items but not many other items are avaliable. You can come to pawn items but I would not come here to purchase anything. Prices are way over normal retail prices. If you buy jewelry here, you are buying it at a loss. A lot of the same items priced differently. Great nostalgic visit. But that's where the fun stops.

I don't have children to pass them on to. I'm sure many people experience similar feelings when inheriting pieces. Neil and his team were straightforward and explained everything clearly. I can now take the proceeds to purchase a piece I would like that will give me joy, and not sadness, bc it belonged to someone who has passed on. 5/5 recommend.

I brought a lot of gold and silver pieces to this place, thinking that I would get good pricing for what I was bringing to them, but no! Less than what the scrap gold was worth at this time and I didn't get credit for the many gems inside the gold like diamonds and emeralds and sapphires, etc. etc. They turned away the plated silver but now I learned that they actually buy that, but they just told me that I just needed to have them trash it. They did, but they probably capitalized on that as well! When it came to the silver, I got less than market value at the time. Only because the buyers, will tell you that it's because "they don't have access to their actual profit for 30 days. These guys are such "shyster's." Stay away if you know you want what your metals are worth! JUST GONNA DROP OWNER RESPONSE HERE SO I CAN COMMENT ON IT. THIS HERE: Brenda Porter let me tell you the truth like I told you when you came into the store everything I buy I have to hold for 30 days. It has to go through the police department to make sure it's not stolen. This is called a state law. Maybe you break the law, but we don't we buy things based on the resale value unfortunately as I told you when gold is almost at $5000 a lot of items are not as resealable as they once were how is that being decisive? How is that being rude? I simply told you the truth we have to buy things for less than the scrap goal value I agree what did I do? That's so wrong that you leave me a one star review very disrespectful on your end, especially from a local MY RESPONSE: You have no idea what you're talking about Neil. I infused this review with a response that you made to me last night about the 30 day thing. But, I actually traded this stuff into you more than 4 months ago, so go ahead and backpedal on that and make it sound like you're not a bunch of shysters! Let me make this clear as well, I did not call you before that visit that I brought those sale items/precious metals etc in on the trade day!! So go ahead, defend that as well. You are literally making my point and only making you Look more like the liar that I contend that you are! If you want to try and defend something, unsuccessfully, tell me why you didn't give me credit for all the diamonds and gems that were in the jewelry pieces that I asked your buyer about at the time?? Said he would get back to it, but he didn't. You work so tirelessly at defending your company and your practice that you lose time and dimension! @ Joe's response, you also do not know what you speak about. It's reflected in your response! Actual one carat, and 2 carat, plus stones... As for the rest of it

I walked in on a Friday morning and was the only person in the small shop, but no more than 2 minutes later, the shop was filled with about six or seven other people, all of whom knew Cleve and the security guard. Luckily I had gotten there first and his guy in the back was already working on my watches. In the meantime, I got to talked him about some of the coins and other wares that he had in his store and listened to the interesting conversations from everybody else coming in. They were only able to replace the batteries in three of my watches, and did so in about 5 minutes for $5 a pop. The other two, he recommended a jewelry repair shop down the road called Ed's. It was a very short experience but a very pleasurable one and something that you rarely see anymore. It's almost like I was on Mayberry Street in. Andy Griffith. ... absolutely BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!! Let me explain: We've…read moreall learned that when something is too good to be true, it just might be. While doing some routine online shopping, I discovered some extremely well priced "925 SOLID STERLING SILVER MEN'S CUBAN NECKLACES" on the website of one of the 10 top retailers in America. They were handsome. They were underpriced. ... and I assumed (wrongly) that the inventory prices might be lagging the price increases in precious metals, (ahem!), so I purchased a few in different lengths and waited for my (explicitly stated) FREE DELIVERY. When they arrived, my husband and I marveled at their weight and handsome mirror finish. They were all stamped 925. My husband sells on eBay and we discussed ordering some more, holding them and potentially reselling them there if/when the price of silver continued to increase. In other words, we invested in them thinking we had spotted an opportunity. We ordered MORE. He researched other similar items on eBay and the prices already were much more expensive and proposed listing one to test the market. At this point I must have felt some sense of caution because I decided that I personally didn't want to sell anything that I wasn't 100% sure about... but I didn't know HOW could I be sure without potentially damaging the necklace. I asked AI where to test sterling in Las Vegas and on 1/29/25, I called Nevada Coin & Jewelry feeling uncomfortable because I had no interest in buying anything. I spoke to Laura and she was warm and gracious while explaining that they had equipment that could assess the exact metallic composition of an item without harming it. Within an hour I was THERE. Laura took me to a private booth where nobody could hear me or look over my shoulder and evaluated three items including one necklace. (FREE!) She didn't make me feel stupid. She allowed me to photograph the screen that displayed the instantaneous analysis. Guess what? My big box major retailer product, listed, sold, packaged and marked as 925 sterling turned out to be: 90%+ copper. Soooooo, What's next? A whole can of worms as my dad would have said. I'm holding a few hundred dollars worth of garbage that needs time and work to obtain a refund and apology (?) for fraud and online misrepresentation. Trust me, I don't believe that this major retailer with a good reputation will want to ignore this type of threat to their good will with the public. But as a former corporate person in both product development and marketing, it's hard to believe they didn't do more testing themselves. When I do resolve this issue and am made whole for my purchases AND my time and inconvenience, I will return to this review and post the outcome story. PLEASE tell Nevada Coin & Jewelry that you saw this and say "hi" to Laura for ME!!! Thank you LAURA!!!

I also had a few very nice rings that I wasn't going to bring out right at the beginning. I had a project on Yelp and made it pretty clear that I was looking to resell a ring. I was trying to find an actual jewelry store that purchases rings, not a pawn shop type of place that gets rid of the diamonds and melts the gold down for weight. Basically that's exactly who these guys turned out to be. The person who spoke to me was rude and supercilious right from the beginning, not very pleasant. He barely even had a chance to take a glance at my ring when he said "very generic". Didn't bother to get out a loupe and look at the diamonds, wasn't interested in really discussing anything. Huge turn off! I think I'd have a much better experience at a pawn shop than at this place. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here for anything. Take your money to a different jewelry store that might appreciate your business.
