I stumbled upon this place while driving around waiting for my dog to be groomed. The entire atmosphere and look reminded me of those small town places in movies. However this was real life. You walk into a market with fresh produce, dairy, pies, old school candy, ice cream, candles and more. The restaurant is in the back very cute. As I sat and waited for my order a regular walked in his name was Tom he will be 91 this August I believe and the waitress knew all this about him. Knew his order everything. In walks a couple they know Tom and the waitress as well knew they wanted HIC to drink. Towns and communities like these are places I wish existed more. What a Gem I discovered.

After a nice hike first thing in the morning, we wanted to grab a bite to eat and were recommended Jolene's. I was excited to try because I love trying new spots and have never noticed it in the area before. We got a parking spot and walked over to the front, which I think was accidentally the back of the restaurant. We asked for a table for 3 and were asked to wait in the store, which had a lot more room. It was actually really fun to walk around and see what goods they sold, which ranged from freshly-made jelly to all kinds of beef jerky. It was a great way to keep us occupied, help sell locally-made products, and see what we've got in the area. We walked around for maybe 25 minutes before we were seated and tucked near the back of the restaurant. It was a pretty busy morning since we could see a lot of others waiting and many people that our server had to walk around and work with. Unfortunately, that meant we were waiting for a bit to get our orders, but we could tell it's because of how busy things were at the restaurant (it was around 11ish, so peak brunch time). When we got our food, we were pretty happy with our orders. I love when breakfast spots serve skillets, so I was happy to order the hometown skillet. I liked the mix of the skillet but was looking for a hotter mix and crunch with the skillet. It was still very tasty! The biscuits and gravy were just okay for us, since there wasn't much and not as flavorful as we hoped. The service, however, was very good and helpful in making sure we were satisfied after we did have our food. Overall, we were good with the meal and experience for the most part. I'd love to try some of their sweeter breakfast options and/or lunch menu the next time around.

Food was ok for a country diner. Eggs were little overcooked and cheese not melted but flavor was good on everything. They do have great coffee but skip the tea.

This place was very cozy feeling, the area is such a nice farm environment and welcoming, the staff here were super nice and helpful with recommending options, the food was great a lot better than i expected it to be recommend coming here for brunch with your family.

Great food and service. We enjoy breakfast at Jolenes at least once a week. An old time country store attached to the restaurant.

From the outside, it has an old Western vibe, but once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. Drink prices are fair, and Heather, our bartender, was great. I will say, though, she went a little heavy on the food coloring in my green beer lol. At first, the place felt a bit cliquey, like the locals weren't too welcoming to outsiders. But as the night went on, the vibe relaxed, and we ended up having a really good time. That said, some areas still felt a bit cliquey. They do have a kitchen, but it closes at 9:30 p.m. After that, they offer pizza by the slice for around $2, if I remember correctly. Parking can be a bit limited since it's located in a smaller shopping center.

It was fairly slow when we were there, but the service wasn't very attentive to females. The bartender seemed to focus mostly on the men at the bar and didn't really acknowledge the women much. The crowd and environment also didn't feel very welcoming. I noticed some offensive symbols and imagery among patrons and even displayed by staff, which made the space feel uninviting and uneasy. I only ordered drinks, not food, but the food I saw coming out didn't look very appealing. Overall it just wasn't my type of place and I wouldn't return. Definitely more of a trashy vibe.

Well, let me first state by saying that I haven't had a meal there yet. I went to check it out but…read moreI had just eaten so I had a beer. I met one of the owners and he was very charming and we had a nice chat and he handed me a discount coupon for a free appetizer or something for my return which is a clever move. It's a refreshing nicely curated interior, unseen in the Menifee area. This brings a little "elevated" sophistication to retirement central! A ray of SUN in the CITY one might say. Applebee's regulars be prepared for a new experience that might shock you if you can take the leap. The lovely plated dishes coming out of that kitchen were top-notch architectural masterpieces. I will have to return soon, but I'm vegetarian so I might have some limitation, but we'll see. Maybe they'll whip something up? The interior is trying to be real hip and it sort of works in a positive way but a little bit of that modern gauche. You know, kind of like Z gallery meets mid-century with a slight Lichtenstein tribute with a cartoonish flavour. It does work though, and carries to the exterior or the exterior carries to the interior? With the limitations of a strip mall it's a little bit hard to put lipstick on a pig. But they've executed it well and it's inviting and a departure from the norm. I'm excited to get there soon.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's decorated beautifully and has a very welcoming atmosphere. I wasn't very hungry, so I only ordered the fried pickles, but they were absolutely fantastic. My wife ordered the fish tacos and loved them. So often when you order fish tacos, you end up searching for the fish, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The tacos were packed with fish and generously portioned. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more items from the menu. Highly recommend checking this place out!
