The connection was hit and miss for awhile, then stopped completely. That is when I found the micro USB connector was loose. I reached out to Garmin And discovered that they don't repair their GPS products, they wants you to buy a new one. I heard on. A Goldwing forum that Nabils Electronic Repair services Garmin units and their website extensively described what my exact problem was. I mailed off my 595LM and had excellent correspondence and a reasonable turn around. I pleased with the resulting repair and highly recommend Nabilis for any Garmin GPS repairs.

I was looking to get my Garmin Nuvi GPS repaired. This place came up in the search. Decided to call…read morebefore I visited just to make sure that it could be repaired. I spoke to this guy that said his name was Nabils and that he was the owner and blah blah blah. He said that they could repair it. I said ok, I'll be there to drop it off in an hour or so. He asked if I had the address and I read back the one that is posted here and he confirmed, yes, that's it. Drove to the address to find out that it's a private house in a residential area. Something that was never mentioned during our conversation. When I got there I called him because I thought I was in the wrong place. He then said " sorry I didn't tell you that it's a home based business". Wtf? Over the phone he made it seem as if he had employees and an actual store. What a waste of my time! Creep!

I used the mail in disc repair service a few times. First time I used it, I was impressed, really…read moreblown away by the job they did. A few jobs in, I was returned discs covered in the buffing media. Pretty much every disc (16/20) were now in worse condition. buffing media had created rub marks on the discs. Now there were marks on both sides and you cannot remove marks on the info side of the discs. Their mishandling shows a total lack of care and QC in their repair department. The fact that I had to send back discs in the first place is not acceptable. So, I send them back and am told that Asuradisc will learn from the experience. It seems like those were empty words. I received the discs back and 3 were completely ruined! They had been damaged beyond salvage. The cost to replace the 3 discs through Amazon would be over $120. The 1st disc, had a thin scratch on info side through the foil layer. The second disc had the the foil layer partially removed by what appears to be the repair machine because it's in a spherical shape. The third disc had a ring of dimples in the foil layer in the same diameter as the damage to the 2 disc. I was beyond angry. No note of apology was included and my requests for retribution from Azuradisc went unanswered. After doing a lot of research to find another repair method, I found VenMill machines. Look them up. They also do mail in disc repair at KeepItPlaying.com.

Here is the email I sent to them after I tried the disc they had "repaired"…read more "I just thought I'd let you know that your service made the disk much worse. When I received it there were visible marks on the DVD that I swear were not there when I sent it in. The DVD rattled around in the cakebox on the return shipment so may have incurred additional damage that way. Either your service is terrible or your machines don't work. This DVD was a precious memory for my family. I would have gladly paid much more to have it repaired. Now it is trash. Your company should not do that to people. If you can't do a good job for what you charge, you should either raise your price or stop doing it." If you try them I sincerely hope that they do a better job for you.
