My husband was riding by this shop on Prospect, came home, and took me out for lunch and what a great surprise! I love empanadas and often talk about opening an empanada truck, but there's no reason to do that with this wonderful restaurant in Fort Collins. The food is delicious, the prices are just right, and we highly recommend you give them a try. We tried four of them and enjoyed them all. I am partial to the pork and my husband really enjoyed the steak. For vegetarians, there were two options. We ate the Kale and enjoyed it. Extra special was enjoying a flan between us. We love flan! This did not disappoint in that the caramel sauce was deep and delicious! This little place is going on my "must support" during Covid-19 list and beyond. read more

So I know nothing about Empanadas... I do love pastry and sauce of any kind... So I stopped here after passing it on my way home from a bike ride (right off Mason Trail)... and just whoa. These are so incredibly good, they may have ruined all other food for me. I got the kale and the beef which were both amazing... Then I got the kale, the beef, and the pistachio to go. The pastry shell is partially cooked... So you can finish baking them at home in 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure which one I like best because they are also incredible. We have had terrible luck with ordering food during the time of Covid. It seems like every single place gets our order wrong; takes 3 hours, etc. Today? Today our faith was restored in delivered food thanks to My Empanadas! My husband rode his bike past this place the other day and came home saying "I don't know what they make in there, but it smells amazing!" So we searched out the restaurant and gave them a try tonight. We ordered their Party Platter (2 of each kind) plus a few extra. They were delicious! I was introduced to these by my wife, who stumbled upon them on Instagram of all places. She ordered them for her CSU office and they went nuts! So we had them for dinner and . . . Believe the hype!! The (3) varieties currently offered are vegetarian, Chimole chicken and Cochinita Pibil (pork, not the Cuban-American musician with a really thin mustache). Dipping sauces are piquillo pepper and pink habanero/onion. These are fresh like your neighbor made them and brought them over straight out the oven. Given the state of Mexican cuisine in Fort Collins (average at best), you would do well to plan ahead and contact Mayan Empanadas ASAP, so you can sit down to fresh, exciting and adventurous food. read more

My Empanadas is a terrible place to eat. The floors were disgusting and sticky. The empanada I got when I was there was cold and had a funny taste to it. I have eaten here before and had a good time being served by one of the slingers but this time the short, younger lady with dark hair was serving me and simply unable to accommodate my needs.
