The torta was amazing!! Not your average torta btw. It is two buttered teleras with ham, bistec, scrambled eggs with peppers, tomatoes & avocado. Definitely coming back for this one! They have daily specials & they even cater. While we waited the son came out & offered chips & beans & gave us a short history of how this spot came to be & the story behind the name. Also, like the other reviewer says they don't post prices so they can charge everyone different prices, which is another reason I stopped going. Oh man where to begin! The food is amazing & reasonably priced! I didn't catch the man's name who helped me but he was very inviting. You can tell him & his mom love what they're doing. You can literally taste the love in their food. Super nostalgic, reminds me of my own mom's cooking. The beans are a must try. They give Miguel's beans a run for their money!! We stumbled up Mayitas at Electric Brewery this past weekend, when we arrived the first thing we noticed was that the food smelled amazing but knowing we just ate prior to coming to the brewery, we weren't looking to order anything at the time. This review is more about the staff of the food truck than the food because we didn't try much of the food. A little while into is hanging out at the breweries one of the guys working the truck came out and gave us a free sample of their meats and chips and it was delicious! We eventually ended up ordering our baby a side of rice for her to snack on as she was getting grumpy and then they brought us out a free sample of their beans to try! The rice and beans were delicious and again we were impressed. Right as we're packing up, the owner came out and gave us a small taco to try, stating that he noticed our little one enjoying the rice so much he wanted us to partake too! We ended up having such a nice conversation with him where we learned his mom makes all the food, that all the meats are marinated for multiple hours and that they are a family run business. Such a pleasant experience from an owner you can tell actually cares! We are new to the Murrieta area but can't wait to find their truck again and try a lot more items on their menu!
