They have a huge selection of empanadas. Everything from vegetarian or carne filled & sweet delicious delights. The empanadas are made fresh each day with real ingredients and paired with special sauces. My favorite is the Blackberry, Lavender sweet empanada. It is so smooth, just the right amount of sweetness with the mellow flavor of blackberries and lavender. They will become your addiction.

I so look forward to coming here every time I'm in Fort Collins! My favorite empanada is the Ham & Cheese. They're tasty, well made, super cheesy, always fresh and super aesthetic. This time I got the hame and cheese (duh), kale, and the special chili relleno. My phone did not eat first, but I got a few pics of the kale. Service is always quick. Angel knows his stuff and can answer any questions and gives great recommendations. Thanks!!

Our only problem with this place is that we couldn't stop eating them! The crust is so tasty they could literally serve them empty and they would still be delicious! We had chicken, pork, chocolate espresso, lemon curd, coconut, chocolate raspberry. I'd still be there ordering more if my wife didn't drag me out if their modest store front. But don't let the look of the place deter you!

Finding My Empanadas can be confusing but it's 100% worth it once you get there! We went there today for the first time because I saw on Facebook that they had a Cuitlacoche (corn mushroom) special and I've always wanted to try Cuitlacoche. Unfortunately, they were sold out but we still got some delicious food! My spouse got the Cochinita Pibil (Mayan red pork) with pink habanero sauce. I got the mushroom with hot tomato sauce. Neither sauce was too hot for me on the empanadas (I am a spice wimp) which surprised me. And we got a peach empanada to share. They kindly offered to warm them up for us. I also got a horchata (not pictured) and my spouse got a bottled Coke. It was SO good! Excellent car food, too. We definitely hope to go back soon.

Have been eyeing this place. So many empanadas so little time Got couple savory ones the beef and chi mole Chicken it comes with little sauce. It's half cook so anyone can bake it at home which I did, I also have one almond empanadas - almost like dessert. The pastry crust are sooo good. All three comes like 17 dollars and change including tax. Not bad !

I have been in love with this place since 2020, it's a must-stop for me every time I'm in Fort Collins. Recent highlights for me include: the mozzarella, the pork, the espresso creme, the jalapeno 'burger' special one; but they're all so good that you have to switch up what you get each time! And I think the Campus West location is a much better fit than when they were east of campus. Our last time there, the man behind the counter was so nice. 10/10

I visited My Empanadas on a whim in January 2022 while in town for a wedding. You might notice that I am writing this review seven months after my first and only visit to My Empanadas. That is because I remember this spectacular food vividly. I dream of these empanadas. I am writing this review because I just checked the website yet again to see if there is an option to ship to Ohio. Unfortunately there is not. If you are lucky enough to be near this restaurant, please stop in and eat a few empanadas for me. You won't regret it. Everything is amazing, but I wake up salivating when I dream of those salted toffee empanadas. What a disaster that I am living over a thousand miles away. If anyone who works at My Empanadas is willing to ship some for me, let me know. I'll pay.

This was our first time picking up food here and the gentleman at the counter walked us through the choices. We got some to eat, some to freeze, a mix of savory and sweet. Really delicious food. We could have easily polished them all off, but they really catch up to you about a half hour later, so consider using restraint. Definitely will be back.

As someone who grew up eating empanadas in south florida, i was very excited to try some out here. I dont think ive ever been so disappointed after eating an empanada. I dont remember what i had but it was 4 different empanadas. People seem to love this place so each their own but if youre looking for a legit empanada, this aint it. read more

So. YUMMY. We kind of decided to try this place on a whim and we are so happy we did. The empanadas were warm upon delivery, the order was accurate, and packaged neatly. We also got a horchata which was perfectly not too sweet. The empanadas were stuffed well and the dough was flaky and buttery. I think we'll be coming back here again and again :) read more

So I know nothing about Empanadas... I do love pastry and sauce of any kind... So I stopped here after passing it on my way home from a bike ride (right off Mason Trail)... and just whoa. These are so incredibly good, they may have ruined all other food for me. I got the kale and the beef which were both amazing... Then I got the kale, the beef, and the pistachio to go. The pastry shell is partially cooked... So you can finish baking them at home in 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure which one I like best because they are also incredible. The sauces that they are each paired with are ridiculous. I really don't have vocabulary to properly express how good these are. The pistachio may be the best dessert I've ever eaten in my life. Very delicious empanadas. I'm also a person who loves a myriad of dipping sauces, so I'm in heaven with this. The dough in these empanadas is absolutely phenomenal. Try their pink habanero sauce and the herb Serrano if you like spicy - it hits! read more

