Let us sample quite a few different flavors to narrow down what we wanted(my wife and I are from Chicago, and this was our first time). We both fell in love. This location also had some specialty flavors when I visited two weeks ago. One a seasonal flavor, one a flavor only available at this location. Black vanilla, and marble berry which is a strawberry matcha ice cream. I'm not normally a vanilla ice cream fan, and let me tell you, best vanilla ice cream I've ever tried here in Jax! Seriously. The servers are so nice and helpful. One of the best things is that you can split the pilot scoop into 2 different flavors. I got the aviator and the parent trap (my 2 favs) and it really hit the spot!! My friend got the sorbet and said it was really good. I almost got a pint to-go but exercised some self control LOL. This is a Floridian ice cream chain of about 15 at the time of this review. It's a classic ice cream parlor inside, sans the checkered floors. (Wood floor is nice.) The server was very friendly and it was relatively quiet inside. There are tables outside too, overlooking your parking spot. There are about 20 different flavors available at any given time from what I could tell. They offer seasonal like pumpkin and winter holiday themed. We went for the blueberry toast crunch and the Canadian maple (exact name is escaping me.) On a pretzel cone! They were delightful. I would just buy the cone if they'd let me. Pints are available too, along with a few parlor specials like their aviation take on a banana split. A few things before you go, it's a bit pricey. Two cones were around $15. The ice cream is delicious but for those who know why Jersey cows are the preferred breed for ice cream, it's not the creamiest or best you've had. It's not however generic, either and it's worth trying and judging for yourself. There is a coffee shop and wine shop inside, too. The hours are limited in the evenings, or at least on the Monday night I went, so check before you go. There is a website with some flavors listed, hours, locations, etc. Yes, samples are permitted. The Parent trap was a hit with the kids and I loved the blueberry, which I normally don't like much. Prices are reasonable for a flight but too much for a single scoop so definitely get the flight to split to make it a good deal. Staff is friendly and service was great.
