This is my favorite Indian food truck!! Food is absolutely amazing and the staff are so kind and down to earth. They gave us great recommendations when we didn't know what to order and we loved everything we got, in addition to being able to customize spice level as I am not someone who can handle my heat. My meal was the perfect spice level for me. They have a cute seating area with string lights and heaters for evening visits, and plenty of tables and chairs so don't shy away coming with a group. Meals came with paratha, rice, raita, and a gulab Jamun. Curries and main dishes were a generous portion that I wasn't able to finish. Falooda and mango lassi were both 10/10 compliments to the meal as well. Overall highly recommend this spot! Will be back next time I'm craving Indian food.

This is simply my favorite Indian food truck + restaurant in the area! The first time I visited was during their opening week quite a while ago now and I've taken a long time to write a review. They waited 10 minutes beyond closing time for me to pickup the food the first time and the owner Paul also offered me complimentary chai (and also a few times after that, whenever I went to pickup food). I'd say I've visited once every week or at least every other week and have pretty much tried all of the menu and each dish has its own unique authentic flavor, and I'm blown away by that. While I'd vouch for every single dish, I definitely have my favorites. Kohlapuri Desi Murgh - Probably one of their trademark dishes. Great portions of both the dish and the chicken, slightly smoky gravy with flavor of coconut very authentic. Definitely the best version of this dish I've had in the Bay Area. The dish itself is not super oily but I make a special request to keep it lower. Ghazali Maratha Chicken - Tomato based gravy, slightly tangy because of the same. You get couple of chicken leg pieces with the dish. Again, good portions. I do highly recommend it. Shalimar Egg Mughlai Hara Masala - Green colored gravy with a significant flavor of garlic and cilantro. Super rich without being heavy on butter! Anda Keema Pav - It was different from a traditional keema for me. I expected this to be a dryer dish but it was not. It was not a "Keema". I was doubtful if they gave me a different egg dish but well I tried all of their egg dishes so probably not. Delicious, nevertheless, so I didn't care. The egg dishes come with Pav typically, and here as well. Peri Peri Paneer Sandwich - This is a repeat order from me. They grill it so well and it makes it sorta crunchy which is my favorite part. Lightly spiced paneer with mayo/peri peri sauce. Comes with chips (lays). Soya Chaap (Thali) - Creamy gravy as you can see in the picture. I've gotten this a couple of times and I personally loved it the first time but the second time I somehow felt it was a little less flavorful. The thali comes with paratha, rice, raita (not your usual!), and gulab jamun. Pretty filling. I've also tried a couple of their other specials like the chicken tikka frankie, and the chicken shami kebab pav. They may not be on the online menu but you can ask for them! Few of their chaat and other vegetarian dishes, I'm yet to try. I did try their Misal Pav and Vada Pav (2) in their opening week and I also highly recommend them. Extremely friendly owners I must say. They take customizations in terms of spice and oil/butter. I ask for spicy every time and it's actually not too spicy, just about right. They're also always adding new dishes and are extremely particular about the quality and flavor. I expect to be a repeat customer. There's decent amount of seating outside with a couple of other food trucks in the area as well.

A food truck with a big heart! In recent years, the number of Maharashtrian cuisine options in the Bay Area, especially in the South Bay, has exploded. Many of these establishments aim to ride the wave, but when it comes to authenticity and taste, they often fall short. Not Maya Kitchen. The owner, Paul, has curated a diverse menu featuring street-style vegetarian favorites like Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, and Misal Pav, alongside non-vegetarian delights like Keema Pav and Anda Keema Pav. Everything we tried was amazing. My favorites are the Kolhapuri Mutton Masala and Crab Masala - dishes I crave and will definitely come back for. A special shout-out to Umesh, who always makes us feel welcome. I hope you guys to grow and thrive! Highly recommend...

The taleriwali chai is incredible- especially on a rainy cold day. The egg dishes are superb. The owner is so confident of the quality of his food - money back if you don't like it! I usually do a take out - there is a nice place to sit under a tent and enjoy a dhaba style food.

