I had a phone interview with this firm for a Legal Assistant role. We scheduled an in-person interview however on the day of I had car issues and needed to reschedule. The representative asked me to send her some alternative times for a reschedule. I did and then haven't heard a single thing back even after follow-up emails and voicemails. Please read: I want to share my experience with Maxwell and Morgan, P.C. (Specifically Tylor Myers) I had an extremely negative experience with this firm, particularly with Tylor Myers, who handled my HOA case. Instead of resolving the issue fairly, Tylor enabled my HOA to bully me into paying over 300% more than what I originally owed. I had missed two quarterly payments, and by December the amount was $384. Through a series of unexplained and excessive fees, that number ballooned to nearly $2,000. After I made full payment in January, Tylor continued to delay processing it. When I contacted them in February to explain that the HOA portal was still locked and I couldn't make future payments, I warned that this could lead to more fees if not resolved before April. Tylor assured me the account would be unlocked soon. Fast forward to April, and the account was still locked. When I followed up again, Tylor said they'd reach out to the HOA and that the portal would be unlocked within 24 hours. It finally was--but not without yet another $20 fee added to my April payment. This behavior is predatory and unethical. The firm operates under the guise of legal representation, but what they really do is enable HOAs to exploit and financially drain homeowners. It's clear Maxwell and Morgan, P.C. thrives on technicalities, delays, and excessive fees. As far as I can tell, their entire business revolves around HOA law, and they do not serve the interests of regular people. I strongly advise anyone to avoid doing business with Maxwell and Morgan, P.C. They do not stand for fairness, ethics, or transparency. Represented our association four years and collected nothing. Homeowners have tried to settle what they owe and are ignored. They take what members owe and triple it in attorney fees. Hoping to foreclose on all of them many years later for a big pay day vs. monthly collections. Don't walk Run from them. read more

They made an arrangement with me to repay my HOA dues then sent the agreement to an attorney that wasn't even representing me to have signed. They never said a word to me about it or sent me the contract directly. The attorney the said they sent it to never received it. They then used that to justify exercising the writ of execution on my foreclosure. They lied to me and they lied to the court to justify stealing my home. I'm going to be filing a bar complaint and I'm looking at my options to file a countersuit. read more

Worse ever they represent HOA to take your house, they go to court for $12 late payment and file for thousands of attorneys fees

This company represents my HOA and they do not care about the community at all. My HOA Board President and the Management company (Heywood) have secret, undocumented meetings, change our Bylaws, change community rules and regulations, all without homeowners' knowledge, vote or approval. When the attorney Austin Baillio is contacted about these things, he will not talk to ANYONE unless it's the one actually writing his check (which the Board President approves his invoices, and the Heywood Management cuts the check). I have repeatedly sent documentation, showing that things are being mismanaged and go against Arizona Revised Statues and he doesn't even acknowledge my existence. This company is shady and has unethical practices. Arizona laws or not, they do not care, they care about the hand that feeds them. read more

I've only interacted with one attorney from this lawfirm, but I suspect she was representative of them as a whole. Cutt-throat and no interest in your humanity or personal trials, simply after milking as much out of you as they can. I've known so many attorneys with immense amounts of integrity, not my experience at all with this lawfirm. read more

This is worst of the worst companies to work with. They have zero ethics and all they are interested in doing is run up the billable hours. There is no moral compass and simple questions about why they had handwritten numbers got turned into consultation fees. I had questions on their charges and it took multiple request to get clarification and they had the audacity to charge fees for the email clarification. read more
