We had the most wonderful Mother's Day brunch at Max's Table today! The hostess, Theresa, is fabulous! From the time we arrived to the time we left everything was top notch. Corn beef hash is brilliant. Travel here if you have to. Don't miss this. Ask them to make it crispy for a nice crust on each side. Add some scallions and drape with over-medium eggs for a breakfast you will want regularly. read more

Everything was fantastic!! Thank you Yelp! We were greated by a friendly lady who informed us "everything is good, Max the owner gets here at 5am and starts everything himself and then cooks all day, and it shows. My husband got the shrimp and grits special. According to the manager they had one guy dedicated to the dish and made it to order. The flavors of peppers, tomato, andoulli, and shrimp were a savory heaven, and the grits were the creamy mouthfeel you hope they'll be. My son got the short stack. 3 huge, soft, fluffy pancakes served with fresh berries on the side. I got the corn beef hash and eggs, Max makes it fresh each day with grilled onions and potatoes. So.yum. my poached eggs were perfect. For my side I chose the cheesy grits. No regrets, again, heaven. My daughter was in the lunch mood and got the Mediterranean wrap. It was stuffed full of chicken, feta, cucumber, kalamata olives, lettuce, onion, tomato and a creamy Greek dressing. It was served with super crispy, tasty, fries. We all shared the Belgian waffle topped with cream anglaise, and fresh blueberries and strawberries. It came with table syrup but for a small upcharge you could order pure maple syrup. We are on are way south but already plan to stop by on our way back north in a week just to try other things. Dishes kept floating by our table on the way to other customers that looked phenomenal,; fresh salads, creamy soups, omelettes, burgers, you name it. Check it out, you wont be sorry. read more

I rarely take the time to review places, but I know I need to convey how absolutely spectacular Max's Table is. I have been here roughly twenty times and no matter how many times I go, I am never disappointed. The wait staff is incredible, the dining room is always immaculate, the ownership is always there at some point during the day and is always receptive to questions or comments. There is a lot you can say about a place as good as this, but the bottom line is the food. No matter what I have gotten it has always been beyond my expectations. Whether it's the Carnivore Omelette or the Breakfast Burrito or Max's Omelette or their Patty Melt, the Huevos Rancheros, or the fish Tacos, there is not a single thing on the menu that will disappoint. They serve great, strong coffee as well as wonderfully flavorful mimosas and bellinis and the GREATEST Bloody Mary I have ever had. Max's Table is one of the finest restaurants in the greater Sarasota area, and simply put one of the finest establishments I have ever patronized. New restaurant in town. Absolutely fantastic. We've been there for both breakfast and lunch and both times have left incredibly satisfied. Breakfast burrito was amazing. Juevos rancheros were unreal, and our kids got chocolate chip pancakes that were bigger than their heads. Lunch menu is great and the servers were fantastic. Owners are friendly and gracious. Not the most scenic location on 41 by walmart and a gas station, but the food and service are top notch. This place is often overflowing with people on the weekend but we stopped on a weekday for a late breakfast. Omelettes and pancakes were excellent and the service was excellent. Dog friendly in their covered outdoor seating. read more

My Aunt read the review in the In Style magazine and wanted to try it out. It definitely did not disappoint! The biscuits and gravy are as good as everyone says, they know how to cook a mean cheesy grit, and my husband raved about the corned beef hash. My niece had the Nutella pancakes and my sister and I each had Max's Biscuit which packs a little of every breakfast taste you could ask for on one plate! Oh and my Aunt ate every bite of her Belgium waffle that was fluffy inside and crisped perfectly on the outside. Awesome find, won't stay a hidden gem long! Highly recommended, go eat!!! read more

Had lunch there today with 25 ladies from my neighborhood. Service was quick and food was warm and delicious. I've had quite a few fish tacos around town and I have to say, this was one of the best. Love Max's Table. I had the most perfect breakast ever this past Sunday. My Classic Traditional Eggs Bene was the best ever. The decor and the menu offerings are a little more special than your run-of-the-mill breakfast diner. If it were a little closer to me this would be a first choice to take overnight houseguests. The covered outdoor seating (not facing the road! Yay!) was a plus. I sat at the counter and the entire staff were pleasant to each other and the customers. They even happily agree to make a sandwich for me that wasn't on the menu. The negatives for me were the noise level (I was at the counter) and the french fries.