We have had terrible luck with ordering food during the time of Covid. It seems like every single place gets our order wrong; takes 3 hours, etc. Today? Today our faith was restored in delivered food thanks to My Empanadas! My husband rode his bike past this place the other day and came home saying "I don't know what they make in there, but it smells amazing!" So we searched out the restaurant and gave them a try tonight. We ordered their Party Platter (2 of each kind) plus a few extra. They were delicious! It was fun trying the variety with all of the different sauces. Delivery was fast (despite it being Super Bowl Sunday!), order was perfectly filled, and the delivery person was very polite. I was introduced to these by my wife, who stumbled upon them on Instagram of all places. She ordered them for her CSU office and they went nuts! So we had them for dinner and . . . Believe the hype!! The (3) varieties currently offered are vegetarian, Chimole chicken and Cochinita Pibil (pork, not the Cuban-American musician with a really thin mustache). Dipping sauces are piquillo pepper and pink habanero/onion. These are fresh like your neighbor made them and brought them over straight out the oven. Given the state of Mexican cuisine in Fort Collins (average at best), you would do well to plan ahead and contact Mayan Empanadas ASAP, so you can sit down to fresh, exciting and adventurous food. read more

My Empanadas is a terrible place to eat. The floors were disgusting and sticky. The empanada I got when I was there was cold and had a funny taste to it. I have eaten here before and had a good time being served by one of the slingers but this time the short, younger lady with dark hair was serving me and simply unable to accommodate my needs. A great find!! Had the combo for two plus a veggy one. All were excellent and totally different from the other variety except for the flaky crust on all. The sauces were all tasty and not retreads of the usual salsas. My hubby even liked the veggy!I We haven't tried the pumpkin dessert yet but it smells decadent. I would give them 5 stars based on their incredibly smooth, creamy flan alone, but everything else is delicious as well! We've gotten takeout twice in the last month and haven't been disappointed by anything. All the regular empanadas are fantastic though I think the newer mushroom one is my current favorite. The ham and cheese puff pastry empanada is slightly sweet and reminds me of a Monte Cristo (which I love). The rotating dessert empanadas make me want to go there every single day. Even the soups are good and the homemade horchata is decadently sweet. I would recommend getting one of everything! read more

History

Established in 2019.

Previously called My Empanadas, we started out as a virtual restaurant, with pick up and delivery only, out of a shared kitchen. In 2020 we opened our first storefront on Prospect Road, off the bike trail. In 2022 we opened our main location on Elizabeth Street, with our full bakery & kitchen, then closed our prospect location in 2023.

Meet the Business Owner: Morgan C.

Morgan & Azael are the founders and business owners. Azael is the chef/ food creator while Morgan handles more of the business side. Married in San Francisco, they relocated back to Morgan’s hometown of Fort Collins to open their dream restaurant.

Oh man, this brie-gooing mushroomy sweet-caramelly onion spinach umami explosion goes perfectly taken in a bite with the salmon. Addiction sated; withdrawals saved off until next June's visit. Wife's crêpe was delicious--everything sweet-toothers love. Hot chocolate is real. Like not from a packet but from a chocco chunk and paid labor somewhere nearby. Whipped cream was real, and thick enough that it could have been sliced and served on its own. Absolutely freaking delicious. Love this place. See you in a year!

My friend started and ended with the same appetizer and dessert, but otherwise chose the dal makhani, chicken vindaloo, and garlic naan. We both had chai to drink. Everything was so good! I have to say that I was glad to have asked for mild/medium spice - it was right at the edge but not over my tolerance level. If there was a reason not to share combos it would be because we'd fight over the momos - it was a good thing we had 2 orders. Both dals were tasty, but I think I will stick with dal makhani in the future. I wish I could remember which curry I had because it was unlike anything I've tried before and delicious. I had a taste of the vindaloo, too - I enjoyed the bite I had, but with the spice level I couldn't have eaten a whole serving. The gulab jamun was the best I've ever had - completely soaked through with the syrup giving it the most delightful texture. My lunch buddy likened it to homemade. The service was helpful but not overbearing - offering opinions on the menu when asked, checking in to make sure we were happy, explaining a little bit about regional Indian food (eg the inclusion of Indo-Chinese on the menu), etc. It was nice that the owner stopped by to thank us for coming in, and that our server kept the chai flowing. I could have happily sat there drinking chai and enjoying the calming ambiance (on point with beautiful blue walls and light fixtures) all afternoon if there weren't the small matter of having to go back to work.

Further confirmation neither of us like pilsners, that one wasn't great, and the Old Doods stout wasn't our jam either. It was a lovely day, so we sat outdoors relatively early on a Sunday. I wouldn't complain if I was at a park but I am at a BREWERY. Kids are screaming and running around, and that is not relaxing.

I'm addicted! I brought some of their empanadas to a family birthday party and everyone loved them and ended up eating them all (I was genuinely bummed I didn't get any leftovers!). The adults AND kids couldn't get enough, they are so easy to eat, perfectly filling and flavorful! They were such a hit that I will be ordering more for parties in the future.
