Beautiful resort with great (and professional) staff. The service was outstanding and the most memorable for me was the food. There are four restaurants at this resort that you can choose from. One of my favorites was Bakal. We dined here everyday choosing the breakfast buffet for most of our stay. They had a delightful array of juices, a salad bar, an omelet station and a plethora of hot items. Miguel, our server, was very personable and accommodating - actually all of the staff was exceptional. I miss the food and prodigious service already. Believe it or not, I had one of the best margherita pizzas from this resort. Coming from Chicago says a lot as we're supposedly known for pizza. This one was better than any of the pizzas (deep dish and thin crust) that I've consumed in Chicago. The private beach is nicely kept with easy access from the resort. There are two wonderful pools that are nicely situated from the beach and resort. Also, the resort is in close proximity to the marina (5 minute walk), which is great if you want to dine at other restaurants or just get out and look around. AB, who was part of the activity staff, was also wonderful. He taught me Blackjack and on another day we did stretching and yoga. What a fantastic way to start out the day. Overall, my week's stay was fabulous. The only complaints I have are 1.) the resort charged us $500 USD upfront when checking in, which is used against all charges made at the resort and 2.) they charged us about $12 USD (charity fee) when checking out. They say it goes towards helping the children, which I'm pretty skeptical about. Other than that, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is planning a vacation in PV. read more
