I provided it and also mentioned that it was my first visit. He asked that I sign in, expressed his appreciation for my visit, and asked if I would like a drink. I was assigned to Michelle, who introduced herself and was extremely pleasant and kind throughout our interaction. I asked about the price because I did not see any signs posted. I'm happy to say that the amount I was quoted was exactly what I paid at checkout, which I paid in cash. Since many establishments now charge credit card fees, I came prepared to avoid that issue. Before I start, I want to mention that I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. Honestly, this rating feels more like a 2.5-star experience because there were some positives. My nail technician, Jocelyn, was kind and did her best. Unfortunately, what I witnessed during my appointment completely overshadowed the experience. A friend and I visited Blue Sky Nails & Spa during a long layover from Baltimore Airport. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming host and then directed to the pedicure area in the back. Everything started off well. My nail technician was Jocelyn, and my friend's technician was Mimi. Jocelyn had already been working on my service for about 15 minutes when Mimi arrived to begin my friend's appointment. What happened next made both my friend and me extremely uncomfortable. Jocelyn had positioned her cart in a spot that wasn't bothering anyone and wasn't interfering with another guest receiving a pedicure. Instead of politely asking for space or moving her own cart, Mimi forcefully bumped Jocelyn's cart and told her to move. What followed felt less like a workplace disagreement and more like bullying. The interaction continued in front of customers, creating a very awkward environment. To her credit, Jocelyn remained professional and focused on her work. She stayed quiet for most of the exchange and simply explained that the behavior was inappropriate in front of guests. Eventually the situation settled down, but the tension remained for the rest of our services. I don't know the history between these two employees, and frankly, that's none of my business. What I do know is that customers should never be made part of workplace conflict. My friend and I were both uncomfortable, and at one point I genuinely wanted to stand up for Jocelyn because the situation felt unfair and unnecessary. As for the pedicure itself, it was good overall. Unfortunately my gel polish started lifting and peeling less than a week later. I appreciate that many people have had great experiences here, but this was ours. It was disappointing, especially because I brought a friend there after a long flight hoping we could relax and enjoy ourselves. My hope is that Blue Sky Nails & Spa creates a more supportive and professional environment for its staff because what I witnessed that day was not something customers should have to see. I visited this salon for the first time as I need a fill in and a pedicure. I walked in and was pleasantly seated immediately. The place was pretty busy at the time so I assumed that the service would match the review. Boy was I wrong. My entire service felt rushed. The technician that helped me really did not pay any attention to detail. My nails are not even and very crooked. He did not know how to do the French tips so I had to wait on another technician to be able to do it. And because she was working on someone already, she rushed my tips. I don't even want to post my pedicure because it's terrible. The polish is not fully covered on my big toe and I had to rip off the top coat because it was bunched up on the side of my toe. All and all they really just want to get people in and out as quickly as possible without paying any attention to the customer. I have a nail technician in Delaware that I see regularly but couldn't get to him so I thought this would be a good compromise. Boy was I wrong. My boyfriend and I went to get our nails done, primarily for the foot massage. I requested a regular service, but they ended up giving me gel polish for an additional $20 after constantly insteading after I said multiple times I was ok with regular. Both of our nail technicians started working on our feet at the same time with the same package. However, my nail technician seemed to be rushing through the process. I couldn't relax and enjoy the experience because she was moving so quickly! There were no other customers, so I'm not sure why she was in such a hurry. They weren't about to close either so I really don't understand why she was rushing everything. On the other hand, my boyfriend's nail technician took her time. I'm disappointed because this was our first visit, and it will likely be our last. Given the prices, I expected them to take their time instead of rushing through everything. read more