New truck alert and a very good one! My family visited this when I was out of town a few weeks back and insisted I had to try it. We got: Kolhapuri desi murgh thali: (5/5): thick and richly flavored gravy. They didn't skimp on anything nor did they beef it up with fat or dairy. It was spicy but didn't cause a tummy upset and just awakened all my senses. Not just awaken, it sent my taste buds dancing in joy. Soya chaap thali (5/5): it was my first time trying soya chaap. The gravy in this case was definitely made with almonds. Lightly colored but again full of flavor. Very different from the chicken so they didn't take shortcuts by using same gravy base across the dishes. Salimar egg mughalai Hara masala (4/5): this was recommended by the owner. Gravy in this case was green and I could taste cilantro. It came with pav buns on the side. The thalis came with a paratha, rice, raita and a gulab jamun. I was impressed. Not because the food was excellent for food truck standards but because the food was outstanding. Keep in mind that I just returned from a trip to India so my metrics are pretty high. Across the three dishes we tried, each gravy base was unique, thick and richly flavored. I highly recommend trying them out ASAP. I was impressed enough to go and give feedback to the owner about how good their food is.

Absolutely love their food! Delicious flavors. Plus, they have a nicely lit seating area right next to the truck, and the service is pretty quick. Some of my go to food items - Veg Frankie - light yet filling Soya Chaap - curry is def flavourful Veg Chilli Momo - chilli tastes more like manchurian sauce but pairs well with the momos! Best part : they're open until midnight.

Outstanding Mumbai style authentic street food. Stumbled upon them through yelp and tried them out today. Pav bhaji was excellent with a good spice blend. Like it that way instead of bland. Veg Frankie was outstanding too. Plenty of street parking available in the gas station parking lot and they have some seating near the food truck too. Excellent local find and would definitely visit to try something else again.

A nice little street-side Indo-Chinese food truck with a fun, casual vibe. The food portions are generous and the spice level definitely hits the spot. That said, the flavors could be better--tasty but not as bold as I'd hoped. Still, a solid spot if you're craving quick, spicy street-style eats.

We tried a couple of dishes here, Veg Manchurian, Veg Triple Schzewan Fried Rice, and Veg Schzewan Chowmein. Only place in bay area that served triple schzewan fried rice with separate curry and manchurian. The live counter was good to watch (reminds india). We reached by 6:45 pm, and there was a delay in serving. It seems like they had an online order. Limited sitting area (4 tables) and was clean. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would go again to try snack items.

Love this place! The dahi batata puri and chicken maratha are so good - the chicken is so soft and curry is amazing! Def get the indo-chinese selection and jalebi as well.

Ordered chilli chicken and triple chicken rice. Chilli chicken tastes so bad. Too much soy saucy, no flavor, I can smell the chicken non veg taste all over the plate. Very much disapponted. I would give 0/5. Triple chicken rice is okay. I would guve 2.5/5.

One of the best food truck to serve delicious Maharashtrian and North Indian food in Bay area. We ordered Veg Frankie, Paneer Sandwich, Ragda Patties, Pav Bhaji, Methi malai, Kokum Sharbat, Mango Lassi and everything was amazing!! The seating area is cozy and maintained neatly. The pricing is so affordable!! The thali costed around $13.99 and the quantity was generous! They do have Live Pani Puri counter Thursday to Sunday. The service is fast, food came out so quickly!! I'm definitely going back to try more items on menu!

THIS IS THE BEST FOOD WE'VE HAD IN A WHILE! Very authentic Indian/Maharastrian dishes. The owner has over 20 years of culinary experience and it shows! We had Keema pav which was made with actual goat (mutton) and not lamb, very spicy missal, vada pav and even their chai was creamy and flavorful. We'll be back many more times and eventually try their whole menu! read more

