Had a brand new deck to sell, that (according to their website) they should have had no problem with purchasing. Before we could even the touch the door, security met us there: "Just so you guys [we're two small women] know we don't take large electronics. Can you tell me which way you're heading so I can help direct you leaving the lot." We refused to provide that information and promptly left. Not only could we not sell anything there; we were not even allowed inside the building-- and instructed to leave. No provocation, no explanation. I'm only giving it a two because the initial employee who I think is possibly a manager and the security guard were helpful and kind while helping me find a bday gift for my son. Unfortunately, that is the only positive interaction or thing I have to say about this newer location. I purchased a used Gucci watch for a little over $600 for my son. While going to have a link removed the employee/manager noticed the watch itself wasn't working. She put a new battery in it and.... Still wasn't working. So we agreed to have the watch picked up by their jeweler/repair guy and wait roughly a week (is what we were told). A week goes by..... no call, so I call and check on the status. It's still out for repairs and I'm told they will call me when they get it back. Another week goes by and I have to call and ask again..... Still out for repairs. ANOTHER week and a half goes by and I call the store again. A younger sounding gentleman answers and explains they are having problems with their repair guy and MANY watches/jewelry pieces have been delayed. I tell him it's almost been a month now and I think this is ridiculous. I asked if we can just get our money back since we never actually physically had the watch and this is THEIR fault or responsibility to sell properly working jewelry/watches especially when a customer spends that amount of money. He said there's no refunds. I then ask if we can just get in store credit so I can take my son to one of the other locations to pick something else out for his bday. He proceeded to tell me that he's "not sure that's possible" but they are really busy in the store and he needed to get off the phone with me so he could help tend to all of the customers IN the store. Said I needed to call back later and speak with the manager and hung up the phone! Here it is a month later and I STILL haven't received a call. Not one. Not even a curtesy call to keep me updated or reassure me. STILL don't have my son's watch or a refund or in store credit and STILL have to be the one making contact and trying to get this resolved. This entire experience really kind of ruined it for me with Max Pawn. Once this gets resolved I won't ever be shopping here or at the other two locations again. Super frustrating and upsetting. Not a very good 1st impression for a brand new store location. read more

Man i've been to every single pawn shop in town as i do alot of business with watches. & today i came in just to check out this new establishment to see how they are compared to every other shop in town. Wow was i surprised, i know this is a new shop but man are you guys severely GROSSLY over priced. Anyone with access to google can see current market values. To the point where watch collectors won't even want to make a deal with you guys. For example you have a Rolex Submariner two tone with blue face. & you guys wanted $28k which if you look as of today you can buy a better condition watch with original box and paperwork/warranty card for $22k. Your watch doesn't even come with any paperwork or box not to mention the watch was sub-par condition at most. The band super loose & scratches on bracelet. Next you had a Rolex Daytona you were asking $35k with no box or paperwork & you can look it up todays market you can literally google and buy one for $24-32k. Thats just off two examples of watches i was looking at. Lastly i brought in a Black Submariner as a trade in reference 16610 in great condition with box & the guy with glasses who knew nothing about the watch, didnt even bother to open it, or do his due diligence to educate himself on current market values, was only going to offer me $7k. Smfh. I saw you the whole time you didnt even bother to thoroughly check the watch out. It could've been a fake & you wouldve lowballed it cause you didnt even check the watch out. But wow 7k? What a SLAP in my face. Any watch guy knows in this current market this watch will sell on your floor but because your employee chose to be greedy, yeah no deal. I asked him where he can find some clean submariners at that price and he said you wont find that price for a sub anywhere. No kidding jack*ss. I dont know how you guys expect to keep this place open with that type of attitude. Keep this up & you guys are gonna be selling to Super Pawn or just turn this place into an EZ pawn cause all you guys are doing is pissing off real watch guys & wasting our time. Its sad.. i ended up purchasing a very nice Datejust from another pawn shop the very same day to fill the void of your employee's poor customer service. Mark my words as being the first reviewer on here... I for sure do not see this store surviving more then a year.. let alone 6 months. Educate your employees on today's current market values before you start pissing people off who owns over $100,000 in watches currently.. I REFUSE to do business with this store. This place is such trash.. brought an item in & they happened to have the same thing for sale. They were asking $14,000 for it.. they checked my item out and said they would give me $7000. Then I ask them if they would sell me the same one they were selling for $7000 mind you mine is in way better condition. They said they wouldn't do that and that I won't find one for that price.