I should've left when I noticed the nail tech did not used sterilized equipment!! She was not friendly. I had a gel manicure done for MY WEDDING. Typically, when I get French manicure they'll do a pink color underneath the tips, she did not do that and I had to request it. Then, immediately when I left I was not happy with the quality of the French tips, one was smeared and most of them did not go across my entire nail, then when it started peeling the next day, I was devastated. The photos are four days after getting them done and it looks more like four weeks. I typically go to Purity nails in Pasadena and have never been disappointed, I just didn't want to drive there initially but now I will have to so these can be re-done. I am NOT happy. The salon itself is nice, the person at the desk was friendly. But overall I would never go here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. read more

This is the third salon I've tried in Baltimore. It keeps getting better and better. Almost there!! I came in for a regular pedicure, an acrylic fill in with gel polish and reshapes nails. Total: $95 bucks. Everyone was polite. The salon was well lit, bright and extremely clean. It's so pretty in there! Impressive!! Wine, coffee or tea would put the icing on the cake for me. Hence the reason for the 4 star review instead of 5. It was the closest nail salon to the hotel. As well as the airport. But the conversation had me dying LOL she kept going on and on and on about you need to get a rich husband. However she did tell me about her first husband and how abusive he was. The pedicure was okay. Literally it was just okay. The massage was Ultra weak. I went in for a gel pedicure and dip manicure and came out with the worst pedicure and manicure I've honestly ever gotten and a foot that feels like it's been shaved to the bone. I had one woman do both services. I feel like this was the first manicure and pedicure she's ever done. During the pedicure she just kept shaving and shaving away at my foot. I asked her to stop because it felt like it was getting raw, so her response to that was to take the scrub brush and go at it even more. I've been getting dip manicures for over a year now and could pretty much recite the steps. I think woman was honestly just winging it here. Came here for a walk in gel mani and surprisingly was taken to a chair within 5 minutes. The nail tech was very nice and personable. She was gentle, especially after I explained to her that I had been growing my natural nails out and wanted them to be healthy. Cost is standard for a gel mani. I went in for a simple pedicure, and when I got to the salon the man working on my feet was trying to get me to do the more expensive pedicure I refused. After that he suggested I do Gel polish which is $20 more I refused. Once he saw that I was not taking the bait he did a poor job on my pedicure. He even tried to skip the foot scrub that was included with my pedicure until I called him out on it. I noticed the foot scrub he did for literally 1 minute, and the hot towels was about a minute and a half. The amount of time stated on the pedicure menu for the specific one I picked was supposed to between 35-38 mins. My pedicure was done in 17 minutes!!!! I've had terrible service at restaurants and bad quality service before but I have never, ever took it upon myself to write anyone a negative review until today. I hate my nails so much I could cry. I am so disappointed in the attention to detail and quality of service I received from one of the male techs. Everything seemed to be okay until he started with the polish and everything just got bulky and the painting wasn't even covering the entire nail. He wasn't even going to clean the glue and acrylic from under my nail beds had I not requested. One of my nails also has what looks like tiny bubbles in the paint. I'm very disappointed. I also received an eyebrow threading and pedicure from a woman.. she was very sweet and did a great job. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Found this one and chose it because of fellow yelper Steve J! States appointment only online, but I called ahead and they were able to take me. Had been so busy and needed a good pedicure. I was a bit worried since the nail cutting and buffing was quick, but everything after was finely done. A fabulous callus rub and meticulous care of the cuticle cutting. They have the nice OPI brand as well as a few others I wasn't as familiar with, but I'm not that high maintenance or fancy to know. Got a basic pedicure $40, thought that included the gel, turns out its an extra $20 for gel..... wasnt told about the extra price... never been to a nail salon where it was THAT much extra. Got a full set ... 55 thats fair, 5$ extra for coffin shape, thats fair. But she randomly added $10 "for the design.. i got French tip. Toe quality is fine but the nails i basically had to baby sit her the whole time. First time she applied base coat she didnt even cover the whole nail, then added a second base coat that was a more pink color and had to ask her to color match both sides... there are hairs and bubbles in every single of my my nails. I constantly was asking her to correct simple things. The place is over all disgusting. To add... she left monomer all over my skin and cudicals... not even the lotion will cover it haha. Very great and efficient service! I received a "Spa Ritual" pedicure. She took her time to get all of the dead skin off. I will say, she didn't do a lotion massage at all which I found strange. The only thing she did was put a sugar scrub on my legs. That is the reason for the 4 stars. I also got my eye brows done, which turned out great. The prices are average.