Great Maharashtrian food. Been here twice so far and need to go back few more times to try out other things on the menu. Had Pav Bhaji which was good and then Kaala Mutton curry which was also good. Special thanks to the people working here too. Both times there were different people but they were each very hospitable. Now I don't have to drive all the way to Swaraj for this type of food. Hey SF Bay Area folks. This is a great find through serendipity. Diagonally from the Falafel Stop in Sunnyvale, we came across a very good permanent food truck. We were leaving our uncles place and at 9pm were hungry. While getting gas we saw Maya Kitchen with authentic Bombay / Mumbai street (chaat) food. My wife being the Pakka (true blood) Mumbaikar / Bombayite challenged the vendors. Well the food was spot on 100% excellent. The two founders started this two months ago, Harsh and Paul. Their day jobs are an executive chef at Google and regional GM at Hilton and are from Mumbai. They studied at the University of Bombay (KC). The bhel was amazingly spot on and right amount of peanuts, ragas patties was amazing. Lastly the pav Bhaji is straight from fresh tomatoes - no cans. We met a couple there and they were from Mumbai and they've have been here twice. Also if you are truly from there you can ask about some local favorites - not on menu. The food truck has permanent tables and seats as well. Mention we sent you there! If we are in the neighborhood we'll go there again. Move over Falafel stop. All others if you want to know what Bombay chaat food is just go here. And the Indian tea is spot on with zero sugar. Good Indian chai never needs sugar..... read more

Passed by this unassuming little place a few weeks ago while grabbing some take out at another restaurant in the plaza and decided to check it out. Was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was and since then I've been coming here a few times a week to try their many offerings. We ordered the Ragda, bhel, Vada pav and anda ghotala. Was delighted to find that there was fresh kokum sharbat too. The person at the window was super nice and the food was excellent. It's my first time trying anda ghotala so can't speak to the authenticity but it was very tasty. Will order again for sure. Even the sharbat reminded me of the restaurants I'd frequent in Dadar. Fantastic Mumbai street food! Hands down best vada, keema and misal pav in whole of Bay Area. We went back to them 3 days in a row. Food if freshly made and tastes authentic ( not super oily !!) just like your authentic joints back in Mumbai. Another thing is their chai, masala is superb and just the perfect match with your vasa pav. Can't wait to try all the other stuff they have on the menu. Highly recommended! read more

The best vada pav ( DADAR VADA PAV ) , THE BEST MISAL PAV AND PAV BHAJI... So yum and tasty!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This place also has a huge variety of veg and non-veg options to try.. They also have afternoon lunch combos, where they do momos, fried rice/chowmein and a chicken/gobi/tofu chilli. I missed this last time because I didn't know about it until I went there to pickup :(. It included rice, paratha, curry, raita, and a gulab jamun. The owner Paul David received us well and offering helpful recommendations match to our interests. The food was the real star, though! We tried the Dadar Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, Anda Kheema Pav- each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. The restaurant is small with seatings for about 25-30 people. Idlis have been my always favorite here. The sourness and texture is absolute perfect. The Mysore masala dosa had a moderate amount of the red masala or paste, so it wasn't spicy. Not to my liking so much. Sambar is not sweet (as expected) and is very flavorful. Also tried the podi masala dosa today, it had a decent amount of podi in it (not spicy). It is good, the dosa itself is neither thick nor too crispy - but thin. If you were looking for the texture details :) Next time I'll try the Mysore malli dosa which I missed to notice today ;( My friends also love the dipped mini idli/ Vada or idlis here. Loved the filter coffee in the end, it's a must for me! Tip: morning hours are very busy- plan to wait or visit at an odd hour like I did at 3 pm lol. You might see long queues during busy hours in the morning or evening!

When we got there, he said he gave out food away to someone else thinking we're not going to show up. He said they have biryani but ran out of haleem. So we got the 2 family pack mutton biryani and chicken 65. We get home, it's 1 pack mutton biryani and 1 pack haleem. It was the most DISGUSTING biryani I've ever had. I was really hungry so in somehow managed to eat 4-5 tablespoons of it. The experience was so horrible, I didn't even feel like tasting the haleem and chicken 65. The others in our group said those was not as bad as the biryani but not good either. Please please please do not ruin your plans and cravings by ordering here. Go literally anywhere else .

The Benagalore Benne Dosa had a nice potato curry mixture in it, fluffy interior dosa with crispy exterior and nice sauces to dip in. The Parota was very flaky and delicious - highly recommend. It came with a side of kurma which is black eyed peas in a curry, as well as channa which is chickpeas in a curry. They went nicely with the parota. The thali was exceptional, lots of options and variety of items to try. Portion is large and I recommend trying this. For two people, these three dishes were enough and we had leftovers to take home. Definitely will be back here.
